5 Ways the WWE Can Save Bray Wyatt

Hello everyone an welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good and having a nice strong positive start to September. The Autumn/winter season is by far my favourite time of year and I've kick started the new month off rid of my flue and looking forward to a brand new chapter in my life. I'm very optimistic and excited for the future and I'm ready to start working harder an getting my shit together! Part of that involves uploading new and exciting posts far more often and I wanted to keep that in mind when thinking about today's blog post. Last week while I was ill I noted down some new ideas for up and coming blog post and that list did of course involve a lot of articles centered around the Mae Young Classic which you would have already seen start going up. I do have more posts like that coming up but for today I have something that I'm sure is going to go down a treat! Now if you have been following me for long enough you will know that I have always been a huge Bray Wyatt fan. An amazingly talented all round WWE superstar Bray has proven to the fans and the company that he is a true star and someone who truly does deserve to be a leading face in the future of the WWE. However, the company have failed to showcase him as that serious main event star. He has competed in phenomenal matches against the likes of Daniel Bryan and the Shield, been apart of some amazing feuds and storyline's against the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton and showed of his incredible mic work a number of standout promos and segments. Now, despite his amazing performance both in the ring and on the mic the WWE have failed to give him the true push he deserves. His win/loss track record is terrible and he is yet to walk out of a feud with the winner and looking like a true star. Why the WWE have not given him what he deserved I have no idea but it's such a shame they've failed him so much so many times. In today's blog post I'm going to be taking a look at how the company can turn things around and put Wyatt back on track. As always, you can have your say and let me know what you think of today's topic and what you believe the WWE could do to save Bray Wyatt by leaving a comment bellow or by dropping me a tweet over at @TezangiVictoria.

Reunite the Wyatt Family

Okay, so I think it's pretty safe to assume that one of the biggest reasons why things have been so up and down for Bray over recent years is his relationship with the Wyatt Family. The trio were a perfect fit and a brilliant idea. If you go back and take a look at their earlier work together it's bloody amazing. I remember always being totally entertained an hooked by their work and the matches an storyline's they were being given were massively enjoyable. The biggest mistake the WWE made was splitting the Wyatt family up far too early. I've commented on this a number of times before and I have a feeling that it will remain a big talking point here on my blog for a while It's a topic that I have brought up a number of times because of its relevance in other posts. This honestly is just another one. The fact of the matter is the split happened far too soon and it was done completely wrong. None of the members (and thats not including Braun Strowman) have been able to go on and achieve the success they truly deserve. Of course Wyatt himself had a WWE championship reign but we all know that could have been a lot lot stronger. Harper and Rowan have been up to next to nothing over on Smackdown LIVE and while they both have serious potential and could so easily go onto becoming huge stars in the WWE the company have not once set them off in the right direction an kept the momentum building. Looking towards the future I really do believe that the best move for Bray is to reunite him with Harper and Rowan. The pair would be a big loss to Smackdown LIVE considering that with the right booking they could become big names and a huge part of the roster however they both work far better when aligned with Bray and their booking as a team is stronger. They bring depth and interest to Wyatt's character and there has always been so much room for development. The potential storyline's are endless and there's work we could see from these three that could be highlights of this generation if done right. Reuniting them will not be easy and with the odd reuniting moments we have had in the past it makes the challenge even more difficult however, not impossible. These guys have amazing chemistry and with the right story the WWE can make this make sense and get it right.

Have him beat Jeff Hardy

I'm writing this blog post on the thirty first of August (yeah, I pre post a lot) and on the most recent episode of Monday night RAW Jeff Hardy won an over the top battle royal to become the brand new number one contender to the Intercontinental championship facing the Miz this week. Now, regardless of the end result of that match I really want to see Jeff Hardy as the Intercontinental champion at some point soon. I think he could bring a lot to the title just as much as the Miz has and change things up there opening a whole new door full of opportunities for superstars and the title. Bray Wyatt is a key figure in this whole story. I do want to write a whole post on this because it's a pretty long booking idea I have in mind. Of course this will lead to a feud between Bray Wyatt and broken Matt Hardy. With the Hardy's focusing more so on their singles careers (maybe even with Matt heading over to Smackdown LIVE eventually) there have been a lot of potential storyline's for them both in mind an Bray Wyatt is someone I believe would strongly benefit from feuding with these guys. Their work together could be magic whether it be in promos and segments or in the ring the storyline's with both superstars would be iconic! Things in my fantasy booking world would kick start with Jeff Hardy and the IC title. Over the next month to two months we will see Jeff feud with the Miz eventually taking the title off the Miz and later towards the end of the year we see feud between Wyatt and Jeff kick start. Cutting things down short eventually Wyatt defeats Jeff for the title after he refuses help from his brother and refuses to go a little broken. Injuring Jeff and taking him out of action (kayfabe obviously) Matt steps in to do what his brother couldn't, defeat Bray Wyatt. There are options here of course; Bray could go one on one with Matt at Wrestlemania for the IC title or Jeff could eventually turn broken, Reby could join in and we could get the Wyatt family vs the Broken Hardys. I don't want to see Jeff miss out on Mania and of course there will be something for him even if another option is having Wyatt vs Jeff vs Matt. Regardless the Hardy's open new doors full of opportunities for Bray and I really do believe they could be a key factor in saving Bray Wyatt and pushing him to the level he deserves to be at in his WWE career.

