Top 20 Matches of the month pt2: February

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well! So we are at the end of yet another month, I know, where does the time go, it honestly feels like I only uploaded my January addition the other day; Witch means it's time for my top twenty matches of the month. I announced at the start of the year that from now on I will be uploading my top twenty matches and top ten superstars of the month at the end of every month Both lists will be judged from the WWE main roster, NXT and TNA. If you would like me to include matches and wrestlers from the independent scene then do let me know in the comments bellow. Just so you know, the matches are not just coming from the RAW and Smackdown main roster shows, it will also include main event and superstars. Just like in last months post, I will put the date of each match next to the match title itself. January's two lists will also be linked bellow so you can check them out if you haven't done so already, and part two of this post will be listed bellow. You can let me know what your match of the month has been by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

10) Kevin Owens VS Adrian Neville (NXT 18/2)
So we have reached the half way point and kicking off the top ten in my top twenty matches of the month is yet another NXT match and this time it comes from the main event match up between Adrian Neville and Kevin Owens on the eighteenth of this months episode. It was only last month that these guys had an amazing one on one match and so they really did set the bar high for themselves and they had a lot to live up to. But these guys are hands down, two of the most talented superstars the in the WWE and so we all knew this was going to be a great match up and they did not disappoint what so ever. It fast paced, it was back and fourth, both guys got a lot of offence and showed so much in what wasn't the longest amount of time. The crowd loved everything second of the match up and so did everyone at home and it was a great first performance for Kevin Owens as the new NXT Champion.

9) Bray Wyatt VS Dolph Ziggler (RAW 10/2)
CONTENT FROM RAW REVIEW AND REACTIONS- Up next, after their amazing match last week on RAW, former Intercontinental champion, Dolph Ziggler attempted to gain some retribution against Bray Wyatt as the two went one on one once again. As I just said, last week these guys had an outstanding match so I had no problem what so ever seeing the two compete again and this match was just as good as their previous one. These two are amazing amazing wrestlers and all round performers. They know how to entertain and put on a great match at the same time.Their are just two superstars who you could honestly watch compete all night long. Their move sets and talent is endless and they really do work extremely well together. After a viscous drop kick Wyatt was left bleeding from the nose but it didn't phase him what so ever and he carried on, dominating a good chunk of the match. Despite another great performance, Ziggler was left receiving yet another Sister Abigail and Wyatt scored he's second win over Ziggler in two weeks. I understand that the WWE are currently trying to build Wyatt up for a big match at Wrestlemania, and the hints as to who he's opponent will be continued in a promo he delivered later on in the night, but I'm really worrying for Ziggler. He seems to be all over he place on the roster at the moment and can't stay in anything solid. Two losses in a row to Wyatt is doing him no favours, but he's amazing performances will always keep him one of the most talked about superstars of the week.

8) The Hardys VS Abyss and James Storm (Lockdown)
Up next at number eight is one of the best tag team matches I have seen so far this year and it comes from the TNA Lockdown show when legendary tag team, The Hardys took on the TNA Tag team champions, James Storm and Abyss. This match had everything you could want. There was not  single moment throughout this match were my eyes moved from my TV Screen. I loved how extreme it was, how energetic it was and the crowd and everyone at home loved every second of it. The two teams had so much chemistry and the match was so well put together. Even after the match when things turnt a little dark, I was fully entertained and I was left almost speechless. I might not like the idea of Abyss and James Storm being the tag team champs but they had an outstanding performance on the night and proved to be worthy champions.

7) Seth Rollins VS Daniel Bryan
CONTENT FROM RAW Review and Reactions- Seth Rollins VS Daniel Bryan (RAW 3/2)
We then have the one on one match up between Mr Money in the bank, Seth Rollins, and Daniel Bryan witch main evented RAW on the third of this month. Now, can I just say, the ROH feels were high for this match. These two are simply two of the best, most popular, most experienced young superstars the WWE have right now and so we all knew we were in for an amazing match up and they lived up tot he expectations of the WWE universe. I will admit I was really tired by this time of the night, for us UK fans it was around four AM when this match started so my eyes were pretty sleepy, but I managed to stay awake and let's be honest, with this action there was no way I was falling asleep. What I loved about this match was how much chemistry they had, and how believable it was. The match honestly got better and better as it went on and with so much at steak it just had that feeling of importance to it. The action was none stop and their in ring styles simply complimented each other so so well. You could really tell they knew each other really well. I was expecting to see an appearance/return from Sheamus or Randy Orton witch was the only let down, but all round this was just another match that proved that the future of the WWE is in safe safe hands and these two superstars are the ones we will be watching for many more years to come.

