Survivor Series Predictions: Nikki Bella VS AJ Lee

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World. This Sunday the WWE will present the 2014 Survivor Series Pay Per View, and throughout this week I will be giving you my full predictions of each match set for the card. I will be providing complete analysis of the action that has taken place over the past month leading up to Survivor Series itself. As the week goes on I will leave the link to each prediction post bellow so you can check them all out, and I will leave the link's to any post related to the PPV also. This Sunday at the Survivor Series pay per view, AJ Lee will defend her divas championship against one half of the face of hit reality show Total divas, Nikki Bella. The match came about after Nikki won a number one contenders battle royal on the Halloween special addition of Smackdown on the thirty first of October. Dressed as a black cat Nikki turnt out to be bad luck for the rest of the divas competing in the battle royal and that included her twin sister. While still acting as Nikki's personal assistant witch was her fate after losing to Nikki at Hell in a cell, Brie was ordered to dress as husband Daniel Bryan for Halloween and leave the building, not allowing her to compete for a shot at the divas championship. Throughout the battle royal Nikki played a good game, fading into the background and eliminating Alicia Fox and Paige right at the last minuet to earn her championship opportunity.
Over the past month Nikki has been proving herself to the WWE universe and her critics, competing on a weekly basis and showing herself to be an extremely talent diva on the roster. Although we may not have seen much improvement in her mic work she has more than proved herself in the ring. We have seen great strength and impressive speed from her and it is evident she has a seriously wide, eyebrow raising move set. The WWE have been pushing her the most in the divas division giving her the most amount of TV and ring time. She has been working as a heel extremely well and it is clear she is much better suited as a heel then a baby face. In both previous Pay per view matches she has competed in, Nikki has been the stand out leaving divas like Brie, Paige and champion AJ with some work to do to meet her standards.

As for the divas champion, we have actually seen less of her in action than we have the number one contender. She has managed to pick up little wins along the way but has had her momentum destroyed by numerous attacks from Nikki. It was only last week on RAW that Lee went one on one with Brie Bella and after picking up a submission win AJ's celebration was cut short after another sneak attack from Nikki. After hitting the rack attack, Nikki would stand over AJ holding the divas championship and carrying the most momentum. We have seen AJ do several backstage interviews on both RAW and Smackdown and she has also been at commentary for a couple of matches, this included the number one contenders battle royal.

I think the lead up itself has been okay, a little predictable but okay. I do think the WWE have focused a little too much on the Bella twins and their little storyline rather than the actual divas champion. I keep saying it but the WWE need to pay much much more attention to all the divas in the locker room especially the divas champion in lead ups to pay per views. They have made AJ look  extremely weak in the build up and have pushed Nikki so much that the champion has fallen into the
background. I think this week they need to aim the focus more at AJ. Having her in a strong match up would be the first right move to make. They could also have her go on a crazy attack on both Bella twins to further push the storyline between the twins while still putting AJ over. Or they could just simply have AJ cut a monster of a promo like the one she did last year on the total divas cast. It would really add some extra heat leading to their one on one match. Either way AJ need's to have some more momentum built before going into her pay per view match.

I recently did a post talking about why I think Nikki Bella is ready to be the WWE divas champion and I will leave the link bellow to the that post; I honestly think the best move to make is to have Nikki become the new champ. Don't get me wrong I love AJ and I think she makes a great divas champion but storyline wise I do think they could do a little more with Nikki as the champ and for the simple fact that over the past year we have only had AJ and Paige as the divas champion I think it's time for a new diva to hold the championship and shake things up in the division. The build up has also led me to believe the title may change hands this weekend. The attention has almost one hundred percent been on Nikki and having her loose cleanly will do nothing for her and destroy all her momentum and would flat out make no sense what so ever. I think it's more likely Brie will interfere in the match costing Nikki to win, after all her run as Nikki's personal assistant should be over by Sunday. If they did do this it would make much more sense and it would fit with the lead up and storyline. However does anyone really want to see these two go at it for another month. It's far too seen it all before to go one for anther couple of months. If Nikki loses at the hands of sister Brie than the two will only do what they were doing last month and they would probably end up going one on one at TLC with the winner getting a championship opportunity or there would be another triple thereat for the championship. But to be honest I think if AJ retains they need to move her on to something new. Charlotte has been teasing at live NXT events a feud with AJ and she is rumoured to be coming up to the main roster very soon. If Nikki wins it's clear that her and Brie will feud for the championship for another month or so. Hopefully the WWE change the stupid rule about no total diva cast member holding the divas championship considering that with Paige and Alicia joining the show it means most the divas are actually a cast member. Paige herself has hinted on twitter a rule change so maybe Nikki does have a shot at becoming the new champion this Sunday.
