RAW Predictions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. We are now just under four weeks away from Wrestlemania thirty one, I have no idea where the time goes! There's still so much to do! Anyway, with not much time left before the big one, every episode of RAW and Smackdown from this point onwards is an important one. The WWE must put all their focus into every single match on the card and build up the feuds and Storyline's in time for the show. That includes putting extra attention into every division and title. So far there has been three matches announced; we have the main event witch will see Brock Lesnar defend the WWE World Heavyweight championship against the two thousand and fifteen Royal Rumble winner, Roman Reigns. We also have Triple H VS Sting and finally, last week on Smackdown it was announced that Bad News Barrett will defend he's Intercontinental championship in a ladder match against several opponents. So to be fair the show is shaping up to be a great one. Tonight on RAW we should see other possible Mania matches either announced or pushed more, mainly the Orton/Rollins match up and Rusev VS John Cena. Also, after the WWE universe blew up twitter for four straight days with the hash tag #GiveDivasAChance, tonight we will see if the WWE are listening to the fans and make some kind of change. And finally, will we see the returns of AJ Lee and Sheamus? Some quick reminders; Wrestlemania season is up and alive on my blog, the most recent post in the series will be linked bellow. More information on my Wrestlemania Q&A will be up later this week and the links to any recent posts including last weeks RAW Review and Reactions will be bellow. Lastly, you can let me know what YOUR predictions for tonight's show are by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

It was just over a week ago that the WWE Universe saw the return of the viper, Randy Orton. After making he's first RAW appearance in four months, Orton left the crowd and everyone a home on their feet, believing it was finally time he got some payback and gave the Authority a taste of their own medicine. At the start of the show we saw a very angry viper with only one thing on he's mind; getting he's hands on Mr Money in the bank, Seth Rollins. However, after a backstage "business meeting" Orton was back on team Authority and main evented the show with Rollins to take on Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. It was after the match that Randy took he's anger out on J&J Security but didn't touch Rollins. This left me and many other fans pretty disappointed to say the least. I honestly was expecting him to turn on him straight after the match. Tonight, it's really important that Randy get's he's full face turn and get's he's hands finally on Rollins. We've all been waiting for this for a long long time now and I really do think that the longer they push it back the less effective it will be. If the plan really is to have Orton VS Rollins at Mania than that match needs to come to life this week. With Wrestlemania just four weeks away, it gives enough time for the feud to get a strong build up, the foundation is already there and now it's just about really, officially kick starting it. Realistically, will it actually happen tonight? Will we see Orton turn on Seth? I don't think so. I have an idea that the WWE will push it back one more week. Orton still has a lot of momentum building to do and they seem to have Rollins busy with this whole Jon Stewart thing. I do think it needs to happen tonight but whether not it will happen, we will just have to wait and see. Booking for Randy will be interesting tonight. We will most certainly see him begin to loose he's temper more and the tensions between him and the Authority will rise. He may be forced to team with a member of the Authority in yet another tag team match witch to be honest will probably send me to sleep. Personally, I think they would be better putting him in a singles match, preferably with someone like Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler or even Dean Ambrose. All superstars busy and seem to have something solid going into Wrestlemania, but all superstars who need an extra push and need a strong match on their back and they have all had great matches with Orton in the past.

While we are talking about Rollins, for the past couple of weeks the WWE have been doing some weird angle with Rollins and Jon Stewart witch all started with Mr Money in the bank claiming he could host Jon's show better than him or something along those lines. Anyway, I have expressed on twitter and on my blog enough about how much I hate this idea. It's just a bad move. It's not entertaining, it doesn't make good TV, it's boring and simply wasting time. Why they have this going on in Wrestlemania season when there is more important things to be focusing on, I don't know. Tonight, Stewart is expected to make an appearance and  have some kind of challenge with Rollins. You can tell in this blog post I'm the least bit excited about this and I think I'll use this section of the show to make a drink or use the bathroom.

