RAW Predictions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. We done it guys! We have finally reached Wrestlemania week and we are only six days away from what is the biggest show of the year. The past month has gone by so quickly and I think the reason why I can't believe it's Wrestlemania week already is because of how weak the build up has been. I think when it comes to Wrestlemania we expect the best of the best and while I think this is one of the strongest Mania cards we have had in recent years, the build up has just been terrible (as pointed out by a friend). The problem is, it just hasn't lived up to the expectation and the blame has to all fall on creative. But let's put that aside and focus on tonight show witch of course is the go home show. The go home show for Wrestlemania has a lot of expectations also. It's the most important RAW of the year (don't confuse that with the best RAW of the year witch is of course the night after Mania). It's the last live show before the big one witch means the final chance to push all the matches, feuds, and storyline's  before Sunday. It's the time to add in anything that has been missing in the build up and get everyone ready for the biggest show of the year. But with such a poor build up will tonight's show be enough to get everyone excited and ready for Wrestlemania? Well, tonight we can expect to see not one but two special guest appearances, the first face to face confrontation between the WWE World Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and the number one contender Roman Reigns, and much much more. With so much set for tonight's show, there is a lot to get through in today's blog post but before we get started I have a thew little reminders for you; First up is Wrestlemania Predictions. You would of seen today that my first Wrestlemania prediction post went up earlier, witch was looking at the divas match for the show. I will of course link that blog post bellow along with any other recent posts. I will also link bellow the information blog post on my Wrestlemania Q&A. Remember that this week there will once again be no NXT or Smackdown Review and reactions post but everything will go back to normal next week. Finally, you can let me know what your predictions for tonight's show and Wrestlemania are by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

So we have finally reached the go home show for this year's Wrestlemania and the countdown really has started with only six days to go. Tonight, the most important RAW of the year will take place in Los Angeles' staple center as the final touches are added to the Wrestlemania thirty one card and with a poor build up over the past couple of months, the WWE are under a lot pressure tonight to make sure the WWE universe are excited for the biggest event of the year. Last week it was announced on RAW that for the go home show both Snoop Dog and Bill Simmons will be making a guest appearance on tonight's show. Snoop Dog will be the official guest star to promote he's latest album "Bush" witch will be released on the 12th of May. Simmons will be joining Booker T, Michael Cole, and JBL as a guest commentator. You guy's all know how much I really don't like Celerity guests on RAW. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it works and they manage to find great guests that are actually pro wrestling fans, guests like Jon Stewart but most of the time we get terrible rap artists like Wiz Khalifa performing god awful "songs" from there latest god awful albums. In my opinion I don't think Wrestlemania weeks is the right week to have special celebrity guests on RAW. Tonight's show should just be focusing one hundred percent on Wrestlemania and making sure that everything is more than ready for Mania. Cutting out two minuets and giving it to a guest star is risky especially when the build up has been weak as it is.

Another thing we can expect tonight and that is actually the right thing for Wrestlemania week is the first ever face to face confrontation between the WWE World Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and he's Wrestlemania opponent, Roman Reigns. It's no secret that a lot of people are disappointed with this years Mania main event to say the least, but there is one thing that not even I, one of the biggest critics of this match, that I have actually enjoyed this build up much more than I expected. I think Paul Heyman played a vital role in this. He's almost weekly promos, have been the driving force in the build up to this years Wrestlemania main event. He's done an outstanding job not just pushing Brock Lesnar and making him sound great, but he has done the exact same thing for Roman Reigns. He's pointed out all the things that have defined he's career and made him the man deemed as the next big thing. I honestly never ever thought I would like this build at all and I will be honest I'm still not as excited as I usually am for a Wrestlemania main event, nowhere near, but I'm looking forward to it much more than I was a couple of months back. Last week we saw a pretty bad ass interview from Brock Lesnar. I've actually watched this a little more than normal. Now, we haven't seen Lesnar in action for over a month and he's hardly appeared on RAW but he has still managed to keep himself the centre of attention and keep everyone on edge about he's next move. He's remained a hot topic in IWC and has been showed off to the best ability by he's advocate, the one and only Paul Heyman. As I said, Lesnar interview/promo last week was very important and will play a huge role in the championship match. Tonight, the two superstars will most certainly make their first collision. The WWE Creative team have done a good job in taking the critics words and putting them into the storyline. The angle of "I can. I will" and the whole point of it being Roman proving people wrong and doing what everyone say's he cant has really turnt a lot of public opinion and the interest in the match in the process has seriously grown. There is however one thing missing and it that collision. There has also been a lot of talk about Lesnars current contract and future with the WWE and it's possible that could be address in tonight's show, it was briefly touched on last week and the week before from both Heyman and Lesnar. A promo discussing Lesnars future with the WWE is likely to happen tonight and interruption from will follow leaving the two brawling. It would be nice if the show ended like that. At the end of the day this is the main event of Wrestlemania, putting these guys in the main event picture tonight is the best move to make. It's possible we could a segment filmed in the week with Roman Reigns and he'family.

