Dream Main Roster Opponents For: Kairi Sane

So, we have reached yet another Friday. The end of the week, the start of the weekend, and of course, another look at some dream matches over in the WWE and world of pro wrestling. Today, we are going to be looking at the current NXT Women’s Champion and the firster ever WWE Mae Young Classic winner, Kairi Sane. The Japanese sensation has been a part of some memorable bouts since her debut but there is no denying there is an array of dream matches involving Kairi and several main roster talents and so let’s dive into some of the dream bouts!

Vs Sasha Banks

The number one match on this list for me personally is without a shadow of a doubt Sasha Banks vs Kairi Sane. Since the news of signing with the WWE I have been excited about the prospect of seeing these two women collide for their styles are sure to compliment each other! Following her performance in the first-ever MYC, Sane has been off to a good start making history, winning over the NXT Universe, working a standout match against Shayna Baszler and winning the NXT Women’s Championship. Sasha Banks, on the other hand, has had a year full of ups and downs and it's evident she is need of a big-time matchup and the thought of a heel Banks taking on the Pirate Princess is one that is super exciting. Similar in height and possessing similarities in their skill set thanks to intensity, fast paces action, excellent wrestling ability and experience, the two are both exciting performers capable of bringing out the very best in each other in the ring.

Vs Becky Lynch

Whether it be in the role of a heel or a babyface, Becky Lynch makes for an exciting opponent for Kairi Sane. Despite being amazingly talented, Lynch has only been apart of a handful of standout singles matches not getting the ring time she deserves or the right opponent to bring out the best in her, however, if the Pirate Princess does indeed arrive on the Smackdown LIVE roster then we could see something very special. Not only would Sane vs Lynch make for an excellent title bout and storyline Lynch will be able to introduce the NXT star to the main roster crowds perfectly and there’s no better way to have a spotlight shine heavily on you within the Smackdown LIVE women’s division than stepping in the ring with Lynch. I must also include the fact I believe this singles match up could, in fact, be one of if not the singles match of Becky’s career.

Vs Alexa Bliss

Okay, so this one is more so for the storyline potential rather than the belief this could be a standout match of the year but none the less, Alexa Bliss is a name I had to include in today’s blog post. One of the best heels in the WWE Women’s division today as well as a growing in-ring performer who with so much character and love from the WWE Universe could create an interesting and entertaining storyline with the up and comer that is Kairi Sane. Taking on her typical role of the bully like, cocky, arrogant heel not welcoming the newbie to the roster is a basic storyline that could work perfectly as a way to introduce Kairi to the main roster as a new top talent babyface but also an excellent way to showcase just dominant she is as an in-ring performer and again bring out the best in Alexa both as a character and in the ring.

Vs Charlotte Flair

While there is a major difference in size with Charlotte Flair towering over the young Kairi Sane there is no denying the talent both these women possess and the potential they must completely tear down the house in an epic one on one contest. Booked correctly, these two women could main event any up and coming show in the future and while the storyline may not be as strong as some of the others in this list the in-ring work so easily could be something special. Flair’s dominance, skill, and athleticism against Kairi’s experience, talent, hard hits, and wrestling ability make for a must-see contest that could so easily be the highlights of the careers of both these women.

Vs Ronda Rousey

The standout matches of Kairi’s WWE career so far have been against Shayna Baszler showing she can work standout wrestling matches against women of all different in-ring styles and with that in mind I have to say that Kairi vs Ronda Rousey is a match I know I for one am massively interested in. While it may not be the match to make everyone’s list, Kairi makes for a very interesting underdog opponent for the dominant champion. Putting Rousey in the role of a heel, Kairi with her smaller frame and innocent persona plays the perfect role of the underdog babyface surprising fans with her in-ring capabilities and possibly dethroning the dominant champ that is the badest woman on the planet.

And that is my list! Despite being ill while I wrote this I had so much fun looking at a superstar I personally believe doesn’t get the credit she truly deserves. The future for Kairi Sane has an array of excellent matches waiting and I cannot wait to see what the next couple of years hold for the first ever MYC Winner.
