Why Lacey Evans is One to Watch

Lacey Evans is one of the biggest and brightest stars looking to make an impact on the main roster. It was revealed recently that Evans was amongst several other NXT stars set to arrive on either RAW or Smackdown LIVE at any moment and over the past few weeks, fans have been seeing more and more of Miss Evans. In today’s blog post we are going to be focusing on the woman we are yet to see much more of and exactly why she is someone to keep your eyes on in the coming months!

Her Character Work

The thing I love the most about Lacey Evans is her character work. While she is an incredible athlete as we will talk about more later, her ability to work a unique and controversial character has been fantastic! It’s extremely refreshing to see a female superstar not given the crazy girl gimmick and instead, her “Lady” image has created a very strong heel persona that stands out from the bunch. Promos are on point, segments are strong, and during every single contest she competes in, she remains in character completely. Evans has mastered her character perfectly in a short space of time and watching that grow and develop even more during her time on the main roster will be very entertaining and special!

The Dream Match on Smackdown LIVE – Charlotte Flair

I’m going to be looking at two dream opponents for Lacey Evans in today’s blog post, one for if she is to head over to Smackdown LIVE and one for if she is placed on Monday night RAW. First up we are going to be looking at the blue brand which just happens to be roster I believe she should be drafted to. At the Royal Rumble PPV in-ring collisions with Charlotte Flair made everyone see just how similar the pair are. From their long blonde hair, tall frame, body shape, and athletic ability these two share an array of similarities and it's clear if they were to share the ring in a lengthy match up the two could deliver something truly amazing. Fans are yet to see the best of Lacey Evans but about against the Queen could show the world why she is champion material.

The Best is Yet to Come

Unlike many previous NXT call ups, fans haven’t seen all too much of Lacey Evans. Over the past six months or so the WWE has booked her more frequently and in longer competition. We have been able to see far more of her character enough matches to know she is very athletic and promising a great deal for the future of the women’s division but there is also no denying that we haven’t even scratched the surface! Evans is a young, up and coming talent with the clear potential to create some amazing matches against an array of superstars and her character opens doors for some very exciting storyline’s and angles.

The Dream Match – Natalya

We have already touched on who I would love to see Lacey collide with over on the Smackdown LIVE roster but looking at Monday night RAW and its Natalya who has taken the top spot in terms of dream opponents. The likes of Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks, of course, make the list but after their collision inside the Royal Rumble match recently it’s clear Nattie could be the woman to create a true star out of Evans. Sure, to bring out the best in Lacey and show a different side of her move set we could really see Lacey go from being a promising talent to one of the most talked about stars of the women’s division today if she is placed in a lengthy match against a veteran like Natalya.

A Fast Learner and Favourite

Despite being so impressive in the ring and on the mic, Lacey Evans hasn’t been wrestling for very long at all yet she has grasped the world of pro wrestling so effortlessly and so strongly. In a short space of time, Lacey has gone from a total rookie to one of the most promising stars in the women’s division if in less than five years Evans can make such a clear transition and adapt so well then just imagine what the next five years will hold! From day one we have seen her journey from her tryouts to becoming a main roster star and it has always been clear the WWE is very high on her. A fast learner and a favourite amongst the WWE officials means a very bright future awaits Miss Lacey Evans.

And those are just some the reasons why I believe Lacey Evans is one to watch! I know this was a slightly smaller post, but I did have plenty of fun writing this!
