Wrestlemania Flashback 14-16

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. Now, as you know it is now Wrestlemania season on my blog. Witch means from now right up to Wrestlemania thirty one my blog will be taken over by all things Wrestlemania, from top fives, to matches best for the thirty one card leading right up to the predictions on the final week. Today's post is the first in a complete series, Wrestlemania flashback. This will be a regular post going up every week leading up to the final prediction week. What I will be doing is going back to every single Wrestlemania and giving all the facts from that time. I will list every match that was on the card of that year and who won, the venue, how many people where in attendance and other little facts surrounding the Wrestlemania of  that year. There is special post for Mania one witch is why it is not featured in this post and we are starting at fourteen to sixteen. Date: March 29, 1998
Venue: FleetCenter  - Boston, MA
Attendance: 19,028

Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Shawn Michaels

Lightweight Championship:
Taka Michinoku defeated Aguila

Intercontinental Championship:
The Rock defeated Shamrock by DQ

Dumpster Match for the World Tag Team Championship:
Cactus Jake and Chainsaw Charlie defeated New Age Outlaws

European Championship:
Triple H defeated Owen Hart

This was the year of two of the biggest current stars at the time to take centre stage as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels headlined the biggest pay per view of the year.

The rivalry between WWE greats, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, has gone down in history to be one of the best in the history of the company. On three separate occasions, the iconic superstars main-evented the biggest night of the year, with Austin taking two of the three encounters. Wrestlemania fifteen marked their first meeting on the grandest stage. On this night, Austin defeated the Rock to reclaim the WWE Championship.

European Championship:
Chris Jericho defeated Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle

Other Matches:
Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan defeated the Godfather and D-Lo Brown
Terri defeated The Kat
Too Cool and Chyna defeated The Radicalz
Kane and Rikishi defeated Road Dogg and X-Pac

The match between Terri and The Kat marks the only time in Wrestlemania history where there was only one 1-1 match.
