Top 15 Superstars of the month

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. We have reached the end of yet another month and I honestly cannot believe how quickly it has gone. I've been so busy over the past eight weeks or so with Wrestlemania season that I haven't had time to keep track of the days. Anyway, with it being the end of another month it's time for  my top fifteen superstars of the month. Just like my top twenty matches (part one of that blog post went up yesterday and the link will be bellow so you can go and check that out if you haven't already done so.) this month there were a lot of TNA Stars and divas/knockouts who stood out and took over this month so you will see them really dominate this months list. Because we had Wrestlemania and all the TNA UK shows there was so much happening and so many male and female talents stood out, making it close to impossible to just come up with fifteen but I have managed to narrow it down and make a list I think I like and am settled with. My top twenty matches of the month part one went up yesterday and part two will be up later today so make sure keep an eye out for the link to that on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr.  I will link bellow any recent posts, including my Wrestlemania review and reactions. You can let me know what your match and superstar of the month have been by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

15) Alexa Bliss
Kicking off my March top twenty superstars is an NXT diva who I have been talking about for just under a year, she is of course, Alexa Bliss. Over the past ten months or so you would of seen that I have been talking a lot about Alexa Bliss and her future in the WWE. She has featured in several blog posts over the past year and was one of the most talked about stars during NXT Season last October. She was also in my top fifteen superstars to watch in twenty fifteen. This month Bliss has been proving why she was put in all those blog posts and why exactly I have been talking about her so much and why I'm such a fan of hers. It was a thew weeks back that we saw Bliss enter the NXT Women's championship picture after we saw her declare she was coming after Sasha Banks and her championship during a backstage interview. After making the bold statement, we saw Bliss return to action after taking some time out due to suffering a broken nose caused by Banks herself. In her return match, Bliss took on Carmella in what was a not so terrible match. Throughout it she had the crowd on her side and threw out some nice little tricks that allowed us to see a new side to her. A week later she took on the champion herself, Sasha Banks when NXT went on the road for a TV taping for the first time. This show actually took place in Alexa's home town and so she of course got the home town pop. The match itself was an improvement from the previous match we got from her and Bliss dominated and took control of the match on numerous occasions. This match actually saw Bliss get a count out win giving her a title opportunity witch we saw a week later when NXT returned to Florida. This match was probably the best of the three we have seen of her this month even though she didn't pick up the win she had a great performance. Also this month, Alexa has been teaming up with Bayley and performing in outstanding NXT Divas matches throughout Wrestlemania month and Wrestlemania Axess.

14) Dolph Ziggler
At number nine this month is Dolph Ziggler. To be fair, the past year has been great for Ziggler and this month it's just got better and better. Throughout the month he has had amazing match after amazing match. He has appeared on almost every episode of both RAW and Smackdown this month and has performed on a high level every single time. We have seen him compete in strong tag team matches but even stronger singles matches. This month was of course Wrestlemania month and Ziggler was set to compete in the Intercontinental championship ladder match against Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper,  R-truth, Daniel Bryan, and Stardust. The build up for this match was great and Ziggler played a discreet but important role. The two main reasons why Ziggler is in this months top twenty and most important top ten is for two matches in particular. The first being the Mania matches. This was an outstanding match and Ziggler had a great performance, the attention was on him throughout and he was one of the stand outs of the match despite not wining. Then there is the one on one title match against him and Daniel Bryan that took place on the RAW after mania show and was one of the best matches of the month.

13) AJ Lee
Up next in this months top twenty superstars is another WWE diva and this time it comes from the main roster talent, and three time divas champion and the longest reigning divas champion of all time, AJ Lee. Since returning to action Lee has been right back on the top of the division setting the bar and being the main focus of the divas storyline's, and it was like she was never gone. The divas match for Wrestlemania was announced and of course the face of the division, AJ Lee was put in the match as she was set to team up with former rival, Paige to take on The Bella twins at the grandest stag of them all. In the build we saw Lee play a key role and she featured on every episode of RAW and Smackdown keeping it all alive and everyone interested in one of the biggest match of all four divas careers. This month we saw have great performance after great performance, her match against Brie Bella on Smackdown was actually in my list of top twenty matches of the month. She had a great showing in the match and the win put her back on track upon her return. We also saw her back on commentary during on of Paige's matches and well AJ on commentary always makes me happy, I don''t know about you. She also kept everyone talking when she caused Paige her championship match against Brie by accident during the go home RAW for Wrestlemania. Then at Mania itself, Lee had a disappointing performance, we didn't really see her do much in the ring at all but I think it was pretty obvious she was letting Paige have her moment witch was great. Despite not being in the match very long at all she did get the win for her and Paige. The following night her team of Paige and Naomi defeated The Bella's and Natalya, this time round Lee had a much much stronger performance and the fact she sporting a Bayley shirt out her right back in my top fifteen of the month list.

