RAW Review and Reactions

Hey everyone, It's Tuesday and the night after one hell of a Monday night RAW. I'm back today with my RAW review and reactions. I was worried I wasn't going to get this up today because I've been really un-well! I will leave the link's to last week's RAW Review and Reactions and the Summer Slam Reactions post at the end of this one so you can check those out if you haven't done so already. You can also let me know what you though of last nights action by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria

So the night kicked off with a divas segment. I mentioned in my RAW predictions post that I thought they would kick start the night with the new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar but I also said it was likely hey could open with the Bella's as well. The night started with Daniel Bryan's entrance theme running through the arena, but no Bryan was far from the show last night and it was Stephanie who came out to the crowd mocking Bryan's entrance and wearing a Steph! Steph! Steph! t-shirt mocking the Yes top of Daniel. It was clear she had the crowd fooled but I saw this coming a mile off. Once she was in the ring and her actual music and stopped playing she began running us through the nights events and re-capping what had happened last night and the success of the Authority/heels. I have to admit she owned the mic as usual and played her role really well. I think Stephanie has been doing amazing lately, she's earned the right to be called one of the greats female heels of all time and has added so much to her character. Everything she say's is convincing and she tick's all the boxes in what make's a great heel. Her mic skill's have got her better, her confidence out in the ring alone has got better, her presence is the presence of a strong heel and she can work the crowd like anyone other. The opening continued when Stephanie called out Nikki Bella. When the recently turnt heel entered the ring she basically began slagging her sister off talking about there childhood and career and how she has always lived in the shadow of her twin sister. The most shocking part of the opening was the terrible acting on Nikki Bella's behalf. Believe it or not but she's actually worse than Brie! It appears it run's in the family. The problem was she out too much into it and completely over did it on the cliché acting techniques. I said it last night but there really was no need for her to act so much. Most of us have seen her on total divas and we all know she's a natural bitch and we've seen the tension between the girls at times so all she had to do was speak instead of try and do this Oscar performance. Anyway, Brie soon joined her sister and "enemy" in the ring and without directly speaking through a mic she just started speaking to her sister asking why she did what she did at Summer Slam and telling her she can forgive her, at that point Nikki lost it and slapped her round the face. I've always thought that Nikki made a better heel and I'm glad they finally turnt her. I do think they need to work on her acting, put her in some matches and officially make her a member of the authority maybe give her a managing job along side Kane or something. It's obvious that Nikki and Brie will go one on one at some point maybe at the Hell in a Cell PPV? I doubt it will be at night of champions but it's defo gonna happen.
The first match up of the night was one of many tag team match's this time it was against newly made tag team partners The Big Show and Mark Henry VS Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. I have said it time and time again but I have no idea why on earth Harper and Rowan ain't tag team champions already. They have everything a tag team need and everything we fans want in a tag team. The two have proven they are worthy champions and in my opinion they should off been holding the titles since Money In the Bank. As for Show and Henry I think a lot of people have mixed opinions on it. Personally I like the idea. It makes sense and they work well together but knowing WWE I cant see it going far. I doubt they will hold the tag team championships even though they clearly are building them up, but let's face it if they want us to take them seriously as a tag team they do need to build them up obviously and so far so good. We've mainly seen them on Smackdown working together and over there they have been working with Harper and Rowan as well. The four men actually work really well together. The matches both tag and singles have been pretty good to my surprise. I do think they need to give them new opponents though. If they keep having them  beat the Wyatts it's gonna do nothing for Harper and Rowan who are a great tag team and and great singles competitors and they'll just end up buried as superstars. As for the whole tag team division it is very very weak. I say it every single day but I'm just sitting here waiting for The Ascension to debut on the main roster and save the division witch hopefully isn't very long. The actual match last night was really good, well I got into it anyway. Show and Henry showed that they are ones to watch and worked really good together
dominating most of the match. Harper and Rowan did put up fight but not good enough to pick up the win. I'm really wondering were there going with the new tag team but I like the idea anyway and I think it's a good thing for them to be doing leading up to their retirement. Henry will be in action tonight on Main event.
