RAW Predictions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all doing very well! So it's Monday all over again witch of course means it's time for my RAW Predictions. A post I hate doing but one that seems to go down very well. We are only two weeks away from the Payback pay per view. I know, it only feels like yesterday that it was Extreme Rules. If you ask me I think they put to the two pay per views far too close. I haven't had any time to get over Extreme Rules and take a break. But anyway, it's here now and next week I will be back with my Payback prediction week, running from Monday all the way through to Saturday. Then I will be live tweeting on Sunday throughout the pay per view from the kick off show using the hash tag "Payback". From the Monday after Payback I will be uploading my NXT Takeover predictions. I've already started writing both prediction series' up and so there are a bunch all ready to start going up. You guys might be aware that I was going to do a special dedicated month in May but because it is such a busy month I've decided to move it all to June instead. So if you have any ideas on what you would like to see dedicated to June here on my blog do please let me know before the end of the month. As usual I will link bellow any recent posts including my top five superstars of the week and last moths top fifteen superstars and top twenty matches of the month. Finally, you can let me know what your predictions are for tonight's show and the Payback pay per view by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

With the Payback pay per view only two weeks away and only two matches officially announced for the show, tonight on RAW we can see the hype for the pay per view increase;  As more matches will be announced and the the push for those already announced with continue. We can expect stars such as Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, John Cena, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, and Seth Rollins compete or at least make an appearance on the show tonight.

Last week the WWE brought back the King Of The Ring and the tournament was one not to be missed. You guys would of known that I predicted Ambrose or Neville to win the whole thing but in the end neither did and instead another favourite of mine, Bad News Barrett was crowned the two thousand and fifteen King of the ring winner. Witch by the way I had no problem with. Most of the matches in the tournament were really strong and I enjoyed two in particular and both made it in my top twenty matches of the month list. But where do the WWE go from now on with Bad News Barrett? Or should I say King Barrett? Just because he is the King of the ring winner it doesn't mean the WWE will through him into any main event picture but for the simple fact that he is the king of the ring winner means that there will be a spotlight on Barrett that he hasn't had as of yet. We have seen him have some great matches over the past couple of months and he has been put centre of attention on several occasions and now, we can see things go up a notch now that he has that crown. Don't  get what I'm saying confused. Winning the King of the ring will not have the same effect on Barrett as it did superstars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart. The tournament was rushed. It was only announced to be brought back at Extreme Rules and the whole thing only lasted two days. The king of the ring last all it's importance and interest a long time ago but I do think it could still be used greatly if done right. But with all done and dusted now it's time to look at how the WWE can use he's win to put him on track. What we will be seeing is an even more cocky Barrett and well let's just say he has a thew new props to play with against opponents. We will see a new King gimmick come into play much more and of course him being English makes things way more interesting and allows creative to do a bunch of entertaining things with him. Being the king of the ring will force the WWE to put him on our screens more. They wouldn't be stupid enough to waste all he'e efforts and if he carries on working matches like he has done recently he could easily begin to make he's way closer to the main event picture. Tonight, I think we could see Barrett possibly in tag team action. Maybe teaming with Sheamus (a former King of the ring winner) and taking on Neville and Ziggler. A match I'm so down for. Or something I would love even more. a strong one on one booking against someone like Orton or Reigns, the best ending to this match would of course be a DQ. Maybe Barrett takes things too far and leaves a beaten down opponent left for the Authority to finish off.

The King of the ring tournament also saw tensions continue to rise between Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler. On RAW last week we saw Ziggler cost Dean Ambrose the shot at becoming the king of the ring winner when he attacked Sheamus leaving the match resulting in DQ. Then, the following night Ziggler distracted Sheamus in the second round allowing Neville to score the win and advance to the finals. Right now we are seeing a lot of amazing work from Ziggler, Sheamus, Barrett and Neville so I wouldn't be surprised if we got a tag team match involving these guys tonight and as I already said, I wouldn't mind seeing that at all. Another match possibility is a one on one match between Ambrose and Ziggler. Dean did say in a backstage interview last week that he forgave Dolph for costing him the match but knowing WWE it's still likely they will put them in a match against one another tonight and with both having huge fan bases' it would mean it would generate a lot of interest. We could also have a rematch between Ambrose and Sheamus. Or one last one, Ambrose and Ziggler VS Sheamus and Barrett. Personally I'd like to see Sheamus in something more tonight, maybe a one on one against Roman Reigns. I know it's unlikely and the WWE will be focusing more on building up the feud between him and Dolph Ziggler. Their Payback match is most likely going to be made official tonight also. As for Adrian Neville it's hard to predict what they are going to do with him from one week to the next. They seem to be taken a more patient approach to he's build up. He's having great matches but not picking up many wins. It's possible he could accept Cena's open challenge this week or be in tag team action.