12) Drew Galloway
At number twelve this month is another TNA star and it comes from newly debuted Drew Galloway, formally known as Drew McIntyre during he's run in World Wrestling Entertainment. This month saw Galloway arrive in TNA and what an arrival he had. Throughout March we got all the UK shows (witch by the way still makes me seriously sad that I couldn't go!) witch meant he clearly got a massive reception from the crowd. Challenging the Beat Down Clan, Galloway was put centre of attention and even though I haven't been all for the idea of the BDC and their work this just fell together really well and was such a good way to kick start Drew's TNA career. We have seen some amazing promos from the ICW star and he's proven that he's mic work was another thing seriously underutilised in the WWE. He's barbaric, hardcore, care free, rebellious, attitude has paid off greatly this month and has kept me so entertained every single week during the show and I never thought I would of enjoyed the feud between Galloway and the Beat Down Clan. He has had some great matches, in particular he's first, with Kenny King witch also featured in my top twenty matches of the month witch will be linked bellow so you can go check out what I thought about that there. This has been a really great month for Galloway and it looks like he has way more to come.

11) Bram
Up next is one of my current favourite TNA stars and who has been a favourite for a while now, Bram. I think this is the first time Bram has featured in my top twenty superstars of the month list, I have spoken about him on my blog before, some of you may  have seen my get to know Bram post witch I uploaded some time last year. Anyway, this has been a great month for Bram as the feud between him and Magnus really kick started. The feud between these two is something that been growing and has been in the works for many months now and for the past four weeks or so we have really see it come together and both stars have done such a great job but for me it's been Bram that has been on fire and the driver in this feud. This storyline allows him to b right at home (quite literally, due to the fact that their feud was built and properly started during the UK shows.). We all know how barbaric, hardcore, and extreme he is and right from the get go of this feud we have been able to see even more of that. I've also loved how personal it's gone and how TNA have brought in the addition of involving Mickie James and Magnus' son. We've seen some  great segments between Magnus and Mickie and the brawls between Magnus and him have been amazing and really well put together. The fact Bram has had some great matches also this month puts him at number eleven.

10) Ethan Carter
Up next is another of many TNA stars to feature in this months top fifteen, it is, Ethan Carter. I will be the first to admit that I'm not the biggest Ethan Carter fan. I won't deny at all that he is a great wrestler, a really strong mic worker, and he is one of not many mainstream wrestlers who are one hundred percent comfortable and can really work their character, I just personally never really enjoy he's work as much as everyone else may. However, this month my opinions have come close to almost completely changing. He has kept me so entertained this past month that you would not even believe it. He's confidence and natural flair with he's character is memorising. The feud between Carter and Rockstar  Spud  that has been going on for the past couple of moths has been amazing and one of my favourite feuds of the year. At first I didn't think it was going to be all that great and I would of never predicted it was going to end up being my top feud at the moment. Carter has played the perfect heel and he's performance during their London one on one match was just outstanding, I could of literally given him an award for it. From start to finish Ethan was just amazing and I honestly don't think he could of done a better job. Throughout the month he has cut great promos, had huge character development, competed in great tag team matches, and has finally started being put in the Championship picture.

9) Daniel Bryan
Up next is your new Intercontinental champion, Daniel Bryan. Just like Dolph Ziggler,  Throughout the month Bryan has had amazing match after amazing match. He has appeared on almost every episode of both RAW and Smackdown this month and has performed on a high level every single time. We have seen him compete in strong tag team matches but even stronger singles matches. With it being Wrestlemania month, it was a busy month and even though Bryan wasn't put in the main event picture this year, he made sure that he was kept centre of attention and everyone was still right behind him. For Wrestlemania this year Bryan was set to compete in the Intercontinental championship ladder match against Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper,  R-truth, Dolph Ziggler, and Stardust. Throughout the build up, Bryan played a vital role and was centre of attention throughout, cutting solid promos, being involved in the bigger segments of the feuds and competing in top matches. We saw him also participate in the final match before Wrestlemania, an all star eight man tag team match witch was also in my top twenty matches of the month. Bryan's performance was great. He had the crowd one hundred percent behind him, he stood out throughout and in the end won
the match he much deserved, becoming the new Intercontinental champion. The following night he had another amazing match against Ziggler, witch was by far the match of the night and had he's first successful title defence.

