RAW Predictions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good. Its the start of yet another week and as the countdown to Wrestlemania continues on I'm back today with this weeks RAW Predictions. and after an eventful Network Special, Roadblock, on Saturday night tonight's show is sure to be an interesting one. During last weeks RAW there were a handful of unexpected and interesting events that took place, including Sami Zayn's shock arrival, attacking Kevin Owens, Lana attacking Brie Bella, Chair Jericho turning on AJ Styles and the New Day retaining their tag team gold both on RAW and Roadblock on Saturday. So what can we expect from tonight's show? Will Roman Reigns finally make a return after being taken out by Triple H three weeks back? What matches will be added to the Wrestlemania card? And what will be next in the build up to Shane McMahon VS The Undertaker? In today's blog post we are going to be taking a look back at last weeks RAW and Saturday's Roadblock live special and make our predictions for this weeks episode of Monday night RAW. I have already started uploading my NXT Takeover Dallas prediction posts and so they will be linked bellow along with any recent posts including last weeks RAW Review and Reactions. As always you can let me know what your predictions are by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

On Saturday night at the Roadblock WWE Network live special WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H pedigree'd he's Wrestlemania Roadblock out of the way after retaining he's championship against Dean Ambrose in what was a spectacular bout. Now with the lunatic fringe out of he's way Triple H will now focus he's attentions on he's Wrestlemania showdown with Roman Reigns. Despite Ambrose almost pinning him on Saturday night - Deans feet were under the bottom rope causing the referee to call off what would have been a three count - the game now has nothing standing in he's way and can now fully focus he's attentions on the big dog, Roman Reigns. It was three weeks ago that Hunter gave Reigns the beating of he's life and ever since the former world champion has bee recuperating at home watching as he's "brother" Dean Ambrose attempted to teach Triple H a lesson. Personally, I haven't had a major issue with Reigns being kept off of TV. It made sense for him to be out of the way while Ambrose and Triple H had their mini feud and because of how the story was told and what we saw from Hunter during the weeks Reigns was out of action it meant that their rivalry was still fresh in our minds everything made perfect sense. However, with Roadblock now done and dusted it is so important that Roman gets back on our TV and starts gaining some momentum. I'm expecting Triple H to open this weeks Monday night RAW most probably boasting about he's Victory from the weekend witch is all well and good however at some point we must see Reigns make some kind of appearance tonight. Whether it be in the opening or later on in the show. Let's say that Dean Ambrose somehow gets a rematch tonight and after Triple H takes things too far Reigns comes down for the save and attacks the champ. Or, something that is far more likely, the WWE tease a Triple H promo all night long to main event the show and of course Roman Reigns makes he's return and gives the game a taste of he's own medicine. Either way I really do think Reigns needs to make a return tonight. He's been sitting on the sidelines for a thew weeks now and with Wrestlemania fastly approaching he needs to gain some serious momentum and make an effort at getting the fans on he's side. The best way to do that? Show Reigns as the bad ass he needs to be. If he can give Triple H a brutal beating like the game did him than he could manage to get a thew people behind him a little more.

Kevin Owens has been rather vocal about not having an Intercontinental Championship opponent for Wrestlemania. However, during he's beat down on Adrian Neville after their one on one match last week the champ was left speechless when he's long term NXT Rival Sami Zayn came charging down to the ring attacking him and leaving him running off backstage. The pair clashed again on Smackdown after a tag team match was set up where Owens and the Miz took on Neville and Zayn in the opening match of the night. If you read my RAW Review last week (witch will be linked bellow) then you will know that I certainly was not expecting Zayn to come out last week at all. Just like most people I was hopeing for Kevin Owens VS AJ Styles for Wrestlemania but was more so expecting a championship ladder match identical to last years. However, as a huge fan of the rivalry between Zayn and Owens this has got me very very excited and the possibility of these two clashing at the grandest stage of them all has me marking out a week after their clash on RAW. Seriously, in all honesty, I would love to see these two go one on one at Mania for the IC title. There is something very ironic and special about Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens competing against one another at their first Wrestlemania. Long term fans of both of these superstars and their career will completely understand what I mean. Now, there is one more name that we need to mention in all of this; Adrian Neville. It is still likely that the WWE will stick to a IC Championship multi person ladder match (even though I would prefer that for the US Championship personally) and Neville would easily without a doubt be a name to go into this match. They could also decide to have a triple threat witch in my eyes would be just as good as a one on one. For tonight's show I'm expecting The Miz to be in action somewhere either against Kevin Owens (after Owens walked out on him during their tag team match) or of course Sami Zayn VS The Miz. Zayn is very very fresh on the main roster scene. Causal fans would have seen him here and there but he still needs to make he's name known to those who haven't seen NXT and don't know him as well so these next thew shows are going to be about Sami showcasing he's talents and letting everyone know who he is. Owens is also going to need to gain some momentum after a weak week. Getting even with Zayn is just how he should be booked tonight.

