Five Dream Main Roster Opponents For: War Raiders

The WWE tag team division is one that does need work. The talent is most certainly there with some amazing names on the roster and in recent years we really have seen some epic encounters amongst the division. Over on the black and gold brand current NXT tag team champions War Raiders are continuing to prove that the future of tag team wrestling in the WWE is strong and in good hands but with so much left for these guys to show just who are the dream opponents for these up and coming stars of the tag team division.

The Bar

While I continue to want to see more of Cesaro on his own the Bar remain one of the best tag teams on the main roster today and make for great future opponents for the War Raiders! Both teams hold great dominance and power and a collision amongst the two promises some great demonstrations of exactly that! While a storyline may not be as strong between these and the same goes for the chemistry in comparison to other teams, we will be discussing today in this list but the match itself promises to be full of great spots and would make for an excellent first main roster encounter for the War Raiders.

New Day

The New Day has been one of the best tag teams on the wrestling scene for nearly five years and in that time, they have had historic and multiple reigns as champion competing in some of the best tag team encounter in the history of the WWE. Now, while the trio may have a split coming up in the future there are still multiple matches, I want to see them apart of and that includes a collision with the current NXT tag team champion, War Raiders. Two very different teams in terms of character, personality and style there is no taking away the fact that this is a perfect example of opposites attracting. I’m confident that a collision between these two fantastic teams could result in another total classic and another all-time great for the New Day. These two teams have so much in-ring talent and diversity amongst them that when put in the ring together you cannot deny the absolute magic that will take place.

The Revival

My personal favourite tag team in the WWE today has got to be the Revival. While I may not be the biggest fan of how they have been booked even as champions I still have hope that the WWE will turn things around and really allow Dash and Dawson to show the world what they are capable of! Now, as far as dream matches go, the Revival vs War Raiders is most certainly at the top of the list! Two of the best tag teams to step foot in NXT they truly do show that tag team wrestling can be epic today and the future of the division is massively strong. If the WWE were to give these two teams say twenty minutes I have no doubt something epic would go down and create a whole new buzz around tag team wrestling in the WWE.

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows

WWE fans really haven’t been able to see exactly how good Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows truly are especially as a tag team. They have been massively held back and underutilised since they arrived in the WWE and it’s a true shame. Now, of the War Raiders are to come up to the main roster within the next year fans can expect Anderson and Gallows to be pushed as their first opponents and take part in a series of matches against the up and coming team. Knowing the WWE, this will probably see Anderson and Gallows not given the chance to really make an impact, however, if the WWE, in fact, allow these two teams to really go at it and compete, we could have a great showing on our hands. The War Raiders can most certainly bring out a side of Karl and Luke that we haven’t seen since they debuted in the WWE and this is a real chance to turn things around and get people talking about a seriously underrated team.

The Usos

And of course, concluding this, as it will come as no surprise, we have the Usos. As arguably the best tag team on the WWE main roster today and possibly one of the best of all time, Jimmy and Jey are opponents who make any list involving dream tag team collisions. The pair have been apart of some of the best tag matches I have personally ever seen and with the War Raiders doing the same thing outside of the WWE I have wanted to see the two teams clash for a long time! The War Raiders haven’t shown WWE fans a fraction of what they are truly capable of and given time in the ring with the Usos I truly believe we could see exactly that! I’m also confident the two teams will push each other amazingly well and bring out a side we haven’t seen from either tag team. This a true dream contest the WWE must provide fans with in the future.
