Night Of Champions Predictions: Seth Rollins VS John Cena

United States Championship Match
Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good. This Sunday live on the WWE Network and cable TV, the WWE will present the two thousand and fifteen Night Of Champions pay per view. The show will be held in Houston Texas as the WWE takes over the Toyota Center and the match card is without a doubt one of the strongest of the year so far. If I'm being completely honest, I have over the years lost a lot of interest in this pay per view. If we go back six years ago or so the scene was very different and we had many more championships on the roster and so it does kind of feel like there's no need for the pay per view any more. However, I am super excited for the show this Sunday and I'm looking forward to most of the matches set to take place. Throughout this week it is of course Night Of Champions prediction week witch means that all week right up until Saturday I will be uploading my full predictions for every single match on the Night Of Champions card. I will be recapping all of the action from the past month, taking a look back at what all the superstars have been up too and then of course taking an even deeper look into the individual predictions. On Sunday I will of course be live tweeting throughout the show and the links to all my social media will be listed bellow at the end of the post. Also on Sunday I'll be uploading my support pictures to let you know who I will be backing for every match. Before we start I have a couple of updates for you. Now, next month I will have a new series on my blog. July and August was of course NXT month (and I still have a couple of blog post to upload from that) but next month it will be a new series here and I would love to know what you would like to see, so let me know down in the comments bellow. You have two weeks to let me know what you want next month to be dedicated too. I also would really love to know what posts you would like to see here on my blog before October. I really want to start uploading more regularly and writing more diverse blog posts so let me know as well what you would like to read every day. I will link bellow any recent blog post and you can let me know what your predictions are for all the matches this weekend by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

This Sunday, live on the WWE Network Seth Rollins will face he toughest challenge yet when he takes on two future hall of famers in two separate matches in one night as he defends he's WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting and he's United States Championship against long time rival, John Cena. In today's blog post we are taking a look at the first match up as he does battle with the fifteen time world champion in what is set to be a killer of a match. We know from past history between these two superstars that we can expect nothing but the best from the pair of them when they share a ring together. This Sunday the steaks are higher than ever for both Rollins and Cena but who out of the two will be walking out of Night Of Champions with the United States championship? In today's blog post I'm going to be taking you back through all of the action we have seen from the pair over the past month and making my final bold predictions for their match. We have so much to get through in today's blog post so let's waste no time and jump right into the action!

Here is what I wrote about Seth Rollins in last months top fifteen superstars of the month blog post:
"Coming in at number three and just missing out on the top spot this month is WWE World Heavyweight Champion and United States Champion, Seth Rollins. It feels so good to finally be able to put Rollins back in my top twenty list and at a high number. You guys would have all seen that over the past three months or so I haven't had much positive things to say about Rollins. We kind of saw him go through a dodgy side in he's career were everything just felt repetitive and predicable and as a Seth Rollins fan it was beyond frustrating to watch. However, the month of August has been a good one for Rollins and we have finally seen him climb back on top and prove why he is the champion of all champions in the WWE right now. Right at the very start of the month we saw Seth go one on one with Adrian Neville in what was an amazing championship match. We hardly get to see championship defended on RAW and even though the match was predicable it was one of my favourites of the entire month and it was the start of Rollins making he's way back to the top and in my good books. The week after that he defend the championship yet again when he took on Randy Orton in what was yet another great match. I cannot put into words just how much I have enjoyed watching Rollins defend the champions. It's so refreshing seeing matches that feel so important on RAW instead of saving all the championship matches at pay per view shows. It was about time he was booked as a champion and we really saw that this month, finally. He also had one great Smackdown match when he teamed up with Kevin Owens to take on the team of Cesaro and Adrian Neville where he yet again had another strong showing. The biggest storyline for Rollins this month has been he's feud with Cena when he broke he's nose taking the fifteen time champion out of action for a couple of weeks. Throughout  August we saw some really strong promos from Rollins witch have contributed to him coming in at number two. Then of course we had the phenomenal championship VS Championship match at SummerSlam witch was just outstanding if we don't include the closing moments. Rollins was without a doubt the star of this match and you can see what I thought of this match in my SummerSlam Review witch will be linked bellow. Now, I may not have been and still may not like the idea of one superstar holding two championships at the same time but I cannot deny that Rollins earned that position and deserved it. He has been cemented as one of the greats of this generation and he's performance at SummerSlam will be one we all remember for years to come."

