NXT Takeover Dallas Predictions: Sami Zayn VS Shinsuke Nakamura

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good! On Friday the first of April NXT will Takeover Dallas just two days before the biggest Wrestling event of the year, Wrestlemania. With the card looking as strong as ever with the likes of Bayley, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Shinsuke Nakamura and many more set to perform on Friday the event will kick start Wrestlemania weekend and possible result in being the best Takeover to date. Throughout March I will be uploading my predictions posts for every single match set on the card. Usually this would be featured in a prediction week but with Wrestlemania also taking place and Review and Reaction posts to upload there would have been no time so we are changing things up a little this time round. Talking of Reviews I have decided that I will not be uploading a Wrestlemania review the night after just because I want to be able to enjoy the show and its going to be a long weekend for us British fans. If you would still like to read a Review on Mania later on in the week then let me know and I will write one for the Saturday of that week. I'm currently not sure if I'm going to be writing a Review for NXT Takeover Dallas.  As always I will link bellow any recent blog posts including this weeks RAW Review and Reactions post. On Friday the first of April two of the worlds greatest wrestlers will go toe to toe at NXT Takeover Dallas as NXT veteran Sami Zayn takes on new comer Shinsuke Nakamura as the Japanese sensation makes he's NXT debut live on the WWE Network. This is a match bound to be one for the ages and a guaranteed highlight of the night and in today's short blog post we are going to be taking a in depth look at this match analysing what both these talents have to offer in this match and making our final bold predictions for their first ever NXT bout.

Sami Zayn is an NXT veteran, one of the originals. He is known around the world for being one of the top faces in WWE's developmental territory that is NXT. For the past several years he has been working on the roster building himself up and creating he's own earl legacy. Competing in some of the greatest matches in NXT history, Zayn has stepped in the ring with the likes of Cesaro, Adrian Neville, Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd, Samoa Joe and all the best that NXT has to offer providing us all with phenomenal matches that we will never forget. On Friday the first of April Zayn faces another top name as Japanese sensation that is Shinsuke Nakamura makes he's arrival in NXT. This is a match bound to generate a massive amount of attention and one sure to get us all talking. With Zayn now up on the main roster it's nice to see him compete at NXT still in a high profile match. He is going to have a super busy week with Wrestlemania taking place two nights later but as someone who has worked so unbelievably hard throughout he's career he is more than worthy and deserving of such a great set of opportunities and it's about damn time. Sami Zayn is someone who has been working so hard, who has had so many knock backs and has been waiting so long for he's moment to shine that as a big big fan of he's it's great to see him finally get what he deserves.

Since returning back to action back in London England December of last year, Sami Zayn has had one goal; to be the first ever two time NXT Champion. It sounded crazy and was extremely unlikely but if there was ever any NXT Superstar to do such a thing it would always be Sami Zayn. I mentioned in a review right at the start of the year that I felt as though the WWE would be able to really get away with pulling that angle and having Zayn as the first two time NXT Champion. Throughout the early months of twenty sixteen the former champion has had he's eyes on the gold and has been fighting he's way up to number one contender-ship. He's first match was a triple threat against Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin. Here we should have easily gotten our number one contender, however, after both Zayn and Joe forced Corbin to tap out at the same time there was no real winner between the two and so a couple of weeks later the two did battle again this time in a one on one match to determine the number one contender. After a fantastic bout we still had no opponent for Balor for NXT Takeover Dallas after a double pin led to a draw. After the second controversial ending general manager William Regal was forced to take deeper action and set up a two out of three falls match to get a final awnser and ending to this issue. The match was a gruelling bout that lasted all the way throughout the show and in the end we saw Joe with a two to one victory over Zayn meaning that the former champion had lost he's chance at becoming the first ever two time NXT Champion. However, he was not done with NXT and NXT was not done with Sami Zayn and we all very quickly learnt that Sami Zayn would still be competing at NXT Takeover Dallas however this time it would be against Japanese sensation that is Shinsuke Nakamura.

