What I mean by this question is NXT star Tyler Breeze looking to be going down the same career path as former World champion, Dolph Ziggler. I'm going to be telling you a big about Tyler Breeze, I'm going to be taking you through he's career so far and what he has been up to and then comparing the two superstars. I personally have been a big big fan of Tyler Breeze since the moment I first saw him wrestle. I've been very vocal both on twitter and here on my blog when it comes to just how much of a supporter I am of he's. I think he brings something different and gives the WWE that "thing" that it seems to be missing. He's fun, he's exciting, he's interesting, he has a great character, good mic skills, makes an amazing heel, and is one of the best in ring performers in the WWE today. Sound familiar to you? Since he arrived in the WWE, Tyler Breeze has had a lot of comparisons to past and present WWE superstars, one of those superstars being Dolph Ziggler. But do their similarities lie more than just with their looks and character? Is Tyler Breeze set to have an identical career to Dolph Ziggler? Well that is exactly what I'm going to be asking and answering in today's blog post. But let''s first get to know Tyler Breeze a little more...

Tyler Breeze aka Mattias Clement was born on January nineteenth, nineteen eighty eight, making him only twenty seven years old. I have to admit I had no idea he was this young at all! As some of you may know he's Canadian, six foot and only one hundred and ninety five pounds. He was trained by Lance Storm and Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). He made he's wrestling debut in to thousand and seven in Power Zone Wrestling under the ring name Mattias Wild.On April twenty-fifth two thousand and seven Mattias had he's first match in Power Zone Wrestling, facing Sami Callihan, picking up he's first win. Clement wrestled for the Wrestling with Hunger Charity event from the second to fifth of April witch was held by NWA Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling.Clement won a match on May second, against Alex Plexis  to qualify for the first round of the two thousand and nine Pacific Cup he later lost however to Billy Suede on June six, two thousand and nine. On September fifth Clement lost a tag team match with Dan Myers against the team of Jamie Diaz and Nick Price, it wad the first round match for the ECCW Tag team championships. The two teams would go on to feud however it was Jamie Diaz and Nick Price who came out on top. Clement would wrestle he's last match for the company before he went to Prairie Wrestling Alliance for ECCW against  "Ravenous" Randy Myers witch we lost. While he was at ECCW he was trained by Lance Storm in Calgary Alberta. On December second two thousand and ten, Clement made he's debut for Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) at a live event. After going through several ring names, Clement made he's FCW TV debut under the ring name Mike Dalton on July seventeen, two thousand and elven where he lost to Alexander Rusev. On November seventeen of two thousand and eleven Dalton picked up he's first FCW win against Peter Orlov. He would go on to win a battle royal on December 15, to earn the right to compete for the FCW Heavyweight championship. He challenged Leo Kruger but lost the match. Dalton won the FCW Heavyweight championship on February 2, 2012 against Kruger, he's reign last 21 day's when he lost the title in a  re-match against Kruger. When WWE re-branded FCW to NXT Dalton debuted as an Enchantment talent on the NXT taping at Full Sail University, where he teamed with CJ Parker to face The Ascension. Dalton teamed with Jason Jordan on the August 1, 2012 edition of NXT and defeated the team of Hunico and Camacho. They lost a re-match to Hunico and Camacho on the August 29 episode of NXT. Clement re-debuted on July 24, 2013 with the new Gimmick  as Tyler Breeze. On December 8, on the episode of NXT, Breeze started a feud with Adrian Neville after costing him the NXT Championship in a lumberjack match.Neville won the feud, witch ended in a couple of week's later.

So let's take a look at what we have already seen from Tyler since arrive in the WWE. Right at the start of he's career in FCW he did some tag team work with Roman Reigns, which some of you may not have known. To be honest the work that was done down in FCW isn't really spoken about very often. It was when he was given the Tyler Breeze gimmick that he really started to shine and it was a slow build up to get to the top for him. He spent a lot of time competing in the smaller matches to gain popularity but he's character really allowed him to shine and take the spotlight. Eventually we would really see him begin to take over when he started working with Sami Zayn. The two had an amazing number one contenders match at an NXT Takeover show and by the end of it everyone was commenting on the fact that he was more than just a pretty face. He had spent a lot of time coming across as the guy with the out their character and decent in ring ability but after this night everything he changed. He had proven that he could move around that ring at a level we don't even see from the main roster guys. He was a stand out of the night and completely stole the show. We then saw him start feuding even more for the NXT Championship when he competed in a fatal four way main event for the NXT Championship alongside Sami Zayn, Tyson Kidd, and Adrian Neville. Once again he had a stand out performance and was able to compete at the level of the top guys on the roster. After this night there was no doubt that he was/is one of those top guys of the roster. He started main eventing and competing in some of the best matches we had seen in NXT history. When he competes in the ring he's very very aggressive. Despite checking himself out half way through matches and being protective of he's face, he doesn't hold back and makes everyone know that he is there to be the best. He's athleticism is amazing! He's both fast enough to compete against the likes of Adrian Neville and Kofi Kingston but knows how to slow it down and use he's aggressiveness to have a great brawl with some of the more technical guys on the roster like Cesaro. He makes everything he does look effortless and every single move flows nicely into the other. He's move set is exciting and you never know what he is going to pull out next. Unpredictability is something we all love when watching a wrestling match right? I mean, can you imagine how amazing he is going to be when he competes in he's first money in the bank ladder match? Magic.

