Top 5 Superstars Of The Week

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. I'm back today with a new top five superstars of the week. It feels like it has been forever since I did a top five of the week. I was so busy last month with Wrestlemania season that I cant even remember if I uploaded any top five, I may have done one or to but there was a lot going and I was super busy. Anyway, my goal this month is to try and upload as many top five superstars as I can, so that's one every single week and then at the end of the month it will be my top fifteen superstars of the month and top twenty matches of the month. I do really like doing both those posts and I know you guys like them too and so far I've done a pretty good job (I think) in keeping all up to date on those. You ma have realised I'm trying to stick to the same days every month those posts go up. This week's top five is judged just like all the rest, looking at RAW, Smackdown, Main Event, Superstars, and NXT. I do want to start doing a list of TNA and indie stars of the week so if that is something you would be interested in do let me know. This month I will also be starting my TNA Review and Reactions witch I'm really looking forward too. I will leave the links bellow to any recent posts including my Wrestlemania Review and Reactions and last month's top fifteen superstars of the month. You can also let me know what you thought of the action this week and what you would like to see her on Talk Wrestling World next month by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

5) Tyler Breeze
Kicking off this week's top five list is NXT star Tyler Breeze. For the past month or so we have seen Breeze feud with international star and relatively new addition to the NXT roster, Hideo Itami. The feud itself has been extremely well put together and presented by both Breeze ad Itami. The two have had several outstanding matches and this week we saw yet another of those awesome matches added to the list as the Breeze and Itami went one on one in a two out of three falls match. I wrote all about this match and this week's NXT Review and Reactions witch I will leave the link to bellow, but I thought that despite the fact the match may not have fully lived up to the expectations it delivered to a high high standard and looking back at all the matches from this past week this was hands down of the best. Breeze had the performance of the night this past Wednesday on NXT. He continues to prove he is more than just a pretty face and superstar who if used correctly could be one of the most successful NXT stars in history. Throughout the match he stayed in full character, entertaining everyone in the arena and at home and did everything possible to keep all eyes on him. This was quite possibly one of if not he's biggest win to date and was one that people will bring up in years to come in he's career. This week we have also seen video's of him and we all know how tremendously well he did during Wrestlemania week.

4) Daniel Bryan
Up next is our new Intercontinental champion, Daniel Bryan. This week we have truly seen the best of Bryan. At Wrestlemania he won the IC championship ladder match to finally hold the one title he had never held in World Wrestling Entertainment. During the RAW after Wrestlemania show, Bryan defended he's Intercontinental championship for the first time against former champion, Dolph Ziggler.  This was yet another match of the week. We all know that when you put Bryan and Ziggler in the same ring as one another whether it be as a tag team or as opponents they will set the roof on fire and perform a level no one else can. With a split crowd (sort of) it was a match everyone was looking forward too, after all these are two of the biggest, most popular stars in the WWE. The match itself lived up to the expectations of the fans and they both delivered to an extremely high level. Both Bryan and Ziggler had an equally impressive performance and but being the slightly bigger Daniel Bryan I feel like I have to say that he was the stand out of the match, the fact he had won it also and had he's first successful title defence means that he impressed me even more. Then on Smackdown, after being attacked by Sheamus after he's match on RAW, went one on one with the former world champion himself.  This was for me the match of the week. Bryan's performance was outstanding despite the face he lost the match. Two phenomenal matches in one week, puts Bryan at number four this week.