8) Randy Orton
At number eight this month is the viper and the Birthday boy, Randy Orton. I will admit that I was a little stuck on where to put Orton in the list, I knew I wanted to have him in this months top fifteen I just didn't know where. But I've finally decided on eight. Since retuning to action in February at the Fastlane pay per view, Orton has been on a roll. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in this month with Randy was that he didn't make an appearance on Smackdown, but hey it's no big deal at all. At the start of the month we saw Orton pretend to be apart of the Authority, playing them like puppets to eventually turn on them at the right timing. One of the best moments of the month had to be that beat down he gave Rollins on RAW. It was so well put together and so barbaric and in true Orton style that you had to love it. I would of liked to have seen him in more one on one matches but what we did see of him was decent. The turning point, wrestling rise for Orton this month had to be at Wrestlemania where he had an amazing performance and victory over Seth Rollins. The closing moments of that match left everyone speechless. This month we have had great promos, interviews, and matches from Orton. A strong build up to he's match at Mania and it's great seeing him work as a baby face again.

7) Brock Lesnar
In at number seven this month is Brock Lesnar. When I was writing this months top fifteen down on paper, I knew I wanted Lesnar in the list, I knew he was going to be somewhere in there from Wrestlemania but I just didn't know where. At first he was at number fifteen, then he was at number eleven, then number ten, then number four, but in the end I decided to settle for number seven. It seemed to feel like the right place. Now, even though we have only seen Lesnar compete in one match this month he has been on fire and has been such a dominate force on the roster. He has made much much more appearances than usual and the WWE did a good job in keeping him on our screen and hot topic even when he wasn't appearing live on TV. Near the start of the month we got a kick ass video promo from Lesnar where he spoke about Wrestlemania, he's run in WWE, Roman Reigns, and he's future with World Wrestling Entertainment. I can honestly say this was one of the highlights of the month for me. I just loved this so much. I thought it was such a great addition to the feud heading into Wrestlemania and he sold himself and he's match so well. Taking of selling Brock Lesnar and the Mania main event, Paul Heyman has done an outstanding job selling Brock Lesnar, the main event and even Roman Reigns. At Wrestlemania Lesnar was just phenomenal. He has yet another dominate performance was a major stand out of the night. Then on the RAW after Wrestlemania he was the focus of the show and after attacking everyone in sight everyone was talking about Brock Lesnar. He was also in the news a lot this month with the news regarding he's contract as he announced during Mania week that he's career with MMA is over and he is staying with WWE.

6) Kurt Angle
This month's number six goes to Kurt Angle. I don't want to talk too much about Angle in this blog post because I'm planning on doing a whole other post just on him so do make sure to keep an eye out for that coming up in the next month. Kurt has been on fire for the past year in TNA but this month it reached an all time high. We saw him throughout March chase after the TNA World championship and in the end he got what he wanted and during the end of the month he was in what was an amazing amazing  match. I wrote about this match in my top twenty matches of the month and that post will be linked bellow. Angle's outstanding match and all round performance he more than deserved the title at the end of it.

5) Rusev
At number five this month is one of my current favourite WWE Superstars, Rusev. Rusev actually didn't feature in last month's top fifteen superstars I don't think and that's the main reason why he is in this month. He has been on a role this year, literally from the get go. He's feud with John Cena was honestly the making of him and I think that even if your not a major fa of Rusev or he's gimmick, you still cannot deny the fact that he is an amazing performer and outstanding Wrestler. This month we really saw him get tested to the limit when Lana took some time off to film a new movie. In this short time, Rusev was left alone for the first time on the main roster to compete without her at ringside and he did a really good job. The contract signing for the United States championship match at Wrestlemania was so well done and was one of my favourite moments of the month. He has picked up strong strong wins and has had two outstanding matches. The first one was all the way back in February when he took on John Cena for the first time and the second was he's amazing match at Wrestlemania against Cena. Even though he lost the match it meant next to nothing because he's all round performance was so so strong and was a defying moment in he's career.

4) Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is at number four this month and let's face it, there are numerous reasons as to why he is in the list and so high up. Since the moment Owens arrived in NXT has he's been centre of attention and has been put straight at the top. This month he has been playing the perfect heel. Being the biggest heel in NXT and holding the NXT championship is a lot to do and a lot of responsibility for anyone especially someone so early into their WWE career, but with Owens having so much experience he is the perfect man for the job and in particular this month he really has been proving that. He kinda has that feel of being the NXT Brock Lesnar in the sense that he is just so dominate and so convincing. This month he has just been having solid performance after solid performance after solid performance and it doesn't matter if it's a match, or a promo or an interview he has been dominate. The mini feud this month between Owens and Alex Riley was such a good idea and even though I wasn't a fan of Riley quitting commentary it was such a good way to add more heat to Owens and keep him busy and showcase he's dominance. The match itself was much better than I predicted and Owens just took control and dominated the whole thing. He then had an outstanding match against Finn Balor on NXT witch saw him retain the championship.

3) Taryn Terrell
At number three this week and is the highest knockout entrance in my top fifteen of the month so far, Taryn Terrell. I'm always talking about Taryn Terrell on both my blog and on twitter you would of seen that two of her matches this month made it into my top twenty matches of the month so you've already read what I think about her work this month. Over the past year or so we really have seen Taryn grow more and more but this month she has been on fire. Throughout the UK shows Taryn has proved to be more than worthy champion, knocking off the likes of Angelina Love, Gail Kim, and Awesome Kong, all former Knockouts champions and top names in the division. We particular saw Taryn this month on a mission to prove herself to everyone even more by defeating Kong. Everything about this little feud was so well done and so well put together. Their one on one match was so much better than I thought it was going to be and the only problem I had with it is that I wish it went on a bit longer. There was then the triple threat match between Kong, Taryn, and Gail Kim for the Knockouts title where Terrell had yet another strong performance and another successful title defence. She has proven week in and week out that she is not afraid of the much bigger, much more experienced, Awesome Kong and has been a more than fighting champion. Meaningful promos, clear heart and passion, and solid matches has put Taryn Terrell at number three this month.

2) Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins come's in at number two this month. I'm sure you are all sick and tired of me talking about Rollins on twitter and here on my blog, I've lost track of how many time's he has been put in my top twenty, or my top five superstars of the week, or in fact any blog post for that matter but he really does deserve it every single time I mention him. Now, this month he didn't actually feature in my top five superstars of the week but when I looked back at everything he had done I had to have him at number two this month especially after Wrestlemania. At the start of March he had an amazing match against Roman Reigns on the second of the month's edition of Monday night RAW, I wrote more about this in my top twenty matches of the month. We then saw the tensions between him and Orton rise for a thew weeks before he took a huge beating from the veteran. Now he may have taken that beating but he did it so well and he sold the whole thing to perfection. Their feud was my favourite of the month and we saw some great mic work from Rollins also. Then at Mania he made
the night all about him having one of the best matches of the night against Randy Orton. To close the night he finally cashed in he's money in the brief case in what was probably the best cash in I have ever seen. Becoming the WWE World Heavyweight champion was the tip of the Iceberg for Rollins this month.

1) Rockstar Spud
Finally, this month's superstar of the month is the first ever TNA star to come in at number one, and it's Rockstar Spud. Looking back at what has happened this month there really was no one else that could of been superstar of the month apart from Spud. Everything TNA related this month has been Spud related and I could not have been more happy about it. In he's home country, Spud shined more than ever in Total Impact. Every single week we saw something great from Spud. He's feud with Ethan Carter reached an all time high this month and really did keep me entertained throughout march. Their one on one matches was by far the best TNA match of the year for me personally. I loved every single second of it and it was such a turning point in Spud's career. He proved he is just as good as any other TNA star and that he deserves to be competing in the ring and deserves respect from everyone. He really did make it clear he was more than a small guy in funny suits. He may not have one the match but he had a phenomenal performance. Taking on Low Ki and becoming the X division champion was the icing on the cake for Spud and really topped it all off for him. Amazing reactions throughout the UK crowds and this really is the start for a great great year for Rockstar Spud.
