RAW Predictions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. We are now only two weeks away from Wrestlemania thirty one. I cannot believe how quickly the time has passed. It's crazy that we are just under two weeks away from the biggest pay per view of the year, it only feels like Yesterday that it was the end of Fastlane and we just kick started the big countdown. But for now it's that time of the week again as I give you my RAW Predictions for this week. With pretty much all the matches for the card officially announced, it's all about building up the feuds/Storyline's in time for mania and getting everyone ready for the event. There is still some space left for other matches including a tag team match (witch is likely to once again take place on the kick off show) and after last week's show, there is a possibility they could announce a one on one match up between Randy Orton and Mr Money in the bank Seth Rollins, I'll b talking more about that later on in the post. What we already have on the Wrestlemania thirty match card is; Sting VS Triple, the Andre the Giant battle Royal, John Cena VS Rusev, AJ Lee and Paige VS The Bella's, The intercontinental championship ladder match, and Bray Wyatt VS Th Undertaker. A lot did go down during last weeks show and to be fair it was actually a pretty decent set of three hours, hopefully tonight's show will live up to last weeks and to be honest it should be due to the fact that Wrestlemania is so close. Before we get into today's post I have some updates and reminders for you; I have already started my Wrestlemania predictions and Wrestlemania prediction week will kick start next Monday, so right about this time next week. I will be giving you reminders on my Wrestlemania Q&A over the next fourteen days or so with the link to the information post bellow. I will also link bellow any recent posts including my latest Wrestlemania Flashback post and this past weeks top five superstars of the week. Finally, you can let me know what your predictions are for tonight's show by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

Last week's episode of RAW was pretty much the Randy Orton show, witch by the way I have no problem with what so ever. He kick started the show and ended it with the whole point of it all showing Orton slowly but surely, finally turn on the Authority and most importantly, Seth Rollins. During the last five to ten minuets of the show, Orton quite literally gave Mr Money in the bank the beating of he's life. This week there is no doubt Rollins or Orton will kick off the show. Personally, I'm predicting that Seth opens the show alongside either J&J Security or the rest of the Authority and cut a little promo on what happened last week and then we are likely to hear from Stephanie McMahon. The main event will most probably involve Orton some how and Rollins, whether that be a tag team match or a Handicap match. I mentioned last week how much the main event's on RAW and Smackdown are really starting to frustrate me now. It's the same thing week after week after week and I'm really hopeing that after Wrestlemania we will start to see other superstars on the roster main event shows. Guys like Luke Harper, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler, and so so many more. I think we are likely to get Reigns in the main event once again. With most superstars either competing in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal or the Intercontinental championship ladder match, this week and next week's main event will most probably see the same faces compete. I'm predicting Orton and Reigns VS Rollins and a member of the Authority or another handicap match. It's also more than likely they will announce a Wrestlemania match up. The card does seem a little full but they will most certainly squeeze it in, considering these are two of the top stars in the company and the match has been building up for several months.

One of the top storyline's around at the moment is of course the big work with the Intercontinental championship. We now have the full line up ( I think) and know that Bad New's Barrett will defend he's IC championship in a ladder match at Wrestlemania in two weeks time against, R-Truth, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, Luke Harper, and Daniel Bran. I actually have my prediction post for this match done and ready to go up next Tuesday. You guy's all know that I have been loving this little build up and the match idea altogether. Everything has just came together really really well and everything makes sense. The build up has been extremely strong but most of it has taken place on Smackdown witch I do have a little problem with. It's no secret that Monday night RAW get's a good chunk of more viewers than Thursday night Smackdown and there has been so much going on on Smackdown in the build up to the match, in fact most of the action has taken place on Smackdown. That's not to say that we have seen nothing on RAW, because we have. We have had some great matches on RAW between the guys competing but what we need to see this week and next week is a lot more attention paid to all of these guys on Monday night RAW just before Wrestlemania comes around. I also think the fun and games need to calm down a little and it needs to have a more serious feel to it. We have some of the biggest names and best talent's competing in this match and it is a very barbaric match, it's just missing that more serious, extreme, feel to it. Some extra attention will go down well this week. Expected match is another tag team match. Maybe a re-match from Smackdown this past week or a couple of one on one matches. Personally, I'd like to see Ambrose and Bryan go at it but because they're both baby faces it does seem very unlikely. R-truth does need more momentum and needs a match up before the show. We could just see a couple of them compete against other superstars not in the match to give them some momentum and get another segment.