Redemption Storyline

Next up is one of the more obvious picks but its one we need to touch on, a redemption storyline. Bray Wyatt has throughout his WWE career been apart of some impressive matches against a number of different superstars and he continues to do so however his poor track record when it comes to picking up victories and his repetitive storylines fans have lost interest and I know I certainly struggle to get into his work now days. What he needs is a road of redemption. He needs to be put back on track, gain momentum and start fresh. The WWE need to stop throwing him into this big crazy storyline's and start small. Give him a story for himself not a story against another big name. Have him focus on trying to prove himself. He's out in the middle of the ring talking about how needs to prove himself, how he has been failing himself and more importantly failing and disappointing Sister Abigail. Every other week his in squash matches against local competitors and then jobbers on the roster leading up to bigger talents. A name from Wyatt's history could pop up and challenge Wyatt on his road to redemption. Taunt him about the evil things he has done in the past and that he can't and won't change, that he's grown weak which leads to a new feud where actually he walks away with the win. This can be a little them we see, across the space of 8 to twelve months Wyatt gains momentum, losing less and picking up victories against those that he was unable to do so in the past and eventually work his way up to chasing after gold against one of his toughest challenge he's faced whether that be Cena or Roman Reigns but either way finally Wyatt proves himself, takes the win and takes home new gold.

Keep away from TV for a while

One of the things I have considered plenty of times over the past year or so when talking about how to improve Bray Wyatt and his WWE career is honestly removing him from TV for a while. Okay, so this may sound a little crazy and a touch stupid, after all we're suggesting we remove someone who desperately needs to build momentum away from TV. However, in this case it appears to be the next best move and honestly one of the only things the WWE have left to try. The thing with Bray Wyatt is for the past five years or so we have seen him go over the same storyline only with different superstars and his fate has remained the same. We get at least one really good match which to be honest now we don't even realize because of the lack of interest, he cuts a bunch of impressive promos and despite keeping a touch of entertainment and working his hardest he comes out the loser and falls further down the roster as a result. Now, the WWE have managed to somehow keep him feel like a big deal. Bray naturally feels like big star thanks to the good work we have seen from him in the past. We know that when Bray is good he's really good. They've had him step in the ring with some of the best names in the WWE including John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, an even the Undertaker and every single time he has managed to have at least one standout moment and has proven that he really is a phenomenal talent but the fact of the matter is we're all bored. He kick starts a new feud and we expect the same thing and thats exactly what we get an so we've reached the point where removing him from TV for a while may just be the best bet. We need to miss him after all absence does make the heart grow fonder and they don't really have anything to loose at this point. It doesn't stop him appearing in dark matches and live events but keeping him away from TV and start to build anew story could have be one of the main things that save him. While he's away they can continue building up new talent and when he does back it's a fresh start, a big surprise and exciting time. When he comes back all comes down to the right time. If thats the Royal Rumble and he wins then thats it but personally I want to take a look at new ideas. Take a superstar at random, a big name, someone we all enjoy watching and have him targeted. These moves don't have to be stereotypically "Bray Wyatt is targeting you!" style but instead new little things. Notes backstage, words on the titron, a random women with a mask skipping around the ring (I can already see the AJ Lee return rumors that would be happening), every week throw off the fans and the superstar and wait for that perfect reveal time. But who is the perfect man for the job? Who should become Wyatt's return victim? Aliester Black springs to mind first without a shadow of a doubt. It's a dream feud that writes itself and in fact I have another post coming up where I talk about how I would book this feud so keep an eye out for that. Matt Hardy is another name to kick start his broken gimmick properly in the WWE and of course Triple H to start a new baby-face run for Wyatt.

Introduce a Female Alliance

Again, if you have been following me for long enough here on my blog and over on social media you would have seen me write about Sister Abigail on several different occasions. A character in Wyatt's story throughout his WWE career he has referenced Abigail what feels like a thousand times already and why the WWE have not found an angle to introduce her is beyond me. Earlier in the year I wrote a blog post where I spoke about how I would book the debut of Sister Abigail and of course I will link that bellow and since then I have only come up with even more ideas on how to do so. Yes,
technically she is dead but there are so many ways the could introduce a sister Abigail character and create a female alliance for Bray Wyatt. Whether it be cryptic messages only or cryptic messages that lead to her reveal it works. They could have a redemption storyline which I have already touched on which shows Wyatt look to prove himself to sister Abigail after years of disappointing her. We could see a female superstar manipulate Wyatt into believing she is Abigail or something along those lines. Regardless of how it is done introducing a female alliance for Bray would be perfect.  It would allow him to have something new to work on that will finally have fans interested and excited once again. It opens so many doors for different storyline's and feuds and a whole new direction for Wyatt's character that really would be so fun and interesting to watch. Who takes on the role? Honestly there are so many option. I've always felt Santana Garrett is a good fit but the Mae Young classic has introduce so many new women that could easily sign with the company and take on the role but NXT is full of amazing female talent and the opportunity to have such a big role is perfect for one of those women. I also love the idea of The Wyatt family with a female superstar added to the mix taking on Sanity in the future, ah that would be a dream!

I had so much fun writing this blog post! I've always been such a huge fan of Bray Wyatt and I really really do believe he deserves so much better and hopefully the WWE find a way to save him and put him back on top. I do have a couple more expect those to blog post ideas that center around Bray and you can expect those to go up in within the next month. For now you can have your say and let me know what you think of today's topic and what you believe the WWE could do to save Bray Wyatt by leaving a comment bellow or by dropping me a tweet over at @TezangiVictoria.
