Dream WWE Opponents For: Tessa Blanchard

So, we several weeks into my new little series here on my blog which involves me taking a look at several dream main roster matches for a number of NXT stars. These have become some of my favourite posts to write and I love reading so many different opinions. This week, however, I have decided to shake things up a little and instead of looking at a current NXT talent I want to talk about one of the hottest talents on the wrestling scene today and a trailblazer in the women’s evolution: Tessa Blanchard. The entire wrestling community is talking about this woman and so today I thought I would list five dream WWE opponents for her! This will be the start of more posts like this where we look at talent outside of the WWE!

Vs Sasha Banks

One of my personal dream matches that have been on the list for quite some time now is of course, Sasha Banks vs Tessa Blanchard.  By far two of the best wrestlers in the world today putting gender aside completely, the two over the years have been apart of several truly amazing matches that have shaped and changed the state of women’s wrestling. While the two have differences in the ring with Blanchard is more of a powerhouse and Banks faster the two have all the potential in the world to provide a total must-see and I don’t doubt for a second that clash between these two huge personalities and amazing talents will result in something so special it could main event a major pay per view.

Vs Bayley

Tessa Blanchard makes for one damn good heel. Her recent work over in Impact wrestling has proven that point amazingly well and its what we have seen from her there that has really left me wanting to see Blanchard collide with former women’s champion, Bayley. It’s been a tough couple of years for Bayley, but this is a woman that shines in the role of the underdog, the top babyface and a bully like, confident and cocky heel in Tessa Blanchard could make for an excellent story where their match would further push the storyline. Again, both amazingly talented its clear this could go down as one of Bayley’s best ever matches and rivalries!

Vs Ronda Rousey

It has been proven throughout her career that Tessa Blanchard is an extremely confident talent who has truly worked her way up to the top with no help regardless of her families legacy. Taking on a talent like Ronda Rousey is something I would pay serious money to see. This is a match that really would make for an interesting and unpredictable watch with the two both so different yet so powerful and skilled in the ring. The story that could be told between these two could easily have main evented the up and coming all women’s pay per view and Blanchard has all the potential in the world to give Rousey her best match to date. A cocky, third generation talent coming to challenge the baddest woman in the planet is something I know I can most certainly invest in!

Vs Asuka

I’ll admit that it has been quite some time since I last enjoyed an Asuka match and in all fairness, since her last to Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania things haven’t been as good for the former NXT Women’s Champion. An opponent like Blanchard makes for a true dream! It’s this kind of rivalry and match up that could bring Asuka and her WWE career back to life but also welcome a new top dog in Tessa perfectly to the roster. If Blanchard is to ever sign with the WWE full time, then this is a contest fans must see for it will benefit both women massively!

VS Charlotte Flair

And finally, the match that truly tops this list has got to be Charlotte Flair vs Tessa Blanchard. This match has got to happen at some point. Arguably two of the best female wrestlers in the world right now and all-time standouts these are the women at the top of their game. They both have their characters nailed perfectly, they have both been a part of some truly outstanding matches throughout their careers, and of course, as two superstars coming from a family of wrestlers, this is a story that really does write itself. Regardless of who plays the heel and who plays the role of the babyface this is a must-see and could go on to change the shape of the women’s’ division and women’s wrestling even more not to mention how this could easily be sold as the main event of any major pay per view and with the right booking and storytelling that includes Wrestlemania. I’m confident the WWE will sign Blanchard at some point within the next year and from that point its simply inevitable that these two evolution leaders will collide!

And that is my list! In all honesty, there were so many women I wanted to include in this post and most certainly could have made this a list of ten, but I was able to narrow it down to the top five!
