Get to know: The NXT Superstars part 1
Sami ZaynKicking off my "Get to know the NXT Superstars" is Sami Zayn. Born on July twelfth nineteen eighty four (making him thirty one now) in Hill Valley, Quebec Canada (resides in Montreal, Quebec Canada), Zayn started wresting all the way back in two thousand and two under the ring name Generico and didn't sign with World Wrestling Entertainment until two thousand and thirteen. Zayn spent years creating a following and developing he's wrestling ability and over the years competed against some of the biggest names in this business and on the independent scene including, Kevin Steen, Paul London, Chris Hero, Cesaro, Austin Aries, Sami Callihan and many many more. He worked for ROH, Dragon Gate, Evolve, Dragon Gate USA, Chikara, and more. He's held multiple championships around the world including; PWI: BWP World Catchwight Championship, GBG Heavyweight Championship, two time PWG World Championship, two time IWS Heavyweight Championship, and so many more. He made he's TV debut for WWE on May twenty second two thousand and thirteen. If you would like me to do a full get to know on Sami Zayn then let me know.
Up next is Tyler Breeze. I have already done a full get to know on Tyler Breeze and so I will link that bellow so you can go and check that out if you want to. Breeze was born on the nineteenth of January nineteen eighty eight in Canada, making him only twenty seven years old. He hasn't been wrestling as long as some of the other bigger names on the NXT roster. He started out back in two thousand and seven working under the ring name Mattias Wild at Power Zone Wrestling. He went on to go and work for NWA Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling in two thousand and eight. He did a lot of singles and tag team work there and had great success. After only wrestling for a thew years he signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in two thousand and ten when he was only twenty two. From there he started working for FCW where he had more tag team success with Roman Reigns, who then went under the name Leakee. On July 24th he was given a new gimmick, Tyler Breeze and he's early feud was with CJ Parker. Breeze stands at six foot and one hundred and ninety pounds.
Buddy Murphy is up next. Born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Buddy Murphy, real name Matthew Adams started wrestling in two thousand and seven. He competed for PCW, wrestling under the ring name Matt Silva. He had success in the promotion and gained a lot of experience, picking up some pretty big victories. In two thousand and thirteen he signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. He's first appearance was at a NXT live event on the twenty third of November two thousand and thirteen teaming with Sawyer Fulton and Troy McClain. In August of two thousand and fourteen Murphy started to team with Wesley Blake and it was from there that he started to get more success and he's career in the WWE really kick started. Throughout the rest of two thousand and fourteen Blake and Murphy would work small, short matches against bigger tag teams. They may not have bee picking up many victories but they were making an impact and in two thousand and fifteen they became the NXT Tag Team champions in a shock win over the Lucha Dragons. Murphy is five foot elven and two hundred and thirty two pounds.
Up next is Samoa Joe, one of the most recent faces to make their way to NXT. If you would like me to do a full get to know on Samoa Joe then do let me know in the comments bellow. Of course most of you will know Samoa Joe from he's work with Impact Wrestling and Ring Of Honour. He worked for TNA from two thousand and eight right up until two thousand and fifteen. He of course had great success their, becoming one of the biggest names and best talents of the companies history. Joe wrestled for ROH from two thousand and two all the way until two thousand eight. It was in ROH that I first became aware of he's work and I was a fan from that point onwards. He also wrestled for several other promotions throughout he's career including, Pro Wrestling Zero-One, Ultimate Pro Wrestling, PWG, and more. Joe signed he's WWE contract this year and debuted a couple of months back at NXT Takeover Unstoppable. He was born and raised in California. He was born on the seventeenth of Match nineteen seventy nine making him thirty six now. He's six foot two and two hundred and eighty nine pounds.

Here is a little sneak pick of what I wrote there in that blog post: Aiden English, real name Matt Rehwoldt was born in Chicago Illinois on the seventh of October nineteen eighty seven (making him only twenty seven years old now). English stands in at six foot three and weighs two hundred and fifteen pounds. He hasn't been wrestling as long as the other guys I have already spoken about in today's blog post. He stated out in two thousand and elven after he had spent the rest of he's career acting. By the age of twenty he had already appeared in over twenty stage productions. When he did start wrestling in twenty elven he wrestled for Chicago Style Wrestling where he worked mainly as part of a tag team. Only a year into wrestling, in two thousand and twelve he signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment where he started wrestling for FCW. He's first TV appearance was on April eighth two thousand and twelve competing in an inter gender match with Audrey Marie to take on Paige and Rick Victor.