Last month at the SummerSlam pay per view Seth Rollins walked away both the United States and WWE World Heavyweight Champion after knocking off John Cena in what was a phenomenal match up. Of course he most probably would not have picked up the win or picked up the win as quickly if it wasn't for Jon Stewart attacking Cena during the closing moments but we spent a good couple of weeks talking about Stewart's involvement and I would much rather not go into that again. The most important thing is that the match itself was one of the best of the year and it was one of the biggest nights for Seth Rollins. It was yet another pay per view that saw the former Shield member prove that he is one of the greatest of this generation is fastly becoming of the best we have seen in the history of the WWE. You all know that I was not a fan of the idea of one superstars holding these two championships at the same time mainly because of how much it limits the other Superstars on the rosters opportunities. However, over the past month my opinions have slowly started to shift and I have found myself warming to the idea and this is all thanks to the good writing that we have seen in the build up to this Sundays pay per view. A thew weeks back we saw John Cena come down to the ring to prove a point to Rollins. To prove that he is just another current hot topic and another puppet that the Authority can use and play with. He highlighted the pathways of former superstars to stand alongside the Authority from Randy Orton, to J&J Security, to Kane, all of witch were dropped the moment something/someone better came along; and to prove that they didn't care about the double champion Cena requested he's United States Championship rematch to take place at Night Of Champions that would force Rollins to defend both titles on the same night in two separate matches. To Rollins surprise, Stephanie reluctantly agreed knowing full well that he would have to wrestle twice in one night. This means that Seth Rollins will without a doubt face he toughest challenge yet this up and coming Sunday when he takes on two future Hall Of Farmers on the same night. Two superstars who combined have been world champions for the bast four decades! Now that is a lot to compete with and all eyes will be on the self proclaimed architect of the WWE. Rollins has proven time and time again that he is a must see talent. We know that he is capable of putting on outstanding matches but the steaks are much much higher this weekend and the pressure is on. Seth Rollins needs to prepare for war. I do think this is an unpredictable match, it couple literally go anyway and that is what I love. These two superstars have delivered some of the greatest matches we have seen from the WWE in recent years and even though Rollins is under immense pressure we can all more than expect these guys to tare the house down once again and provide us with yet another potential match of the year candidate. Walking into this match Rollins does still have loads of momentum over Cena. He is still high on he's biggest victory to date after defeating him last month at SummerSlam and after taking him out of action in the build up to their first match last month. Not to mention that he will be going into this match as both the United States and WWE World Heavyweight Champion witch will be giving him the upper hand straight immediately anyway.  Regardless of the outcome to this match Night Of Champions will be a career defying night for Rollins.

Whether you're a fan of John Cena or not you cannot deny the clear and simple fact that he is one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time. A fifteen time world champion and a true veteran in the company. A clean victory over him still has the ability to validate any WWE superstar, all you have to do is take a look at Kevin Owen to prove that. Over the past couple of years we have seen some absolutely phenomenal matches between Cena and Rollins and this Sunday live on the WWE Network the pair will do battle once again for the United States Championship. Last month at SummerSlam the two put on one of the best matches of the night and one that is without a doubt a contender for match of the year. Cena has the ability to bring out the best in any opponent and with their amazing chemistry and history we know that it is safe to expect the very best from the two of them this weekend. Now, like I have already said, I wasn't a fan of the idea of having two championships on one superstar but I was expecting Cena to pick up the victory at SummerSlam if it was to end cleanly so I thought it was great that he took the loss against Rollins last month, will he be doing it again this weekend at Night Of Champions. I have already explained how they match came about but I will go over it again. So a week after SummerSlam and it was announced that Rollins will be defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting, John Cena had a little surprise in store for the dual champion when he came down to the ring with a lot to say. Claiming that Rollins was simply just another toy for the The Authority to use and play with and once they get bored of him and he becomes less valuable to them (by no longer holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and United States Championship) they will drop him just like they did with the likes of Randy Orton, Batista, and Kane. He went on to prove that that the Authority don't care about Rollins but cashing in he's United States Championship rematch that he is rightfully owed for Night Of Champions. Stephanie McMahon reluctantly agreed to the match up knowing full well that Rollins would have to wrestle twice in one night against two future hall of famers. This really was the moment that changed how I felt about one superstars holding the two championships. When Sting returned to the WWE to feud with Rollins and was given the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at NOC I was very worried about what they would do with US title and how they would book Cena. You would have seen here on my blog that I predicted they would have Cena feud with Sheamus so that when and if Sheamus cashed in the Money in the bank briefcase the two could feud for that championship but I did like what they actually ended up doing witch was having Rollins feud with both Sting and Cena. Now, we know that Cena is not going to go easy on Rollins this weekend just because he has two matches. The fifteen time world champion is really going to take it to the young star and push him to he's limits just like what we have seen in the past. I personally do think that Cena needs to take a clean loss to Rollins this weekend. There is no doubt that they will have a fantastic match up at Night of Champions. However, Rollins will be fortunate to walk out of the pay per view with one championship let alone two and he most likely going to be dropping the WWE World Heavyweight title to Sting. Keeping Rollins momentum at a high on the night will be key. If they have him take out Cena cleanly at the start of the show he will be beaming with momentum heading into he's second match and it will add to the excitement. Cena can take a loss and not have it effect him in the slightest. John does not need a championship to keep him in hot feuds/storyline's and there will be no need to put the US title back on him. After how the
SummerSlam match between these two ended between these two Rollins without a doubt is in need of the victory more than John Cena.

I am really looking forward to this match because we have always seen such outstanding matches between Cena and Rollins. It is likely to be the first match of the night meaning we could be looking at the best first match in Night Of Champions history. I do believe that the WWE are slowly setting up a Triple H VS Seth Rollins match up for Wrestlemania next year and this Sunday is going to be an important night in the build up. I do personally feel that because of this they should have had Triple H himself make the match between Cena and Rollins official just because it would have played a great part in the build up. However, everything is set for this match and it is bound to be a great one. I will be personally backing Rollins because I do believe he is the one in need of the victory more but like I have already said, regardless of the outcome, night of champions is bound to b a career defying pay per view for Seth Rollins.
