Superstar of the week: Ryback

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World. It's Sunday, witch can only mean one thing, it's time for my Superstar of the week post. Last week Dolph Ziggler landed in at the number one spot after an amazing seven day's of action. This week it's Ryback claiming the number one position. As always I will leave the link's bellow to any recent post so you can go and check them out if you haven't already done so. You can also let me know who you're superstar of the week is by leaving a comment bellow in the comments section or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

This week see's Ryback claim the number one spot for the first time here on Talk Wrestling World. Last week the big guy was actually put in my top five but did not make it close enough to the number one spot. This week he moves four places down to finally become my superstar of the week, and he has more than earned it.

Since returning to action earlier this month, the WWE have been re-building Ryback as a main event superstar, putting him in squash matches against several other wrestlers in the company on RAW, Smackdown and main event, with the goal of getting him over with the crowd, making him look strong and gaining momentum with him ending up back in the main event spot. Last week on Smackdown he went one on one with the Swiss superman himself Cesaro. The match it self was pretty good, but once again it was another match set to push Ryback and get him over. The big guy looked strong throughout and set him up for a good week to come.

Monday on RAW, it felt as if the whole show was focused around Ryback as he took centre stage in the build up to the Survivor Series PPV witch takes place next Sunday. The big guy helped open the show in a segment with John Cena, where Cena would try and convince Ryback to join he's team for the survivor series PPV. It wouldn't take long for the Authority to make an appearance and also try to get the big guy on their side. The powers of persuasion from Stephanie McMahon worked as Ryback attacked Cena with a huge power bomb and without saying much left the ring and walked off backstage. Throughout the night the show focused on Ryback and the fact he was the latest member of team Authority, this included several backstage segments either about Ryback or with Ryback.
He would then go on to main event show, witch came from Liverpool, England. It was announced last week that Ryback would go one on one with fifteen time champion John Cena as part of the main event. The match was actually really good and Ryback was hands down the stand out of the match. It was the strongest match of the night and Rybacks strongest match in a very very long time. At the end of the night Ryback attacked team Authority and would once again leave the ring and head off backstage without saying anything, setting the scene for he's Friday night Smackdown match up.

Friday night on Smackdown, Ryback went one on one with Corporate Kane with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at ringside. The match itself was strong and Ryback was once again the stand out of the match up. He looked strong and was really over with the crowd. The big guy would soon get a steel chair involved witch didn't go down well with Hunter and the two would face off closing the show.

This week has been a strong week for Ryback and it is more than safe to say it has been he's week. The build to the Survivor series PPV has been the main attention of this week and Ryback has played a huge roll in that.
