Wrestlemania Flashback 2-4

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. Now, as you know it is now Wrestlemania season on my blog. Witch means from now right up to Wrestlemania thirty one my blog will be taken over by all things Wrestlemania, from top fives, to matches best for the thirty one card leading right up to the predictions on the final week. Today's post is the first in a complete series, Wrestlemania flashback. This will be a regular post going up every week leading up to the final prediction week. What I will be doing is going back to every single Wrestlemania and giving all the facts from that time. I will list every match that was on the card of that year and who won, the venue, how many people where in attendance and other little facts surrounding the Wrestlemania of  that year. There is special post for Mania one witch is why it is not featured in this post and we are starting at two to four. The links to any recent posts will be bellow at the end of the post. Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship: Hulk Hogan defeated King Kong Bundy

In 1986, after the great success of Wrestlemania one the previous year, the WWE made the bold and risky decision to hold Wrestlemania two in three separate cities with each location holding its own set of matches. The New York show highlighted by a boxing match between Mr T and Roddy Piper; Chicago gave us a 20 man battle Royal featuring WWE superstars and NFL players; Finally, Los Angeles had the main event of Hulk Hogan VS King Kong Bundy in a steel cage match.

In 1987 a record number of fans attended what was now a premier live event in all of sports entertainment. The main even would go on to make history as Hulk Hogan was set to take on the great, Andre the giant however by the end of the night everyone was more so talking about the Ricky Steamboat/ Randy Savage match up witch has gone down in history to be one of the greatest contests in sports entertainment history.

It may have seemed like an impossible take attempting to top Wrestlemania three after it's amazing
performance, however the WWE went event stronger with Mania four, despite being in a smaller arena. Fist, ticket priced topped at $150 (witch is around $295 in today's money) witch aided in surprising the prior years live gate. They also got a then record 600,000 pay per view buys.