6) Tyler Breeze VS Hideo Itami (NXT Takeover)
Content from NXT Takeover Review and Reactions-The first match of the night was actually announced on the pre show, and it was a re-match against Tyler Breeze and Hideo Itami. It was a couple of weeks ago that these two had their first match against each other on an episode of NXT and what an outstanding match they had; But it did mean that the expectation for their second match were much higher and now that we all knew they could put on an amazing match we were all expecting another one. In my personal opinion I think the match last night was better than their previous one. They just raised the bar that much higher and for me it was Breeze who was the stand out. What I love the most about Tyler is how well he tells a story when he wrestles, not everyone can do that and he does it so well. He has such a captivating and entertaining character that he honestly works so so well and so convincingly. Breeze first really proved himself back at NXT Takeover when he went one on one with Sami Zayn, Since then he's been on a roll, proving week after week he is a top talent not only in NXT but in the WWE altogether. Last night was yet another outstanding performance from him and as I said, in my opinion he was the stand out of this match. The figure four leg lock on the post was just one of the amazing things he did last night and eve though he did't win, the fact he has such a strong performance means he wont be affected by the loss what so ever. As for Hideo, amazing. Honestly, he just get's better and better. From watching he's work before the WWE, I know that there is still so much left to see of him but I like the way we are getting more each time he comes on the TV and we're just waiting for him to take it up to the next level. Of course there was a time during the match we thought we were going to see him use the GTS but last night just wasn't the night. But he did have yet another great performance and picked up the win in the process. Altogether, a great start to the show.

5) Bray Wyatt VS Dolph Ziggler ( RAW 3/2)
Up next we have the second match to take place between Dolph Ziggler and Bray Wyatt on Monday night RAW, this time dating on the third of the month. Now we all know how extremely talented these two superstars are. They are both so different when it comes to their all round style whether it be physically or in the ring, but that does not affect the way they perform against each other in the ring. I have to admit that at first I did just think this was going to be a match to put over Dolph Ziggler, considering it was he's first match on RAW since being fired and it was only going to be a thew minuets, but we got a decent length, solid match and both superstars got the chance to steal the spotlight for a while and to be honest, stole the show. Their completely different styles somehow complimented each other really really well and they had fairly decent chemistry. With a split crowd, it was anyone's game and the longer it went on, the better it got. It was back and fourth with momentum being split throughout the match also. I mentioned in my RAW Review and Reactions post from that week that I was expecting Ziggler to walk away with the win considering it was he's first match back on RAW, but surprisingly it was Wyatt who got the one ,two, three. Of course the WWE are currently building him up for a big Wrestlemania match, but this was the type of match where there was no loser because they both just did so well.

4) Seth Rollins & Randy Orton VS Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan (RAW 23/2)
Content from RAW Review and Reactions- It was then finally main event time and Randy Orton and Seth Rollins teamed up to face Daniel Bryan and the man who will main event Wrestlemania, Roman Reigns. You all know how I feel about tag team main event matches and so I wasn't jumping with joy for the match but these are four top talents in the WWE right now so it wasn't as bad. Bryan and Reigns work really really well together, they have proved that throughout this past month and last night was no different. I thought the match should of been longer. I think they waisted a lot time during the last hour of the show witch they could of used in the main event. The match it self I thought was great. It was a nice main event all four superstars have so much chemistry. Randy had a great performance last night but to be fair they all did it was just that I was paying extra attention to Randy. Out of all the superstars I think Roman had the weakest performance but it wasn't a terrible one at all. This is the type of main event I want to see, amazing. As the match went on the tensions between Orton and Rollins continued and it was Daniel Bryan who was able to score the win for he's team. After the match Orton and Rollins had a little more tension but nothing major went down between the two witch was disappointing.