Last week we also saw Seth Rollins accept Randy Orton's challenge for a Wrestlemania match up and my prediction post for that match will go up on Wednesday. I have mentioned a couple of times over the past thew weeks that this is my favourite feud at the moment. It's one that has been in the making for months now and is really living up to the hype and expectations. For the past couple of weeks we have seen Orton on top and dominate the feud and with Wrestlemania on six days away, Rollins will be in search tonight for some momentum before going into one of the biggest nights of he's career to date. I'm predicting and would like to see Rollins in a simple one on one match. Something that will give him the momentum he needs and set him on the right track heading into Wrestlemania. I think both Orton and Rollins will be put centre of attention tonight and we will see a heck of a lot of time and effort go into them and their feud. Unlike last week and the week before that, I doubt they will be as in the spotlight mainly because tonight's show will lean more so on the side of Reigns and Lesnar but these guys will get a good amount of time. So I'm predicting basic one on one matches for both superstars and a brawl at some point. No matter what, I do think Rollins needs a great night. He's playing a vital role throughout Wrestlemania and he needs a good match and night under he's belt before the show.

Divas next, and for the past thew weeks we have seen the build up of the only divas match on the Wrestlemania card witch will see AJ Lee and Paige take on Brie Bella and the divas champion Nikki Bella. To be fair, the build up hasn't been all that bad, let's face it, it could of been worse. We have seen clear signs that the WWE have paid attention to #GiveDivasAChance and are trying to make small but affect changes. Last week we saw a great one on one match between AJ and Nikki, where they were given a strong amount of time in the ring and were therefore able to put on a great match and tell a good story also. This match has by far been the best match in the build up and has played a major role also. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what we could get from the divas division tonight. I personally would like to see all divas in action tonight. It would be nice to see the Bella's face off against to other divas in the division and later on in the show Paige and AJ doing the same with the two teams then meeting and having some kind of brawl. It would be pretty good to see a promo too. But both seem unlikely. Last week on Smackdown we saw some of the divas make their predictions for the mania divas match and one diva stood out, Naomi. Is she next in line for a divas title match? After all, she did knock off Nikki Bella a couple of weeks back on Main event.

We also saw the contact signing for the Unites States championship Wrestlemania match between current champ Rusev and John Cena. I'm really surprised that I have really enjoyed this feud and how much I'm looking forward to there Mania match because I was not expecting that at all. Last week I thought the contact signing was great and really well done, but I was not a fan of Lana's replacement.
In case some of you don't know witch I'm sure you all do by now, Lana will be off TV for a while as she is filming a new movie. I still do think that she should be the one to cost Rusev he's match this week at Mania if she is back in time and I have spoke more about this in my prediction post for this match witch will be up either on Wednesday or Thursday. Tonight, the final touches will be added to their feud in time for Mania and I'm predicting a simple quash match for Rusev to put him over and give him the momentum he needs in time for Sunday and what is by far the biggest match of he's career to date. I do also think Cena needs a match also tonight for the same reasons. I'm pretty sure the two will collide one more time before this weekend.

Other things to keep in mind heading into the Wrestlemania go home show include: the tag division. For a couple of weeks we have seen some interesting stuff go down in the tag division but after Jey Uso was injured during RAW a couple of weeks back there has been more attention on the tag team champions and Los Matadores. I'll be honest, this has not entertained me at all but we can expect to see some kind of tag team match for the Mania kick off show. There's also the Intercontinental championship. There has been a great build up for the ladder match for Sunday's live pay per view. Tonight we should see most of the superstars competing gain some extra momentum. In my opinion I think Harper, Ambrose, and Barrett are in need of the most attention. They are the ones who need to pick up a strong singles win before the weekend, especially Barrett who is still the current champ. If he was to pick up a win tonight against one of the bigger names competing in the ladder match it would set him off in the right direction and allow him to walk into Mania strong. Even thought I would rather see him go at it with Ziggler or Bryan it seems more likely it will be Barrett and R-truth. One last brawl between all seven guys is likely to place this week on Smackdown. Sting is also rumoured to be making an appearance tonight on the go home show. We will see Triple H's response to Sting will be a centre peace of tonight also.