3) Dean Ambrose
In at number three this week is the lunatic fringe, Dean Ambrose. It's safe to say that so far this year, Dean hasn't had the best of luck and has found himself slowly but surely slipping down the roster witch kills me to say. I'm always mentioning on here how poorly treated Ambrose is in the WWE so I won't start talking about that again because one thing we all know Dean will always have on he's side is the WWE Universe. This past Sunday, Dean had a strong showing at Wrestlemania during the Intercontinental championship ladder match despite being taken out and not being in the final five minuets. This week on the RAW after Wrestlemania show, Ambrose kick started something new when he answered John Cena's open challenge for a one on one United States championship match. This was a nice little surprise, I honestly didn't expect Ambrose to come out until the last minuet when my brother suggested it. I'll be honest, at first I wasn't expecting much from this match, I thought it was going to be fairly short and very Cena dominated but it wasn't at all and I really enjoyed it. Ambrose took control of the match and had an all round strong performance. At times it was clear he was carrying the whole thing and even though he botched a move he came back from it really well and put on a great championship match. Then on Smackdown, Kane ordered that Ambrose go one on one with the man who took him out at Wrestlemania, Luke Harper. As I mentioned in my review and reactions, I'm all down for a Luke Harper VS Dean Ambrose at any time, I'm a major fan of both superstars and they always delver to a high standard, this week was no different. Their match was one the matches of the week and I was left impressed with both superstars. Despite the fact that Ambrose didn't win he had a strong, dominate, entertaining performance putting at number three this week.

2) Naomi
This week's number two spot and just missing out on being number one is the first diva to enter this months top five, and it's Naomi. For the past couple of months, Naomi has been on fire. She has had strong match after strong match and her work with The Usos has really boosted her popularity and given her time on TV that she really did deserve. At Wrestlemania she was at ringside during the Tag team fatal four way match witch took place during the second half of the kick off show. Naomi new this was the only moment she was going to get at Wrestlemania and used that to her advantage. There was a particular moment where her and Jimmy went over the top rope and left everyone on their feet. It was in that moment that I think the Naomi push started. The following night on RAW she competed alongside two divas champions in Paige and AJ Lee to take on the Team of the Bella's and Natalya. Throughout the match Naomi was a stand out, hitting some  great spots and making sure that even when when she wasn't competing in the ring she was centre of attention. To top it she was able to make the pin and not only get the winning pin but she knocked off the divas champion for a second time. Then on Smackdown she took on Natalya one on one in what was a great match. Once again, no matter what amount of time these two are given they can always pull off a great match and Naomi just dominated this, and her wide, crazy, impressive move set and solid passion allowed her to score yet another win. Naomi was also announced to be rejoining the cast of Total Divas this season. With this and her entering the divas championship picture, things are finally starting to look up for Naomi. It's about time too.

1) Sheamus
Finally, this week's superstar of the  week is Sheamus. This past Monday during the RAW after Wrestlemania show, aka the best RAW of the year, Sheamus made he's much anticipated return to World Wrestling Entertainment. After spending around five months out of action, he finally returned and what a return it was. The WWE had spent the past couple of months building up and hyping he's huge return. Before the former World champion came out to the live crowd, there was an amazing match that had just finished between Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan for the Intercontinental championship. Throughout the match former champion Bad News Barrett sat at commentary and after the match he attacked Bryan and it was then that Sheamus would make an appearance running down to the ring to what it appeared to be to help Bryan and Ziggler out an clear the ring of Barrett. Now, there were a lot of shocked faces after what Sheamus had did but I was more than expecting
considering he had the build up return of a heel and he's heel turn was set to take place and seriously over due. After fooling the crowd, out of nowhere he attacked both Bryan and Ziggler in true Sheamus heel mode. On the night Sheamus also debuted a complete new image witch left him getting a "You look stupid" chant from the live crowd and him trending for a whole twenty four hours on twitter. On RAW it was first announced that on Smackdown Sheamus would be teaming up with Barrett to take on Ziggler and Bryan but when Thursday rolled around it turnt out Ziggler could not compete and so instead we got a one on one match between Sheamus and Bryan witch I was much much happier about. The two had an outstanding match witch for me was the match of the week. Sheamus had a dominate, strong heel performance and the whole thing reminded me of the real Sheamus I was a mega fan of back in two thousand and nine. The ending to the match was done so well and made Sheamus come across like a top heel. He also put on a great promo before the match that got everyone's attention and debuted a new entrance and theme witch I also loved. This week everyone has been talking about Sheamus and he more than deserves to be this weeks superstar of the week.

  1. One quick thing. Proofread. Also, it's "which", not "witch". Other than that, great article.