As for character there is no doubt he has one of the best in NXT history. I have loved the Tyler Breeze character from day one. It's something that's different but works. Of course it has been compared to John Morrison for the obvious reasons but I think he makes something some people would think was dated seem very up to date and current. You either love or hate the character but you cannot deny that he is one phenomenal wrestler. The thing with Tyler Breeze is he's very very convincing. He knows how to make you hate him but how to make you love him at the same time. Everyone has an opinion of him and that is what makes a successful WWE superstar. He's character is ever growing and over the past year he has built a real solid fan base. Even the people that don't like him enjoy watching him wrestle. He's previous character had no direction or interest while Tyler Breeze, the Zoolander model gimmick captivates and entertains an audience. It's wacky and different. There isn't a gimmick like he's on the NXT roster right now and that is allowing him to stand out massively. What the WWE look for is a gimmick that grabs the attention of the WWE/NXT universe and this does just that. He's character alone sets him apart from the rest and generates interest. Yeah it's a little silly and it's wacky to say the least but the outrageous attire and selfie stick are bound to make him stand out when he gets onto the main roster and it makes him very marketable. Throughout matches we see him if full character. From how he talks to the referee's to how he moves around the ring and torments he's opponents to the fact that he gets out the selfie stick and phone half way through a match to check himself. He know's how Tyler Breeze the character, should walk and talk and even singing he's entrance theme is a pretty big deal when it comes to he's character. He's naturally funny in a way that still makes you hate him and that's a real talent. When he does reach the main roster all of this will allow him to stick out from the other gimmicks. The gimmicks that are far more boring and stale.

So let's now take a look at Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler has had a real up and down journey since coming to the WWE. He's been on the roster for a long time now, having he's days before becoming Dolph Ziggler. He's someone that has developed this strong loyal fan base over the years and has been highlighted as one of the most unindustrialised WWE superstars of all time. We all know that he is an amazing talent. He's one of the best in ring perfumers on the roster right now and he has been for a long time. However, the WWE just have never really listened to the fans when it comes to Ziggler and they haven't given him that big push he deserves. Sure he was the World Heavyweight champion a couple of years back but it wasn't a long title reign at all and it wasn't a strong one either. It was clear that the WWE had no idea what to do with him as champion and preferred to have it on someone they deemed more main event material. He's show off gimmick isn't overly gimmicky like Tyler Breeze but it's similar and it means that he makes a perfect heel and baby face. Even when he is being pushed as the bad guy we all still love him. The entire WWE universe know that Dolph Ziggler is a top top talent but the WWE never ever push him as one. Instead he is stuck in the mid card section of the roster with the odd amazing booking every other month or so. But why do I think Tyler Breeze is heading in the same direction?

Well first of all we all know that the WWE like the bigger guys. One of the main reasons why the WWE have never really given Dolph that big big push is because of he's image. Things have changed over the years but the WWE have always liked one particular image to take the spotlight. Look at the history. It's been guys like Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Randy Orton, Stone Cold, and Roman Reigns to take the spotlight and be pushed as the big main event stars. There isn't much diversity at all. Guys like Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze just don't make the top spot in the WWE. Breeze is the same height as Ziggler at six foot but he's a little lighter than Ziggler at only one hundred and ninety pounds. With he's model gimmick it does mean that he's smaller frame makes more sense but its something that is bound to work against him. The WWE like the guys that are around the two hundred and fifty pounds mark. Almost like the bigger the better and the more attractive you are the better. However, we are seeing changes. With NXT taking over we are seeing a whole new type of main event picture. It's a roster where it doesn't matter what size you are as long as you connect with the fans and have great wrestling ability then you are in for a shot at becoming champion. NXT is changing what we want to see in a top star and is proving that we don't just need one big star like John Cena and instead we can have multiple guys on top. In fact the WWE universe are favouring the smaller guys. However, with such a strong, different, out their gimmick, I can't see Breeze taking the main event picture and the WWE World Heavyweight championship when he gets to the main roster.

At the moment we haven't seen strong booking for Tyler Breeze what so ever. He's had a couple of matches over the past couple of months but nothing strong. I understand that he can't be booked in top matches all the time, no one can, but he is far better than what he has been getting recently. It's almost as if the WWE are preparing him for what is to come in the future. Just like Ziggler however, he has already built a strong solid fan base and people have already made comments on the fact that he is better than what we have seen him be given. I do think that he is going to have a very very similar career path as Dolph Ziggler. I think if the WWE do fail him and don't book him strongly then the fans will have something to say about it. They will be the first to start the the Push Breeze campaign. I think because of what we have seen from in NXT and knowing just how great he is the WWE wouldn't be able to afford booking him badly. I do think he is going to be a strong strong addition to the mid card section of the roster. He has a very similar in ring style to Dolph Ziggler and I think they would compliment each others ability's and styles greatly in the ring so Id love to see
Dolph Ziggler as World Heavyweight Champion
them feud eventually. Prince Pretty VS The Show Off is something I know I sure want to see. I do think that as he's career goes on just like Dolph he will be booked in great matches and have some of the best in WWE history. But I can't see him becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion any time soon in he's early career. I do think the WWE see something very special in him and I do have hope that they will book him strong and have compete as a top star at some point. They had him compete in dark matches for RAW and Smackdown a lot last year and he's one of the first in NXT to get he's own merch. I think no matter what he is going to have the respect and love from the WWE universe just like Ziggler does and I do think that even if he isn't made a top star he will stand out as a top star and have the fans by he's side. but what do you think? Let me know what you think of today's blog post and whether you believe Tyler Breeze is the next Dolph Ziggler by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.
