Wrestlemania Flashback 5-7
Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. Now, as you know it is now Wrestlemania season on my blog. Witch means from now right up to Wrestlemania thirty one my blog will be taken over by all things Wrestlemania, from top fives, to matches best for the thirty one card leading right up to the predictions on the final week. Today's post is the first in a complete series, Wrestlemania flashback. This will be a regular post going up every week leading up to the final prediction week. What I will be doing is going back to every single Wrestlemania and giving all the facts from that time. I will list every match that was on the card of that year and who won, the venue, how many people where in attendance and other little facts surrounding the Wrestlemania of that year. There is special post for Mania one witch is why it is not featured in this post and we are starting at five to seven. For the first time in history, the same venue hosted back to back Wrestlemania when the WWE brought it's biggest pay per view back to Trump Plaza in 1989. The repeated venue was a huge hit and the big main event witch saw Randy Savage defend he's WWE championship against Hulk Hogan brought in an addition 1,000 fans than the previous year and 200,000 more pay per view
buys.

In 1990, the WWE took its biggest event of the year north border, where Canada's SkyDome hosted Wrestlemania six. This was not only the first time the WWE crossed borders for Wrestlemania but it was also the first time there was a champion VS Champion main event as WWE champion Hulk Hogan took on Intercontinental champion Ultimate Warrior.

In the main event Iraqi Sympathizer Sgt. Slaughter was set to defend his WWE championship against Hulk Hogan at the outdoor Los Angeles Coliseum. But as the road to Wrestlemania drew closer to its destination, the conflict in the middle east began to heighten, and security around Slaughter and the entire event became a concern. With the safety of its Superstars and fans in mind, the WWE chose to move Wrestlemania indoors, marking of the rare times that the current events worked against WWE's original plans.