The New Day defend their tag team championships twice last week. Once on RAW against Chris Jericho and AJ Styles and the second time at the Roadblock live special on Saturday against League of Nations members Sheamus and King Barrett. In both these matches the New Day found themselves putting on brilliant performances and and still the Tag team champions by the end of the night. With Wrestlemania now just around the corner who will be next to face off against this dominate tag team and go on the hunt to become the new tag team champions? Rusev and Alberto Del Rip have sent tweets out to the New Day over the weekend and so it's likely that the other half of the League of Nations will challenge the New Day for the tag team gold either during tonight's show or of course at Wrestlemania. Even though this is the most likely booking decision to be made for the champs at Mania in a dream world I would love to see Enzo and Cass debut tonight maybe after the New Day defeat the second half of the league Nations. They could cut a promo after talking about how they have defeated every tag team in the locker room and then of course Enzo and Cas come out and give the champs a little surprise. I mean it's very very unlikely more likely to happen on the night after Mania but it's nice to dream and anyway after their NXT Tag team championship loss at Roadblock at the weekend what really is keeping the realist guys in the room in NXT?

Over the past couple of weeks Lana has been targeting Brie Bella and no one really knows why. We haven't heard much from the ravishing Russian and she is yet to explain her actions over the past couple of weeks. Both on RAW and Smackdown Lana attacked Brie using a Bella buster witch to be honest she executed better than Brie ever has, but she hasn't addressed why she has done so or what he issue with Brie Bella actually is. I know there are plenty of you that are hating this little rivalry and believe it's a complete waste of time but personally I don't have an issue with it. There isn't a strong story at all I understand that but I think this is a pretty solid way to introduce Lana as an in ring competitor.  Both these divas have Wrestlemania in sight and the WWE have hinted on their website that these two divas will most probably clash at the show of shows but what will go down tonight? Will Lana give the WWE Universe and Brie Bella an explanation? How will Brie retaliate? What will Lana have in store next for her rival? We can sure expect these two to collide even more tonight and some light should be lit on their growing feud.

After their brilliant tag team championship match against the New Day last week on RAW, Chris Jericho and AJ Styles aka Y2AJ were left defeated and right back at the start on their momentum ride on the road to Wrestlemania. In a shock twist Jericho turnt heel attacking he's partner AJ Styles and on Smackdown a thew nights later he explained he's actions and told the WWE universe that he had plenty of unfinished business with the phenomenal one. I tweeted out during Roadblock on Saturday and commented in my RAW Review and Reactions post last week that I am a huge fan of a heel Jericho. I much prefer Y2J as a bad guy, I always have done and I always will do. In my RAW Predictions last week I did mention that a heel turn for Jericho would be on the cards for the night so I wasn't all that surprised to see him attack Styles. I do however think it was done very very well and I loved Chris' promos on Smackdown and at Roadblock. In all honesty I'm not too sure about the two feuding again. It makes sense yes and it adds to the story of their relationship perfectly however I
think this would have been so much more interesting and better if they had only had two matches instead of three. It would have meant that their inevitable Wrestlemania match would have meant more but with Styles already two one over Jericho I don't know if another one on one really makes sense between the two or if it would work. I don't think their previous matches were as good as I was expecting them to be, I thought they were great but as someone who has wanted to see these two feud for quite sometime I think I was expecting more so on that front I like the idea of them being given one more chance to give a show stopper of a match. It is very very very likely these two will face off at Wrestlemania but personally I think I will prefer this to be something like a two out of three falls match. Now, last week on Smackdown and at Roadblock we never heard anything from AJ Styles himself so we can expect so tonight during RAW one hundred percent. The in ring booking for both these superstars tonight should be interesting as well.

If there is one good thing I have to keep talking about at the moment its how it really does feel like Wrestlemania season during ever single Monday night RAW and Thursday night Smackdown. Tonight is were shit really does get real. I'm expecting something to go down between Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose, I'm expecting Roman Reigns to return, things to get interesting in the divas championship picture and for Ryback and more to focus their attentions even more on the United States championship and of course current title holder, Kalisto.