3) Finn Balor VS Hideo Itami (NXT 5/2)
We then have the one on one match between two of NXT's hottest current stars, Finn Balor and Hideo Itami. As we all know this match was apart of the number one contenders tournament for the NXT Championship. There's honestly not much you can say about this match, it was simply outstanding. There's no denying the pure fact that these two are two of the most talented Wrestlers around right now. They both bring something completely different to the WWE and have so so much to offer. This match proved that one hundred per cent. It was clear they knew each other so well and the chemistry between the two in the ring was just amazing. I can honestly say, I could and would watch these the two of them wrestle each other all night long. They really did set the bar so so high during this match for themselves and for the other men in both the NXT and main roster. The amazing amazing crowd  really did make this match even better and the fact they got a "marking out" and "this is awesome" chant before the match had even began says enough.

2)Charlotte VS Sasha Banks VS Bayley VS Becky Lynch (NXT Takeover Rival)
Content from NXT Takeover Review and reactions- We then had the NXT Women's match witch saw Charlotte defend the title in a fatal four way against Sasha Banks, Bayley and Becky Lynch. I know I say this about every NXT live show divas match, but this was honestly the best divas match I have ever ever seen. I don't even know where to start. They all had such an amazing performance. A lot of the time with fatal four way matches, there is always one or two people who it feels like they shouldn't be there. That they don't have a place and do really do much, this was not the case in this match. Every single one of these divas deserved to be their and all of them performed outstandingly. It's almost impossible to choose a stand out but if I had to choose one it would have to be Bayley but they all did so well. Bayley just took it to another level. She did stuff in the ring last night I had no idea she was capable of doing and she really did out do herself. The weakest of the match has to be Lynch. She did have a great performance but out of everyone she was the weakest and that was clear. What I loved the most about this match was the length. These girls gout almost thirty minuets in the ring and honestly I couldn't be more happy. I'm always talking about the divas getting more time and NXT just give them that. The fact they got such a long match means that they got to show so much and what frustrates me so much is that NXT only got two hours last night but they manage go give the girls close to half an hour in the ring, yet RAW is a three hour show and the divas struggle to get ten minuets a week. The divas on the main roster are capable of performing to this level but they
don't get the time to stand out. Last night these girls raised the bar and proved that women can do just as much as men. I was expecting Bayley to walk away as the new champ but it was beyond happy to see Banks crowned the new champ, She was the one I was personally rooting for and she more than deserved the win. We saw her use Becky at the start of the match and it was great seeing the tensions between the two rise and see her eventually pin Charlotte to become the new NXT Women's champion. It was also great seeing Charlotte and Banks have their little moment at the end of the match. It was also so nice seeing how much respect the divas get down in NXT from the fans and live crowds, their storyline's are so well written and NXT
proves people want to see divas wrestling matches.

1) Finn Balor VS Adrian Neville (NXT Takeover Rival)
And finally the match of the month is the NXT Takeover match up between Finn Balor and Adrian Neville. This was an outstanding match up between too phenomenal wrestlers with bags of chemistry. Content from NXT Takeover Review and Reactions- Up next was most possibly the most anticipated match of the night, the final round in the number one contenders tournament for the NXT championship, seeing Adrian Neville go one on one with Finn Balor. The expectations for this match were so so high. These are two of the biggest stars around right now and two of the most talented and so everyone was excited for this match up including myself. I was a little worried that because my expectations were so high that they wouldn't meet them but this match was just phenomenal. I'm trying so hard not to swear here, but it was just outstanding. You couldn't take your eyes off the screen because you knew that the moment you looked away for a second you could miss something huge. There's honestly not much I can say about this match because it was that good. There was no clear stand out in my opinion. One didn't stand out more than the other at all. It was such a great back and fourth match, extremely athletic, it had so much  character and story to it and most importantly it was convincing. After Balor scored the win it will be interesting seeing what they do with Neville and how they will write him out of NXT as he goes up to the main roster. Balor's entrance was of course amazing and I'm glad the body point is going to be a regular thing.
