Fastlane Predictions: Erick Rowan, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback VS Seth Rollins, Kane, Big Show

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. This Sunday the WWE will present the first ever Fastlane pay per view, live on the WWE Network (remember all knew subscribers get the whole of February free). It was announced late last year that the Elimination Chamber pay per view was no longer going to be taking place and even though I was upset about the news at first the reality of it is is that there is no need for the show any more. Anyway, this week is officially prediction week and witch means throughout the next six days I will be uploading my predictions for each match on the card. You all know by now this is something I do monthly for every pay per view and they seem to be pretty popular. None of the posts in my prediction series have been influenced by any of my followers or readers but I would love to hear what you all think. Wrestlemania season has also already started on my blog. I was going to start the series later but I decided to kick start everything almost a month early, so lucky you. The links to any recent posts will be listed bellow including my NXT Takeover Rival Review and Reactions and my recent post in Wrestlemania season. Finally, you can let me know what your predictions for the show are and what posts you would like to see in Wrestlemania season by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria. I will also be live tweeting on Sunday throughout the show.

This Sunday Erick Rowan, Dolph Ziggler and Ryback will once again team up to face members of the Authority, Kane, The Big Show and Mr Money in the bank,Seth Rollins, live at the first ever WWE Fastlane pay per view. The match came about after things went out of hand this past week on Smackdown, but with all six superstars currently not in a solid storyline, the match was bound to happen and it was the easiest way to get them all on the final pay per view before Wrestlemania. This match is beyond important for all of these superstars but who needs to stand out the most? Who needs a strong performance the most? Today, I'm going to be taking a deeper looking into these questions and also taking a look back at what has happened over the past year for all these superstars and making my bold predictions for this weekend. At the end of this post I will also add my little predictions for the one on one match up between Stardust and Goldust, also. So with so much to get through let's get started!

Ryback, Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler
The past year for these three superstars has been an intresting, long, ride. At the start of the year we saw the bug guy, Ryback, but in a tag team with Curtis Axel, Rybaxel, however, despite their solid matches and positive build up, the two never came across like a strong tag team to have faith in and watch in the future. The failed to connect with each other and the WWE universe and when Ryback suffered an injury, putting him out of action for a number of months, the duo faded apart and both went back to their roles as singles competitors in the company. Upon Ryback's come back, he was given an almighty push, when the WWE put him back at the top of the roster, in the main event picture, where he had been only a year or so back. To be fair, Ryback should have stayed at the top in the first place. He's a great talent, with a lot to show for himself in the ring, he's body type and all round image is more than enough to put him at the top. The only thing he really lacks is character. With huge charters like Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose, it forces all the superstars to go up a notch when it comes to charisma. Despite being put back in the main event position, creative clearly found it difficult storyline wise to fit him into something that showcased he's best skills and I think that's why he's at such an awkward time right now. He managed to fit in a good set of one on one and tag team matches and at the Survivor Series pay per view main event, the WWE made yet another major bad move when they gave him the worst performance on the night. Since then he has cut a great promo witch actually made me change my opinions on him completely, but due to poor booking, Ryback hasn't been in anything entertaining since he's push and has been put in various weak matches and a terrible feud with Kane. We the have Erick Rowan. Let's be honest, this has been a pretty good year for Rowan, as we've really see him come into he's own and shine on the roster. Throughout most of twenty fourteen, we saw him tag team with faction partner, Luke Harper, and together they dominated the tag division, despite not holding the tag team championships. They put on some of the best tag team matches we have seen from the WWE in years and even though Harper was made the centre of the attention most of the time out of the two, Rowan had he's moments in the spotlight and left the crowd and everyone at home on their feet and stunned. I still think that one of the biggest mistakes the WWE made last year was not putting the tag team championships on Harper and Rowan When the WWE split the Wyatt family, this was when Rowan really started to come into himself and show he will and can make it as a solo wrestler in the company. I do think the WWE did fail him massively when he did go solo. They could of gave him a stronger performance at the Survivor Series pay per view and he's feud with big show went extremely badly. I really do think the WWE Had such a huge opportunity here. The match between the two at TLC could of been the making of Rowan, yet they had him loose massively to man who this time next year probably wont be wrestling. We then have Dolph Ziggler. The past year has been pretty up and down for Ziggler but mainly up. He captured the Intercontinental championship twice last year, however both feuds were weak and the best thing to come out of the was he's ladder match against Luke Harper. He of course then had that amazing performance at the Survivor Series pay per view where he was hands down, the man of the night. However, the WWE have failed to get him into something solid and interesting. He's had some outstanding matches over the past year against the likes of Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, and more but he hasn't been in a strong storyline and I still do think he needs a heel turn in order to move up a bit.

We then have the other team; Seth Rollins, Kane, and The Big Show. First up Kane and Big Show. These guys have had a very similar past year. With Kane however, he has been put or at the top of the roster than Show. Throughout the first half of twenty fourteen, Kane was involved in a huge storyline with Daniel Bryan but the feud wasn't a hit with many of the fans. Since joining the Authority, Kane has really struggled. He's matches have been repetitive, boring and he just hasn't been able to be intresting enough to want to sit down and watch. The Big Show on the other hand, has suffered all the above for a while now but was never in an intresting Storyline. They have continued to turn him heel and face over and over again throughout the year.Seth Rollins on the other hand has had an amazing year and could not possibly as for a better year. He was actually my superstar of the year so I will leave the link to that bellow to save going through all that again.

This weekend I'm hoping this match is pretty lengthy witch I'm predicting it is going to be. I think superstars like Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins need to take a seat back, they have had some great matches in the past thew weeks but I do think that there are other superstars in the match that need the spotlight a much more. That being said, if team Ziggler do win, that it's probably best he does win it for them. He has suffered several major losses these past thew weeks and does need a solid win to put him back on track. I think out of everyone, Rowan needs to shine. He really needs to take the spotlight and have a strong strong strong performance. He has so much potential and it's about time the WWE start booking him right. He's going into this match being considered the weakest and he needs to leave it as the strongest. I'm predicting Rollins will dominate most of the match and Rowan and Show will end up being the weakest. I'm also predicting Randy Orton's return. He's been out of action for quite a while now and he's feud with Seth Rollins needs to kick start at Fastlane. So either he costs him the match or makes an appearance after the match, pushing back he's return any more will do no good for either superstars.

Stardust VS Goldust

Finally, this Sunday brothers, Gold and Stardust will go one on one at the first ever Fastlane pay per view. After a month of heat building between the two, the match was bound to happen. To be honest I'm not really excited about this match. I don't think it's going to be a stand out match at all ad I don't think they will get that much time in the ring either. I've comments several times over the past couple of months or so, how bored I am of the Stardust gimmick and how I think it's time to bring Cody back. What I'm hoping will happen is Cody will realise he's gone crazy and ditch the gimmick. But I do think he's walking away with the win this weekend even though I'd really like to see Goldie win. Talking of Goldust, I have the feeling that this could possibly be the last feud for Goldust. Yes, he's
in great shape and there is still so much he can do but at 45 and with the WWE focusing mainly on the younger talent, there doesn't seem to be much for him. A retirement match between the two at Wrestlemania is possible, it would make sense for he's brother to retire him, but I'm really hoping that is not the case. I think this weekends match will be short but with some great spots and very split and I do think it will be Stardust who gets the win mainly because it makes the most sense.
