Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well and good! Today I'm back with a slightly different blog post. For months now I have been bombarding you with prediction and review and reactions posts and so I thought it was time to change things up and give you something different. I've also pushed back NXT month once again so I thought it was best I gave you something new and different and something that would get you all talking. So here I am today with a blog post I'm sure will get you all talking and thinking about as I tell you why there is going to be no escaping Eva Marie in the up and coming year. This is a blog post I have wanted to do for a while now, since I started seeing her training videos on instagram and when the Total Divas trailer was released I wanted to write and get this post up before the new season kick started. In today's blog post I'm going to be taking you through what Eva has already done since arriving in the WWE, what we can expect from her in the next year, and why I think there is going to be no escaping her from the month of July right through to the next year. I understand this is going to be a really controversial blog post so please if you have anything to say feel free to leave a comment bellow and get the conversation started. There is so much to get through in today's post so let's not waste to much time. Before we get into things I have a couple of short reminders. I have already said that I have pushed back NXT month again which I have hated doing but I've had no choice, there will be more on that later this month with more details. In today's blog post we are taking a look at one of the most controversial divas in WWE history, Eva Marie. Taking a look at her early career and the things she has done so far, I'm going to be telling you why from this summer onwards there is going to be no escaping miss all red everything.

It was only two years ago back in two thousand and thirteen that Eva Marie signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and began training down in the performance centre in Orlando Florida and in May she was announced as one of the cast members for new reality show, Total Divas. Recently working as a model it was a huge change in career for Eva and her lack of experience really did show. It was clear from the beginning that regardless of her lack of experience the WWE were high on her and they wanted to give her the best push possible. However,the WWE universe did not connect with Eva what so ever and she very quickly became one of the most disliked divas of this generation. But why? Who's fault was it really for the reaction Eva got? Let's take a look at who we should be blaming and why by taking a look at Eva's journey.

As I said, it was back in two thousand and thirteen that Eva signed her contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and only a couple of months into her signing she was put as a cast member of a hot new reality show. That straight away put Eva in the spotlight but it also took her time away from actually training. Eva had no wrestling experience before coming to the WWE and so why they thought it would be a good idea to give her something else to use her time up on apart from Wrestling I have no idea. The time spent filming a reality could of and should of been spent seeing Eva train in the ring and work on her character and mic skills. When I look back at Eva's training videos from her early days down in NXT training it was clear she had a lot of potential and if she had spent more time being able to train she would of been on a much better level than where she is right now. I honestly do think the WWE held her back greatly and even though it may have seemed like a good idea to give her the early attention to make her a star this is wrestling and she needs to be able to actually wrestle in order to be a success in the WWE. The other thing that stopped Eva from connecting with the fans was how she was portrayed. On her first appearance on Monday night  RAW she came across as  a red hot heel (see what I did there?) slapping Jerry "the king" Lawler around the face, witch I'm sure many divas have wanted to do in the past but it highlighted her as a feisty diva with an attitude that will get us all talking and we did. By the end of the night we were all talking about Eva Marie but in that one night she was cemented as a heel diva and it was going to be next to impossible to get anyone to forget that first appearance and see her any differently. Total Divas never really helped Eva kick start the best career. She was portrayed terribly bad in the first season, coming across as a fame hungry, attention seeking, bitch to be honest. Her little one up rivalry and "goal" of replacing the Bella's did not go down well at all. The entire season portrayed Eva as a liar, desperate for air time and to make it as big as she can. The second part of that statement isn't a bad thing at all but when we compare how that fight to make is in the WWE to the way JoJo was shown it was completely different.We saw Eva wait until after her little date and flirt with Fandango before she announced she had a boyfriend (now her husband) and her constant flirting, rivalry with the Bella's and lying didn't do her any favours in her early career what so ever. I think maybe if she actually was a stronger wrestler and had more experience she wouldn't have got the reaction she got. A feisty diva has gone down well in the WWE, take girls like Maryse and Nikki Bella for example who have a similar personality and showing of Eva Marie but because they were/are fairly decent in the ring they were a success and went down well with the fans, Maryse being one of the greatest female heels in the WWE. However, because Eva couldn't match what she was saying and had such poor in ring ability the fans didn't have a reason to back her. In the second season of Total Divas there was a new bitch on the block, Summer Rae, and Eva was portrayed slightly better however still dressing inn revealing clothing witch is expected, the WWE still think that the whole "sex sells" in the divas division is a thing but whatever. The change in way she was portrayed just confused fans even more and with her constant heel/face turns no one knew how we were suppose to feel about Eva.

