Five Superstars Who MUST Switch Brands in April

Last week the WWE broke the news that the next superstar shake-up will be taking place during the fifteenth and the sixteenth of April following Wrestlemania. Now, of course, the news of a superstar shake-up has created a huge buzz and great conversation amongst fans. It has been evident for a while now that several superstars are in need of a switch of brands and in today’s blog post we are going to be looking at just some of those names discussing why they need the move the most and what a change in brands can really do for them and the shows moving forward!

Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been working as part of the blue brand since the brand split made a return a few years back and it’s evident he more than anyone on the show needs a change. I’ve mentioned before that I have been struggling to have a genuine interest in Orton’s work for a while now and with a batch of new faces and challengers awaiting the viper over on Monday nights, it's clear he will benefit massively from the move. RAW could do with a few more added veterans and older faces with many up and comers sure to benefit from his arrival.

Ember Moon

The past year has been an interesting one for the former NXT Women’s champion, Ember Moon. Following Wrestlemania Moon made the transition from the black and yellow brand to Monday night RAW and despite being a fan favourite the WWE are yet to give her the push she truly deserves. Huge pops, awesome spots, and a clear desire from fans to see more of her haven’t been enough for the WWE to give Ember more time in the ring and worthy push especially with the likes of Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax taking up so much of the spotlight. Moving over to Smackdown LIVE will enable Moon to get a fresh start, something she really needs. With the likes of Naomi, Asuka, and Charlotte Flair on the roster for Tuesday nights it’s evident an array of awesome dream matches await Moon and crowd reactions have shown that another collision with Asuka is much desired! Championship cold also appears far more likely on Smackdown LIVE for Moon.

AJ Styles

If I don’t get AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins in a main event at some point this year, I may just lose my mind. The topic regarding AJ Styles and his WWE future at the moment appears to be an interesting and rather touchy subject but there is no denying the simple fact that there is a lot still waiting for him in the company. Again, just like Orton, Styles has been a part of Smackdown LIVE since the get-go and has been a major draw for the blue brand, but a change is massively needed. Styles at this point has almost done all he can do there and the move to Monday night RAW is much needed. Sure, to change ratings for the show, Styles has an array of fresh new storyline’s awaiting him including opponents such as Rollins, Lashley, McIntyre and more all of which make for huge must see!

Braun Strowman

Honestly, I don’t believe there is anyone in the WWE right now more in need of a change than Braun Strowman. There is no one I want to see move brands more than the monster among men this coming April. Despite huge popularity, consistency, and opportunities the WWE have failed to do the one thing they really needed to do, put the Universal championship on Strowman. Now we have reached the new year and we see Braun in a very difficult position in where if he doesn’t move brands things could go downhill massively! Not only are Smackdown LIVE in need of a monster star like Strowman (where he is sure to stand out amongst the roster) but the batch of new opponents such as Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio, and Jeff Hardy amongst many make for very exciting collisions that could change Strowman’s career around greatly not to mention the likely hood of him becoming WWE Champion.

Finn Balor

And finally, we, of course, must mention Finn Balor. Now, Balor has actually had a very strong start to the year. He has been a part of some great matches and was the first to go one on one with the beast on PPV in twenty nineteen but it's clear he is nowhere near where he should be. Finn has been the man fans have wanted to see make the switch from one brand to another for a very long time now and this is the moment we have all been waiting for. From an alliance forming again with Anderson and Gallows to dream matches finally being able to take place against names such as Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, Mustafa Ali, and Andrade Cien Almas amongst so many. Balor is having a good start to the new year, but nothing will change things around more for him and potentially see him become one of the faces of the company than the move to Smackdown LIVE. It’s here on the blue brand fans may finally see the Finn Balor they have been waiting for.

And those are just five of many names I believe must switch brands later this year! I do have other stars I would love to talk about so if you would be interested in a part two do let me know!
