Six Top WWE Superstars Fans No Longer Care About

There is no denying the WWE has one stacked roster. With names including Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Ronda Rousey, Daniel Bryan, and AJ Styles making up the numbers, twenty eighteen is one of the most star-studded years for the company but there is also no denying the simple fact that there is a bunch of superstars not being given the spotlight nor the booking they truly deserve and its those names we are going to be focusing on today. Who should be champion? Who should be given more in-ring time? And who is the WWE giving up on?

THIS POST WAS PRE POSTED

Finn Balor

We just mentioned Finn Balor as one of the top talents in the WWE today contributing to why the roster is so stacked but it's evident he is nowhere near where he should be or where fans expected him to be. Upon signing with the WWE Balor’s NXT career was red hot with an NXT Championship reign along with several must-see bouts against some of the biggest names on the roster and all we saw from him there led everyone to believe his main roster run would be just as if not better, cementing himself as one of the brightest and biggest stars of this generation. Now, things, of course, started out great for Balor, he made history becoming the first ever Universal Champion, but an injury set him back massively and the Irish star has struggled massively to get back to that spot. Now working as a strong mid carder Balor has been held back greatly and it’s a shame. There were so many opportunities to push him to the stars and get him back on top, but we just haven’t seen it and with a feud against Baron Corbin has done him no favours and fans now have very little interest.

The Revival

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are without a shadow of a doubt one of the best tag teams of this generation. Their NXT run highlighted them as just that thanks to several must bouts against the likes of America Alpha, DIY, and the Authors of Pain. These matches changed the game in terms of tag team wrestling in the WWE today but noted the Revival as one of the biggest and most skilled teams in the wrestling world today. Since their main roster debut, however, the pair have struggled to have five minutes of in-ring time a week and it's clear they are not being used to their full potential in the slightest to the point where the best move for them is probably to head back to NXT. Hardcore fans want to care but with barely any content, any in-ring time, and no storyline we have no reason to care what so ever.

Sasha Banks

Okay so it may be a little extreme to say fans don’t care about Sasha Banks because she does remain one of the most must-see and gifted in-ring performers in the WWE as a whole, putting gender aside completely, however, in terms of storyline work there’s just such little interest. The WWE has failed her story with Bayley and Banks hasn’t been given the in-ring time to remind fans of why she is such a major part of the women’s division. We all know Sasha works far greater as a heel and that is one of the problems and if the WWE were to full-on turn her, create that true boss image we know and love, and give her and Bayley the time they deserve then this could so easily turn around massively and very quickly.

Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode is yet another name the WWE has struggled to push in the direction so many expected to see. Another superstar who had a brilliant run over in NXT just hasn’t been given the push or the airtime he has deserved and in fact, it has come as a surprise. Owning one damn good character full of so much potential Roode could enter a feud with so many names and make it a must-see. His experience plays a vital role and he has a great image, in the eyes of many, Bobby Roode is the dream WWE superstar but after a tough year fans just don’t care anymore and that’s a sentence no one expected to read a year ago.

The Bar

I’ll admit that I wasn’t the biggest fan of The Bar at the start. I’ve never really been the biggest fan of two great superstars randomly being put together as a team but with where these two were with their careers it just made sense and they have worked amazingly well becoming one of the best tag teams on the roster. However, since their move to Smackdown LIVE things just haven’t been great and its been reported that creative simply don’t have anything for them. The lack of story, purpose on the roster, and how little we have seen of them has only sent them further down the roster to the point where fans don’t really have much of an interest. These two could so easily be put in a big lengthy match and this would turn around, but I get the feeling things won’t be changing anytime soon.

Bobby Lashley

I hate that I have had to include this superstars name in today’s blog post but unfortunately, it has to be said, things are not going great for Bobby Lashley. After his win against Roman Reigns at the recent Extreme Rules pay per view many believed things would be turning around for the former IMPACT star. With SummerSlam on the horizon and momentum now on his side this was the chance for him to make his way into the Universal Championship picture and challenge Brock Lesnar in what is a dream match for many. However, the WWE very quickly set him back again after Reigns scored a victory over Lashley to earn another Universal Championship match. The decision is by far one of the worse of the year and has done nothing for Lashley. We now don’t know what the WWE is going to do with him and it’s so clear this was a huge mistake. Lashley has all the credentials to not only be a top star but the man to beat Brock Lesnar and reach new heights. In my opinion, It doesn’t make any sense to have Bobby where he is right now but just like many of the names we have mentioned today, I don’t see things changing any time soon.

And those are just six of the top talents fans don’t care about right now! Of course, I would love your input and to hear who you would have added to this list so feel free to leave a comment below or drop me a tweet over at @TezangiVictoria 😊