So we also got a little backstage segment between Dolph Ziggler and Ric Flair. Now I'm one of the many people who have been waiting for Flair to manage Ziggler. Will it happen? I still doubt it but I also still have hope! There something about the pairing that works and I really would love to see it happen. It would do wonders for Ziggler's career and well is best for business. Miz soon interrupted wearing god know's what and we soon had the match up between the two, Miz's right-full re-match for the Intercontinental championship. The match was one of the matches of the night and I really got into it. The two have great chemistry in the ring and have had several awesome matches together and that one was just another one to add to the list. It was a back and forth match and at times I really thought Miz would pick up the win. I was really disappointed with the ending of a count out win, kinda felt that Miz was screwed over to be honest. I'm hopeing this ain't the end of there little feud. They actually have had a pretty good mid card feud and to my surprise I really have got into the feud, but by the look's of things it's back to jobbing for Miz. There was also a lot of backstage interviewing last night witch meant a lot (and I mean a lot) of Renee Young. I haven't really spoke about Renee much just because she's only a backstage interviewer and commentator, but I'm really not a big fan of her. Don't get me wrong she's great at her job and she's one of the best female interviews they've had in a very very long time, not to forget she's great to look at but I cant stand her voice and the way she gives everyone she interviews the look, the look that indicates she wants to bang the crap out of them! I much prefer Eden and hopefully we get to see more of her soon. But anyway back to the actual superstars and the interview. The first one came from Seth Rollins witch was soon interrupted by Dean Ambrose who pored a bucket of ice cold water over him out of nowhere and then chucking the bucket in he's face and attacking him. This led to Rollins having a little bitch to Kane and Triple H about him. It was then announced that the two will go one on one once again and this time the fans would be able to choose the stipulation of the match on the WWE APP. We also got an interview with Chris Jericho who basically closed the door on the feud with Bray Wyatt and Bray did also late that night in a little promo. This has only led me to think what is next for Bray Wyatt? Personally I wanna see Bray and Reigns feud. The two have amazing chemistry in the ring and have been involved in awesome six man tag team competition but to be honest I cant see it happening. There was also an interview with Jack Swagger. Now I feel really really sorry for Swagger. He's Summer Slam match was actually really good but he didn't pick up the win and got defeated in a weak way. I have no idea what's next for him but it looks like nothing amazing going by what we saw last night. He did amazing in the interview without Zeb and the match up he had with Cesaro was okay but once again he didn't pick up the win. I have said quit a lot lately but I do think it's best he is put in a feud with Sheamus for the United States championship. I think it would be best for both men and would benefit them both. There needs to be some sense of importance brought back to all the championships, and that includes the US title. It's one that has really got lost recently. A feud between Sheamus and Swagger for the championship will be great for both the superstars and the title.
Back to some divas action and last night saw new Divas champion Paige go one on one with Natalya who debuted a new attire, a new attire I personally cant stand! The thing with Nattie is she has a different build to the other divas and it's her look and style that separates her from the rest, making her look like all the others by smacking a crap load of make up on her face and giving her a girly new attire just makes her another diva on the roster. The match was interrupted by AJ Lee who worked as a distraction allowing Natalya to pick up the win against the champ. After that AJ hit the mic and switched her crazy mode on. I have no idea where there going with this storyline now to be honest. All I know is that I do not want Aj back as the divas champion again. There's just no need. She had a long title reign before and it's time for a new diva to take the
spotlight, but there is rumours of AJ leaving the WWE and if there true then I think I can see were this is going.
It was then time to present the new champion with the new championship belt. Now last night seemed like the start if a new era. The WWE has under gone a transformation with the theme music for RAW, the style, logo and championship. I like the new look but it's gonna take some getting used too to say the least. So once Lesnar was given the new title and took some pictures Heyman hit the mic. Once again Heyman showed  us why he has every right to be called the king of the mic. The man literally had me glued to my TV and listening to every single word he said. There really is no one like him in the business. I thought it was great that Cena was absent from the show last night it made Lesnar look really good, I think they should of had him out for thew weeks just to empathise the power of Lesnar and the damage he was suppose to have done to him at Summer Slam. But as it was announced yesterday Cena will be back next week to have a moan about he's match from Sunday's PPV. There was also a pointless six man tag match with the team of Rybaxle and Randy Orton VS Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Rob Van Dam. The match as a whole was pretty boring, well I didn't enjoy it anyway. It was just pointless. I said it enough times but I do no want the feud with Reigns and Orton to continue but going by last night it looks like it will be. The two need to be put in new feuds and given something completely new all together. Talking of pointless matches The Usos had a tag match against Goldust and Stardust in witch was probably the worst match of the night in my opinion.
Main event time and Jerry announced in the ring that the WWE universe had voted a falls count anywhere match for Dean and Seth. Now I just wanna say how proud I am of these two. They stole the show Sunday at Summer Slam and went of to main event RAW and once again steal the show, I was really worried the spotlight would be on Roman Reigns and Rollins and Ambrose would be put in the mid card section of the roster but the two have proven time and time again that they are the future of the WWE and not only main event stars but championship material. The overall match was amazing and the two men showed us what a real main event match is. I do wish they would of used the fact that it was a falls count anywhere match but it was overall awesome and the crowd showed there appreciation throughout it. Now the ending. I don't think TV has ever made me so angry. I literally am done with Kane. I have no idea why he's involved in this feud but he's involvement last night left me going to be really angry. I thought it was a great way to write Ambrose off whilst he goes off to film for the movie. It once again showed the feud is completely far from over and once he comes back he's gonna be stronger and better than ever before. It helped add heat to the feud, got the fans even more interested and pushed Rollins as a heel. Looks like we wont be seeing Ambrose for a month or two witch is gonna suck for me as an Ambrose fan but it's just made me and I'm sure many others even more excited to see what happens next between the two. All round I thought it was a pretty good RAW. But what did you think? Let me know by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.