Colin CassadyUp next is Colin Cassady. Born on the sixteenth of August nineteen eighty six in Queens, New York Colin Cassady real name William "Bill" Morrissey started wrestling in two thousand and ten. He fist started wrestling for World of Unpredictable Wrestling in two thousand and ten under the ring name Cowboy Big Bill Young. He signed he's contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in two thousand and eleven and started working for the developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling.When WWE re-branded it's developmental territory from FCW to NXT Morrissey continued working under the ring name Colin Cassady and he made he's NXT TV debut on the fifth of June two thousand and thirteen. He later formed an alliance with Enzo Amore. The two have known each other side of Wrestling since they were teenagers and so the chemistry between them has always been strong. I do think that these two have a huge Tag Team future ahead of them. Cassidy being seven foot tall sticks out like a saw thumb and working with Enzo and Carmella is only going to push he's career even more in the WWE.
Sawyer Fulton
Up next in my get to know the NXT superstars, part one is Sawyer Fulton. I have actually spoke quite a bit about Sawyer on my blog before but some of you might not know that much about Sawyer. He's yet to really make an impact in the WWE because there have been problems finding him the perfect character and role in NXT and the WWE. He's done some tag team work with Baron Corbin in the past and has competed in several tag team and single matches to put over the more popular talents. At the moment he is working with Angelo Dawkins as part of a tag team. Fulton's only twenty five years old so there's still plenty of time for him to find he's place and make improvements. He was born on the second of April, nineteen ninety. He's been wrestling since two thousand and ten signed he's contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in two thousand and thirteen. I do think that with time he could make a pretty big impact in the WWE. He's a big guy with bags of potential it's just going to be a character thing with him.
Up next is Sylvester Lefort. I haven't been the biggest fan of Sylvester Lefort if I'm being completely honest. I haven't really seen anything super special in him and he hasn't really stood out for me throughout he's time in NXT so far. He's had some decent matches and feuds but nothing super special. But I do see something in him. I think the mistake made with him already is splitting him up with Marcus Louis. I think he's going to struggle as a singles competitor. Anyway, lets get to know him a little more. Sylvester Lefort real name Thomas La Ruffa was born on the fourth of May nineteen eighty four, making him thirty four now, in Nice, France. He's early career started all the way back in two thousand and six first competing for Power Zone Wrestling in Canada. He went on to also wrestle for International Catch Wrestling Alliance, NWA Pro Dojo in California and wrestled in Europe. He signed he's contract with WWE in two thousand and twelve but work one match on Smackdown as a local competitor in two thousand and elven. He made he's NXT TV debut on May 29th two thousand and thirteen.
Angelo Dawkins has been signed with World Wrestling Entertainment since two thousand and twelve. He made he's NXT TV debut against Sami Zayn on the nineteenth of June two thousand and twelve. One of he's victories was against Slate Randall in a dark match. Angelo Dawkins, real name Gary Gordon was born on the twenty fourth of July nineteen ninety, making him only twenty four now. He stands at six foot five and weighs two hundred and eighty pounds. I do see a lot of potential in Angelo Dawkins. I think he has great wrestling ability and a traditional style. I think one of the biggest mistakes the WWE have made with Angelo Dawkins is he's character change. I feel like he's previous character was far more fun and interesting and it suited him more. He's a young, fun guy and that is what the previous character brought out in him, so I'm not sure about the new character and paring with Sawyer Fulton but I'm going to see what he brings to the roster from now on.
And finally, closing part one of my Get to know the NXT superstars is Simon Gotch. Real name John Smith, was born on October eighth nineteen eighty two, making him thirty two now, in New Jersey. He started wrestling all the way back in two thousand and two working in the independent scene. We saw him compete for All Pro Wrestling, Chikara, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and Full impact pro. He signed he's contract with World Wrestling Entertainment in two thousand and thirteen and made he's NXT TV debut in June of two thousand and fourteen when he started working as part of a tag team with Aiden English. You may remember me saying that I wasn't a fan of Aiden English being in a tag team but I have really grown to love these two and they have become one of my favourite tag teams. I think Simon is a great talent that brings something very different to the WWE. He stands at Six foot one and weighs two hundred and twenty one pounds.
