Wrestlemania 35: Bold Predictions

This weekend the historic thirty-fifth anniversary of Wrestlemania will take place and what a night we have in store! Promising to be the longest event in WWE history, the company have created a stacked card seeing all-time greats collide, championships on the line, Hall of Famers careers come to an end and historic main event seeing women close Wrestlemania for the first time ever! In today’s blog post we are going to be diving into some of the biggest predictions of the night and discussing what should and could happen this coming Sunday.

EC3 Wins the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal isn’t something I usually take seriously or greatly anticipate with such a stacked roster its almost impossible to not have at least some excitement and interest in this years match up! There are so many potential winners this time around however, the man I’m backing has got to be EC3. Yet to make a major impact on the main roster its vital he beings to change that around and picking up the win this Sunday at the Battle Royal is an excellent way to kick start that exactly! This would also make for a brilliant opportunity to possibly kick start a rivalry between EC3 and Braun Strowman meeting for the first time in this battle royal and colliding one on one the following night on RAW.

Seth Rollins Will NOT Beat Brock Lesnar

As I mentioned on Twitter earlier this week, I want nothing more than to see Seth Rollins walk out of Wrestlemania the new Universal Champion and burn down suplex city. There most certainly needs to be change in champion and a feeling of a new era however, Rollins, unfortunately, won’t be the man to do it. I’m confident Rollins will have a fantastic showing and come very close to walking out the victor, but the end result is likely to see the Beast retain his title. The WWE is sure to keep the title on Lesnar a little longer and its name such as Reigns, McIntyre, and even Lars Sullivan the company are more likely to favour as the man to dethrone Brock. Expect another excellent showing from Rollins regardless!

Kofimania!

Now, a feel-good moment may not happen in the Rollins vs Lesnar match this weekend, however, when fans witness Kofi Kingston go one on one with Daniel Bryan for the WWE championship I’m confident a feel-good moment is exactly what will happen. The WWE has created an excellent build to this match that has left fans totally hooked and emotionally invested! The WWE universe is completely behind the veteran in Kofi Kingston and no moment will feel better on the night than Kingston defeating Bryan and becoming the WWE Champion. He may have a short title reign ahead of him but this victory on Sunday will build the next chapter for some excellent story work, matches, and the possible split of the new day. Expect this to be one of the best matches of the night, one of the most emotional and the biggest feel-good ending!

Triple H Will Silence Batista

Growing up in a time where both Triple H and Batista were killing it in the WWE I have grown to become an adult totally obsessed with both superstars and so watching them collide at Wrestlemania for a second time in the career has me very excited! The no holds bards match promises to be a total must see and classic contest, however, while I may be pulling for Batista to walk away with the win Triple H putting his career on the line means I highly doubt he will, in fact, suffer the loss come Sunday. It would, of course, make for a super cool moment to see Batista take out Triple H again but with Hunter still able to fit in more matches and big events coming up this is not the last time we will be seeing Triple H in the ring however, don’t sleep on what will be an epic match especially for anyone my age!

Dominic Will Play a Role in US Title Match

Given enough time on Sunday, I have no doubt that Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio could put on an excellent match that presents several standout moments and spots keeping the crowd loud and interactive. In recent weeks we have seen Mysterio’s son appear on Smackdown LIVE and its clear that hasn’t been done for no reason what so ever. Sure, to be at ringside during his father’s match Dominic is very likely to play some kind of role whether it be a small spot behind the refs back or turning on his father in a shocking twist. Either way, Dominic will ensure more depth is added to this title bout.

Roman Reigns’ Victory

It’s a major deal in itself that Roman Reigns is even able to compete at this years Wrestlemania, but I think most fans are expecting him to pick up the win regardless. Both he and McIntyre have a huge future ahead of them and big matches awaiting them, however, I’m expecting this bout to be one of the shorter, more simple matches of the night with a few impressive and powerful spots that keep everyone invested but the end result is very likely to see Reigns score the win, gain some momentum and we will witness McIntyre turn things around for himself and regain momentum of his own in the following weeks.

Becky Lynch Will Take it All

This Sunday the WWE Universe will witness history made once again for the Women’s division when Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey take the women’s evolution to heights we didn’t even believe imaginable by main eventing Wrestlemania! As the biggest and most anticipated matches of the night it was clear no match was better suited to main event Sunday’s huge event than this triple threat! Now, there is no denying that literally any one of these three women could take the win this weekend after all, they all share a great deal of momentum and are three of the biggest and best names in the history of the division, however, the fan favourite here is without a shadow of a doubt, Becky Lynch. Fans have been pulling for Lynch from the get-go and there truly is no better way to conclude the night and kick start a new era in the WWE than crown Becky Lynch Champion and watch her walk out with both titles. It must also be mentioned that the WWE would most certainly receive some huge backlash if Lynch doesn’t walk out as champion!

As for the rest of the card fans can expect some great matches to take place on the night! Orton vs Styles has had a solid build with some amazing mic work that has really left me personally very excited for this match! I believe this is one of the more unpredictable bouts with neither star likely to suffer massively from a loss. Expect some great spots and an epic ending! Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin may not be a huge fan favourite and while I’m not the biggest supporter of this match myself and believe the WWE really missed out on an opportunity here to create an epic final Mania match for Kurt however, this is sure to see him pick up one last win. We can expect no titles in the tag division to change hands and The Miz is most like to also walk away with the win over Shane McMahon but of course, we can all expect to see Shane jump off of something and possibly even the Miz perform a big surprise spot.

And those are my Wrestlemania predictions for this Sunday's must-see event! As always, I will be live tweeting throughout the show and you can tell me what your predictions are by leaving a comment below or by tweeting me over at @TezangiVictoria.
