NXT Takeover Rival Predictions: Finn Balor VS Adrian Neville
After battling their way through a number one contenders tournament, Adrian Neville and Finn Balor will go one on one for the first time in the final round to determine the number one contender for Sami Zayn's NXT Championship. There's no doubt about it, these two superstars are the best of the best and the standards and expectations have been set extremely high for the two, will they be able to meet those standards? Will we see the return of Finn Balor's face and body paint once again? And most importantly, who will get one step closer to becoming the new NXT Champion? Today, I will be looking back at what has been happening for both of these superstars over the past couple of months and what my full predictions for their match this Wednesday. I will also be inserting some comments from previous posts about these two at the end.
Adrian Neville
Adrian Neville has had an amazing amazing year. Climbing to the top of the roster and proving time and time again he is the best of the best and future of this business, Neville has become on of the most popular and must see NXT superstars in history. Talking of history, Adrian is also the longest reigning NXT Champion in history. He's list of achievements is endless and every single match he has competed in in the past year has been amazing in fact some of the best in not just the history of NXT but the WWE as a whole. He has competed in every single NXT live show and the standards have gotten higher and higher. This Wednesday Neville will try and get back on top as he takes on Finn Balor in the final round of the number one contender tournament for the NXT championship. I think we all know we are in for a treat with this match as it has the potential to be one of the best matches in the history of the WWE. You could honestly give these guys five minuets and they will blow us away. I think the match will be very very split down the middle but I'm going for Balor on this one. There would be no point putting Neville back in the championship picture. He will most definitely be going up to the main roster in the next couple of months or so and therefore putting him back in the line for a title shot would make no sense when you have a new, up and coming star more than capable of stealing the spotlight and taking on whom ever is the champion by the end of the night for the championship at some point. That's not to say Neville will have an amazing performance, we all know he is going to put on an outstanding performance.
Finn Balor
Since arriving in NXT Finn Balor has dominated the roster. He has become on of the most must see superstars in the history of NXT and has climbed he's way to the top week after week. He has not been in a single weak match up what so ever and has stole the show every time he is in the ring. At the last NXT live show, Balor was the star of the night when he had a mind blowing entrance to go with an outstanding performance in he's tag team match up. It's clear that the WWE are extremely high on Balor and have huge plans for him and I can defiantly see him being the face of the company and nothing less. Being a fan of he's for so long I know there is still so much left to see of him and we haven't seen half of what he is capable of, This week we will see so much of him and he will prove once again why he is worth the hype.
NXT Review and reactions
"Finally,the main event, witch saw Finn Balor and Hideo Itami go one on one in the last semi final match in the number one contender tournament for the NXT Championship. This match was just outstanding. I honestly don't know what else I can say. They both proved that the future of the WWE is in more than safe hands and that they are the future. It was such a back and fourth match and so skilful. The crowd reaction was amazing, and I just want to mention I have a post all about Finn Balor and why he is the future of the WWE coming up in the next month or so, so keep an eye out for that. It was Balor who scored the win and will now take on Adrian Neville in the final round next week at NXT Takeover."
"It was then time for the man who gravity forgot to take on the much larger, Baron Corbin. I mentioned in last weeks Review ad Reactions post that this match was extremely important for Baron Corbin. It was important that he showed he's more than a ten second star and can do so much more in the ring. And after all, this was the semi final match in the number one contenders tournament for the NXT Championship, it doesn't get more important than that. Now, Baron is a big guy, almost seven foot, nearly three hundred pounds. The numbers themselves are enough, but because we haven't seen that much of Corbin in the ring I don't think anyone really knew what to expect. But I have to admit, I loved this match, I thought Corbin proved everything he needed to prove and really did have he's moment to shine. It was a slow start, I still think he needs to brush up and work on looking a little neater in the ring but when he's in the ring with someone like Neville, who's smaller and faster, he's going to struggle a little. Corbin used he's size and strength to he's advantage and had some great spots, hitting Neville with a monster of a clothesline. This was by far Barons best performance to date. He really proved he has a lot to show and I was really really impressed. He dominated most of this match and showed he is one to really watch in the near future. Despite the amazing performance, after Bull Dempsey made a sneaky appearance, throwing Corbin into the steel post, it was enough for Neville to take advantage and hit the red arrow in order to get the win and qualify for the final round.

"Up next we had the next match in the NXT championship number contenders match as former champ, Adrian Neville took on formal rival Tyson Kidd. Now, these two know each other inside out. Over the past year these guys have put on some amazing amazing match ups, some of the best in many many years and so I knew we were in for yet another great match and they did not disappoint what so ever. They have so much chemistry in the ring it's insane and whenever you see the sign "Adrian Neville VS Tyson Kidd" you are atomically excited for the match expectations reach a whole new height. Last nights match just got better and better as it went on but that's not to say it was a weak start what so ever. These guys know how to give us an amazing match and know how to work the crowd. Kidd makes such a strong heel that you kinda love to hate him. Their both such amazingly talented wrestlers and could literally be given five minuets in the ring and still put on a great show. Once again I could watch these guys wrestle all night long. The match was a great length and one thing I have noticed in recent week is that NXT may only be an hour show but you get so much in t
hat one hour and with the match quality it blows the main roster shows out of the window. After a great match it was Neville who scored the win, moving onto the next round."
Even though we have a truly epic main event this Wednesday at NXT Takeover, I honestly believe this will be the match of the night. They are two of the most talented superstars to enter the WWE in years and they have so much to offer. Everyone is excited for this match and with the card looking the way it's looking, this may be the best live NXT show to date. But what do you think. Leave a comment bellow letting me know.
