NXT Review and Reactions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. Last night saw the final episode of NXT before the next live show, NXT Takeover Rival, witch will take place next Wednesday live on the WWE Network. My predictions for Takeover will start to go up this Saturday, I will post reminders in the mean time. I also want to quickly remind you that Wrestlemania season has now started on my blog and the link to the first post in the series will be listed bellow at the end The show last night was another truly outstanding episode. With two divas matches, solid build ups to other NXT Takeover matches and an amazing amazing main event between Finn Balor and Hideo Itami. Today, I'll be analysing everything that happened last night in full detail and how it will all contribute to next weeks live show. You can let me know what you thought of last nights episode and what you would like to see in Wrestlemania season by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria. Finally, all the links to any recent posts will be bellow so you can check them all out.

Carmella VS Emma
The first match of the night saw Emma return to NXT to take on rising star, Carmella. Acknowledging her career hasn't been going they way she intended it too, Emma came back to NXT last night in the search for some momentum, taking on former rival, Carmella. What I loved about Emma's return to NXT is the respect she got from the crowd. Since going up to the main roster Emma has been treated almost like a female Zack Ryder, and the live crowds for RAW and Smackdown show her next to no respect. Down in NXT she is shown to be one of the best current divas on the roster ad the fans know that and treat her the way she should be treated. As for Carmella, I really anticipated her TV debut, and I have been very impressed since she graced our screens a while back. When you look at her you can see she's a star and she's going to go far. She has the look, the attitude, the style and most importantly, the in ring capability. Going up against Emma in a longer match was really a huge test for Carmella. Emma is one of the best divas around at the moment even though we might not see it that much now days, and with Carmella being so new to the roster she has to show a lot and last night she did that. She really did hold her own and showed much more. She has so much character and so much to give all round and I'm glad she got her  moment to shine. Emma had a great performance also, dominating a good chunk of the match. However, using her killer submission , it was Carmella who scored the win.

Baron Corbin VS Adrian Neville
It was then time for the man who gravity forgot to take on the much larger, Baron Corbin. I mentioned in last weeks Review ad Reactions post that this match was extremely important for Baron Corbin. It was important that he showed he's more than a ten second star and can do so much more in the ring. And after all, this was the semi final match in the number one contenders tournament for the NXT Championship, it doesn't get more important than that. Now, Baron is a big guy, almost seven foot, nearly three hundred pounds. The numbers themselves are enough, but because we haven't seen that much of Corbin in the ring I don't think anyone really knew what to expect. But I have to admit, I loved this match, I thought Corbin proved everything he needed to prove and really did have he's moment to shine. It was a slow start, I still think he needs to brush up and work on looking a little neater in the ring but when he's in the ring with someone like Neville, who's smaller and faster, he's going to struggle a little. Corbin used he's size and strength to he's advantage and had some great spots, hitting Neville with a monster of a clothesline. This was by far Barons best performance to date. He really proved he has a lot to show and I was really really impressed. He dominated most of this match and showed he is one to really watch in the near future. Despite the amazing performance, after Bull Dempsey made a sneaky appearance, throwing Corbin into the steel post, it was enough for Neville to take advantage and hit the red arrow in order to get the win and qualify for the final round.
Next Wednesday will also see Baron Corbin take on Bull Dempsey once again.

Bayley VS Becky Lynch
We then has another divas match. I just want to quickly say how glad I was to see two divas matches last night. It really proved that the WWE are not doing enough on the main roster with the divas, if NXT witch is only a one hour show can fit in two divas matches, witch are lengthy and entertaining and the main roster girls are struggling to get ten minuets of air time a week, then something is really wrong. This was another great match. I though this was a really important one for Becky. She's defiantly the week link going into this fatal four way next week and it was important they made her relevant in the match and gave her some momentum and a story to go by heading into the match next week. She had a solid performance last night, dominating most of the match, but Bayley also had a good performance and was able to score the win thanks to Sasha Banks. At the end of the match, Banks and Lynch showed some tensions and it looks as if that's the path their going down for Becky. We also saw a stare off between all four ladies when the current NXT Women's champion made an appearance. I love the attention on this match, its nice to see the divas in something that's actually gripping and entertaining.

Finn Balor VS Hideo Itami
Finally, the main event, witch saw  Finn Balor and Hideo Itami go one on one in the last semi final match in the number one contender tournament for the NXT Championship. This match was just outstanding. I honestly don't know what else I can say. They both proved that the future of the WWE is in more than safe hands and that they are the future. It was such a back and fourth match and so skilful. The crowd reaction was amazing, and I just want to mention I have a post all about Finn Balor and why he is the future of the WWE coming up in the next month or so, so keep an eye out for that. It was Balor who scored the win and will now take on Adrian Neville in the final round next week at NXT Takeover.

Why Daniel Bryan VS Sheamus is best for both superstars