Now, we might not have shown a liking to Eva but for some reason a lot of the bigger names backstage loved her and still do. She was clearly lacking basic wrestling ability but that hasn't stopped the WWE from throwing her into the spotlight and giving her huge opportunities. Total Divas was the first big thing that they gave her. Putting Eva in a reality show that was bound to be a huge hit was a clear showing of just how much they wanted to work on building Eva into the ideal diva. Competing as a special guest referee in a couple of diva matches on Smackdown and RAW, accompanying the Bella Twins for several months, attending huge events, having huge magazine articles and covers, and actually being booked for pretty big matches against names like AJ Lee. Now, if the WWE didn't have faith in her then there is no way she would have been doing the things I have just mentioned. So they clearly do see something in her that the fans are yet to see. Another person who has made it clear they are a fan and a supporter of Eva Marie is the Rock. He has made it more than clear that he is an Eva supporter with instagram and twitter posts telling us just how he feels about her. I think if you've got the Rock backing you up then you really do must have something and even I have to admit there is something there with Eva and its potential. She is a hard worker, with the body she has got and where she is right now in her life she has to be a hard worker. The videos of her early training days prove that she has potential the problem has been how she has been used by the WWE. The blame falls almost completely on the WWE. It's a thing that the WWE seem to always do and that's push their stars to fast and when they're clearly not ready. So can we really blame Eva for doing what has been asked of her? Yes she could have done more to improve herself in the past two years but is it really her fault? And is she the one to really blame?

So why do I think there is going to be no escaping Eva Marie? Well there are a couple of reasons why and I'm going to start with the one thing that has been driving this blog post, Total Divas. Very recently the new season promo/trailer was realised and it showed Eva as public enemy number one. She was shown having several backstage arguments with fellow divas and cast members and the girls talking badly about her behind her back. Pretty much the entire trailer was aimed at Eva and her role in the show. We could tell completely that Eva was going to be the centre piece of this season of Total Divas and the season will be aimed at Eva. Straight away this is putting her back in the spotlight and is going to get everyone talking about her whether if it's for a good reason or a bad reason. After all, bad publicity is better than no publicity right? We also know that Total Divas is often the foundation and creation of a lot of diva feuds on the main roster and the moment Eva is shown to be feuding with the Bella's backstage on the reality show that is straight away going to put her in the spotlight and a feud with Nikki Bella is almost certain to be around the corner. Lets not forget get Eva did tweet out a thew months ago that by Summer Slam she would be divas champion. With Nikki looking to become the longest reigning divas champion of all time in a couple of months, this gives Eva enough time to show some dramatic improvements, set a feud with the Bella's and capture that divas championship. Like it or not, it's a huge possibility.

Talking of improvements, over the past several months we have seen Eva post videos of her training with Brian Kendrick and we know that her training will be shown on Total divas also. Now, I have to admit, Eva looked great in those videos and I'm confident that we are going to see some dramatic improvements from Eva in the ring. If you haven't seen these videos I would seriously recommend checking them out, there all over social media right now so you wouldn't have any troubles finding them on twitter, Facebook or Instagram. These videos have been another thing that have gotten everyone talking about Eva. There has also been her recent appearances on NXT. She was shown to be at NXT Takeover Unstoppable watching the show from the crowd. A couple of weeks later she made an appearance on NXT where she got a terrible reaction from the crowd and she would announce that she would be doing some work down in NXT. on NXT before but the reaction she gets down there is terribly bad so I have to give her credit for going back there and dealing with the huge amount of hate she got. Eva coming down and doing some work with NXT is such a great idea and is exactly what she needs. It's the perfect place for her to show her improvements and continue to improve. It will also be the right place for her to change fan opinion and create a bigger following even if it just for a couple of months.

The next six months or so are really going to see Eva take over whether we like it or not. The journey to Eva proving everyone wrong and becoming divas champion has started and we are going to be seeing her on Total Divas, NXT, RAW, Smackdown, red carpet events and so so so much more. I honestly think it's a huge possibility that Eva could be divas champion by the end of the year regardless of whether or not I like it.There really is going to be no escaping Eva Marie this summer onwards but what do you think?