This match is sure to be a fantastic one. These are two brilliant talents and it's going to be a great way to wave goodbye to an NXT veteran as he makes he's way up to the main roster and a great way to introduce a new talent up to the main roster. With all the other big names booked in fantastic matches already Sami Zayn was the perfect fit for Nakamura's first opponent. What is great about this pairing is I believe that Zayn really is going to be pushed to his limits as well. Shinsuke has such a unique style and is so amazingly gifted in the ring, Zayn hasn't really faced anyone like him before in NXT and so seeing how they fair together in a match on this stage is going to be brilliant to watch. Now, booking this match is pretty simple. Zayn us now a full time member of the main roster and so the transition is in full swing. This is a such a great way to write him up to the main roster as this sense of passing the torch. He's not just going to fade off our NXT TV. He is stepping into the ring with a well experienced talent who has created a huge name for himself and together these two will put on something that could put a lot of the main roster Wrestlemania matches under serious pressure. I think what we will see is Zayn really give Nakamura the chance to showcase himself properly and impress the NXT universe. Zayn is so passionate about the future and so so passionate about NXT that you know for a fact he is going to do everything he can to make Nakamura look fantastic and showcase him to be the next big thing.

I'm pretty sure most of you reading this know or have heard of Shinsuke Nakamura. Its pretty hard not to have. Talking of Twitter if you follow me on there you probably would have seen me hyping up a potential NXT signing of Nakamura several months back. When the rumours started to surface about Shinsuke signing with NXT I was super excited. I have been such a big big fan of hes for so long and with the NXT Roster being a strong and as entertaining as it is Shinsuke joining it would have always been a brilliant idea. He is honestly the perfect addition the roster and I could not be happier has has signed. The potential matches and storyline's he could face over the next couple of years is just insane especially with the likes of Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Apollo Crews, and more on the roster any wrestling fan would be jumping with excitement at the potential matches we are going to be seeing.
Like I have already said, Sami Zayn is the perfect first opponent for Shinsuke Nakamura. As an NXT veteran and fan favourite Zayn is one of the most respected men in all of NXT and the WWE and he knows how to make some look fantastic. These are two very unique superstars and two extremely talented men. There would be no better way to showcase a new talent than to have him go one on one with Sami Zayn especially when that new talent is Shinsuke Nakamura. I'm certain that Zayn will really push him and bring out the best in him making everyone whether you have heard of him or not gain some serious interest. And there is also the guarantee that Nakamura will also be brining out a new side to Zayn and bringing out the very best in him also.

I'm very interested in seeing what the WWE have planned for Nakamura in the long run. He's such a gifted, unique, phenomenal talent and there is no chance in hell are the WWE are going to mess things up with him. In my creative little head I have already got about a million ideas for him and matches, feuds, and storyline's I would love to see him in both on on the NXT Roster and the main roster. This match at NXT Takeover Dallas is the start of something huge for Nakamura and I cannot wait to see what we see go down between these two superstars.

I don't know about you guys but I am super excited for this match. The standards of this entire show are so so big and this match adds to so much of that. Everyone is expecting nothing but the best out of this match and I'm confident that neither of them will be letting us down on the night at all. I cannot wait to see how much chemistry they have, the reaction the match gets, how well the two of

them work together on this huge stage and what they can pull out of the bag. Regardless of the length this is sure to be a highlight of the night and I'm certain we will all be left talking about these two throughout the entire night. To be honest I'm expecting nothing but a win from Nakamura. This night is all about creating new stars and the next set of NXT talent to take the spotlight, Nakamura is one of those talents. Taking on someone like Sami Zayn in your first ever NXT match does put you under a lot of pressure and because there are going to be plenty of people who haven't heard of him, Shinsuke is going to have to make sure he showcases all he's best talents and that fantastic charisma he has to win over some of the more mainstream fans who haven't seen he's work before. But I have serious faith in him and I am confident this is going to be a brilliant night for him and he will walk out as one of the top names of the night. I know for a fact Sami Zayn is going to put on a brilliant performance as always. He will showcase himself to be the fantastic superstar that he is while also putting over and bringing out the best in Nakamura. I don't have a doubt in my mind that Nakamura will walk away with the victory but this is also going to be pretty emotional as it is most likely the final NXT match for Sami Zayn and the thought alone brings a little tear to my eye.