We then have Divas. As announced last week, we now know that at Wrestlemania we wont be getting a divas championship match and instead will see Nikki Bella and sister Brie take on the team of Paige and three time divas champion, AJ Lee.You all know that I'm not really a fan of this match. I still think the title should of been put on the line at the biggest event of the year and I think it's a little unfair that the girls don't get to compete for the only championship in the division at the grandest stage of them all. So far the build up to the match has been decent. Nothing has really stood out or got my attention or even made me in the slightest bit bothered/wanting to see the match. This week we need to see that change a little. Even though it's very likely, I don't want to see another little squash match to either put over AJ Lee or Paige. I think a segment from one of the girls would be a nice addition and really work. We have already heard more than enough from the Bella's, and AJ being one of the best speakers in the division, I think it's time she took the spotlight with the mic. As Paige and AJ took centre stage in the ring last week on the main shows, we are more likely to see a Bella in action tonight. Even though there is only one divas match on the Mania card, Give divas a chance is still a thing it would be nice if they tried and squeezed in another divas match. There are plenty of girls on the roster who could do with some extra wrestling time. Last week on Main Event Naomi did get a win over the divas champion so we may get a championship match tonight. To be honest, I do think the titles could change hands. If Paige or AJ Lee were to cost Nikki the match it add so much more to their Wrestlemania match up but I doubt it will happen. It would however be nice to see Naomi hold the title, she more than deserves it and a feud between her and Natalya would really work and help when Charlotte comes up to the main roster if Naomi was to drop the title to Nattie eventually.

We have seen some interesting stuff go down with the tag division over the past week, with pretty much every tag team getting some kind of win and momentum gain during last weeks RAW and Smackdown. By the looks of things, we are going to be getting another fatal four way tag team match for the titles at Wrestlemania, most probably on the pre show/kick off show, witch is exactly what we got last year. I really really really don't wanna see this. There has been no build up what so ever and since Fastlane the WWE have been focusing more on the feud between The Usos and current champs Cesaro and Tyson Kidd, with the additions of Naomi and Natalya. In my opinion I think they should of kept it that and it would of  really worked. If I got to choose, I would of had a mixed persons tag team match for the titles, with Naomi and The Usos taking on Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and Natalya. The build up and tensions were already there and it was a huge hit with the fans. Trust me, if you can get me of all people interest in an Usos match, your doing something right. Also, if they did go ahead with this match they could of had Nattie loose the match and the titles for Kidd and Cesaro setting up a feud between between Kidd and Cesaro in time for the next pay per view. In my head, that's a dream match. The reality however, is a fatal four way tag team match or a tag team turmoil. Whatever the plan, it is sure to be announced this week either on RAW tonight or Thursday on Smackdown. Other tag teams like the Prime time players and the Ascension still need to get into the mix and the Lucha Dragons are yet to debut on RAW. Will that happen tonight?

Last week saw the Undertaker make he's presence known. Now he may not have physically been in the arena but he did leave a message for Bray Wyatt who had spent the night mocking Taker and demanding he come and find him. The message itself was delivered in true Undertaker style and we do now know that the two will face off at Mania. I'll be honest. Out of all the matches on the card this is the one I'm most looking forward, yes, even a little more than Sting VS Triple H. I don't really have a problem with Taker not making an appearance before Wrestlemania. I think it actually really works and makes a lot of sense. I however, think Bray Wyatt needs to squeeze in a match or two, just to gain some momentum and remind everyone what he is really capable of doing in the ring. It would be nice to see him in action this week even if it is just a little squash match. He more than likely cut a promo on what happened last week.

Time to talk about Returns; Bo Dallas has been working dark matches and live shows over the past couple of weeks but is yet to return on RAW or Samckdown. In my opinion I don't think he will be back until either Wrestlemania for the Andre the giant battle royal or the night after Wrestlemania to put over a possible debut from the likes of either Sami Zayn or Adrian Neville. We then only have one other man left, Sheamus. For the past couple of months now the WWE have been showing us little video packages of Sheamus and posting articles about him on WWE.com, promoting he's in ring return, but we are yet to see the former Royal Rumble winner return. There has been rumour after rumour about what Sheamus will be doing upon he's return and who he will be feuding with. There are however, two things that are almost certain; he will be back as a heel and he will be back at the
top spot.It now seems unlikely he will be back before Wrestlemania and we will see him return the night after Wrestlemania.

Other things to take on before tonight's show is the fallout to what happened last week between John Cena and Rusev or should I say Rusev and Lana, after Lana gave Cena what he wanted. A match at
Wrestlemania between Rusev. I do actually think the WWE have a good root to go down here. They could easily have Rusev debut a new attitude of wanting to do things on he's own and prove that he doesn't need Lana to help him win a match. Then at Wrestlemania they could have him loose after good match and altogether it works and makes sense. Lana is set to take some time off to film a movie and she missed last weeks Smackdown and the house shows of the weekend. The winner of this years Andre the giant battle royal may start to become a little clearer this week as more names are likely to pop up. Sing is rumoured to be making an appearance on tonight's raw witch I'm of course all down or. Last week Brad Maddox returned to action to face Zack Ryder during a live show, will he make a return to Monday night raw tonight.