#GiveDivasAChance
Last week the WWE universe made it clear they had had enough and used the previous hash tag of the night to support the WWE Divas divsion and #GiveDivasAChance trended for four days straight. Throughout the trend, all the fans gathered together to highlight the talent in the divas division and how underused and badly treated they are. It all started when Paige and Emma had a tag team match with the Bella's and the match only lasted thirty seconds. I knew everyone was angry but I never knew how much attention it would get and just how many people would support the movement. Throughout the week the trend has been active all over the world and TNA Knockout Velvet Sky even got involved tweeting the following " #GiveDivasAChance is trending. I think the Wrestling world has spoken, & it's nice to see so many people getting behind the ladies." and she could not have been more right in her words. She would later in the week send out another tweet about the hash tag showing her support. A couple of days into the movement and the attention grew even more when WWE showed they were aware of the trend. Paige would speak out in an interview claiming that given the right time the girls could outshine the guys, she would also instagram a picture insinuating that she is supporting the trend. AJ Lee would also get in the action tweeting out about how under paid the divas get despite their hard work, great merchandise sales and high rating segments. After sending the tweet directly to Stephanie McMahon, Steph would make a simple reply. Many believed that AJ's tweet was work and was setting up a feud between her and McMahon for Wrestlemania witch fans have been predicting and waiting for for a couple of years now. However, it would later get out that Stephanie was furious with AJ's tweet so everyone does seem to be 50/50 but either way it's getting attention. Vince McMahon would also acknowledge the tweets telling the WWE universe
"we hear you, keep watching". With a movement so big and with the fans so passionate I don't think the WWE have any other choice but to make some changes. Longer matches aint just what we are demanding, we want better storyline/feuds, more mic time, better segments, more merchandise, multiple feuds, more titles for the divsion and one thing that came up a lot, was to stop using the word "Diva" and instead use women. Tonight, will tell a thousand stories. We will see if the WWE are planning on making any changes or not, a longer match would show some improvements. When it comes to the divas championship, it does seem that they are still going with the Paige/Nikki storyline, but with Charlotte set to make her debut soon and a possible Brie face turn, things could begin to change in time for Wrestlemania. And will we finally see AJ Lee return and if so, what will she be doing?

Intercontinental Championship
One thing I have been loving over the past couple of weeks is the serious amount of attention being paid to the Intercontinental championship. Over the years the importance of the title has gone down hill and has gone from being on the biggest titles to hold in your career to something for the mid carders to have. However, over the past couple of weeks or so we have seen a massive change. Slowly, we are starting to have that feel back to it when guys like Bret Hart, Pat Patterson, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold and many many others held the title. For the past month, the current champ, Bad News Barrett has suffered loss after loss after loss. Superstars like Dolph Ziggler,Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan and even r-truth have managed to score solid wins over the champ. Last Friday on Smackdown most of the attention was on the title and trust me when I say I could not have been more happy. The addition of Bryan is such a good idea. He brings so much attention and importance back to the title and makes you feel that the championship really means something and is something the top superstars should chase. I'm gonna insert now what I wrote in my Smackdown Review and reactions about this post; "After what happened on Monday, it became clear the WWE had some huge plans for the IC title and Wrestlemania this year witch is great, fantastic even. I'm always talking about how important it is that the WWE bring back importance and prestige back to the IC and US championship. Now, adding Bryan to the picture is huge! Really huge! We now have four top stars in the IC title picture, Ambrose, Barrett, Ziggler and Bryan. This already makes the IC title a big deal and to be honest it makes it look more intresting the WWE Championship picture. However, as an Ambrose fan I worry. He's had a great year, yes, but he hasn't won a pay per view match in a very very long time. All these losses are really doing some serious damage and if he was to suffer yet another loss at Mania this time then it could be a serious problem and I really do think a Wrestlemania moment is what he needs. But then again I have another thought that a strong strong performance may be enough for him and kick starting a feud between Bryan and Ambrose after Mania turning Ambrose heel may just be a smart smart idea. So I'm very split but I thought this was an amazing start to the show, really strong and entertaining and it's really nice seeing so much attention on the championship and seeing top stars go after it, finally the WWE are listening to the fans and what we want. And of course Dean left with the title." It was also announced that Barrett will defend the title at Wrestlemania in a ladder match against several superstars. Tonight, they will all be looking to bag some momentum and singles matches for all of them may be on the card. Barrett is the man most needing of a win and an all round good night, including getting he's title back. I have to admit I'm most interested and entertained by this storyline at the moment so this is what I'm most looking forward to. How this push this storyline next will be really interesting.

Other things to watch out for tonight include, the current feud between The Usos and Naomi and the current tag team champions Cesaro and Tyson Kidd and Natalya. We have already seen some amazing matches in this storyline and a mixed tag team match may be on the card for tonight. Also, the storyline with Gold and Stardust witch has been going on for the past month. A match between the two at Wrestlemania is extremely possible. Roman Reigns will also continue building momentum as the biggest match of he's career slowly approaches. We will also see the feud between Cena and Rusev continue as their possible Mania match also slowly approaches. Sheamus' return is also possible tonight but I am really struggling to think about what they will put him in as he is set to come back as a major, main event heel.