We already know that at Payback it will be John Cena VS Rusev in an "I quit" match and my predictions for that is already done and ready to go up next week. Last week on RAW, there was no open challenge match after Rusev attacked Heath Slater, who was the man set to take Cena on. I've already predicted that Neville will be the one to take on Cena tonight, but other possibilities include Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. I do however have a feeling that what we saw from Rusev last week will be a thing that will continue. We will see Rusev stop every open challenge leading right up to Payback, witch could work. I personally think we need to see Rusev in action before he's Payback match, so that he gain some extra momentum. A simple squash match is possible for tonight.

When it comes to divas action it looks as though the WWE are going to continue the feud between The Bella's and Naomi. Right now it seems like every diva apart from Paige is a heel and she's not even competing at the moment. But that could change tonight. I have heard that the film is finished filming now but I'm not sure how accurate that is. If so then we could see Paige back tonight. Maybe Naomi could be given a rematch for the divas championship at Payback and Paige comes out and attacks her. Or there's a championship match tonight between Nikki and Naomi and Paige makes her return and costs Naomi the match, leaving it as a triple threat at Payback for the title. If Paige isn't back tonight then we can expect Naomi to either be announced as the diva taking on Nikki in two weeks time for the divas championship or we might see her attack Nikki backstage or after Nikki has a match. The champion was in action last week on Smackdown but it would be nice to see her in action tonight on RAW also, to gain more momentum. This past week at live events Naomi has been working matches with Tamina in her corner, who seems to be working as her body guard. There is a possibility we could see a return from Tamina tonight and debut from Charlotte who has teased on Instagram/twitter a debut tonight and has been travelling with the main roster talent this week working in one on ones against Naomi.

Last week Brie Bella gave us an update on Daniel Bryan and we also found out that Bryan would be out of action for up to two months due to another injury. It was around the exact same time last year that Bryan had he's last injury and he was out of actin for months so it's not looking good at all for Bryan having another injury around the same time. Just like before, Daniel is holding a championship, and to be honest I can't see the WWE letting Daniel keep the title while he is out on injury especially when you look at what happened last year. Stripping him of the title seems like a huge possibility and something we will defiantly see tonight. That would mean that there is a title up for grabs. There could be another tournament over the next couple weeks with the final two going one on one at Payback, or it could be announced that there is going to be a Battle Royal for the title at Payback. Either way we can expect a bigger update on tonight's show.

There is a lot going on right now in the tag division and for once I'm really enjoying what we are getting. Last week on Superstars we got two great tag team matches that I did really get into, witch  was not expecting at all. On the main shows however, we are still seeing the New Day and Cesaro and Tyson Kidd go it as on RAW last week we got some singles action from members of both teams and then there was an Extreme Rules rematch on Smackdown a thew days later, witch by the way was an amazing match. By the way things are going there will be another match between the two teams at Payback in two weeks time, witch is likely to be announced on the go home show. Or we could see the Lucha dragons step up to the plate and take centre stage. Tonight however, I'd like to see something a little different. Maybe the New day taking on Titus O'Neil and Darren Young. The two have been running their mouths off a lot over the past couple of months about the New Day and they did pick up a huge win last week on Superstars. Maybe they could get a championship match for Payback. Unlikely but something I would really like to see. What we can expect tonight is more of the New Day getting under the skin of the WWE universe. That's for sure.

The feud between Ryback and Bray Wyatt is clearly going to continue tonight. I have already made it clear I have no interest in this feud but their match for Payback is likely to be announced tonight. I'd like  to see Wyatt in something much stronger tonight so that he can gain some momentum instead of just cutting an amazing promo. We need to see more of him.Tonight however, after two beat downs from Wyatt, it's likely Ryback will get a taste of redemption, maybe he'll give Bray a little taste of he's own medicine.

Finally, the main event picture, witch right now is all about Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Kane. Last week on Smackdown however, Dean Ambrose was put on the scene for a while as he went one on one in a great match against the champion Seth Rollins. The closing moments of the show saw The Authority attack Ambrose but Roman Reigns came to he's aid. What I would love to see tonight is a tag team main event with Reigns and Ambrose teaming up to take on Rollins and Kane. But then that leaves Orton out of the main event. As I mentioned earlier I honestly think putting Randy in a one on one match with Bad News Barrett (King Barrett) would really work. The two could easily put on a great match given enough time. Barrett could cause the match to end in DQ and Barrett leaves a beaten down Orton for the Authority to finish off. Or they could just make it a six man tag team match adding Orton to team Reigns and Barrett to team Rollins, witch I know is unlikely. What I want to see tonight, regardless, is a tougher Rollins. No more hiding behind the Authority and being made a joke of. I want that dangerous champion to fear back tonight. It will be interesting to see if Dean Ambrose will be able to get any redemption against the Authority after the beat down on Smackdown last week.
