Royal Rumble Predictions Part One

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World, I hope you are all well. It's officially Royal Rumble week, and as we prepare for the first pay per view of two thousand and fifteen I will be bringing you my predictions for the show throughout the whole week leading right up to Sunday evening (morning for us UK viewers). Now, usually what I do is write up predictions for each match on the card but as you know for this pay per view things are a little different because we have a couple of matches then the big Royal Rumble match so what I'm going to be doing is predicting each match on the card as usual but also doing little predictions of possible outcomes for the Royal Rumble match. I did ask on twitter last week if you would like to see one big prediction post or little individual ones so I'm going by what some of you guys said. Some of the usual posts that go up weekly will be up on different days and at different times, but I will try and keep them as close to the usual time table as possible. You can let me know what YOUR predictions are for the show by  leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria. Finally, I will leave the links  bellow to any recent pots so you can stay all  up to date on everything. Right, let's get into the predictions.

A big turn for Sheamus
My first little prediction is all about Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior has been out of action for a thew months now due to another injury. For the past two years or so Sheamus has been suffering with  he's shoulder and made he's return to action  last year at the Royal Rumble,  but was clearly unable to complete the year due to further injuries later on in the year. For well over a year now I have been commenting on how important a heel turn is for Sheamus considering the fact he has been playing a top heel since two thousand and eleven. I will leave some links bellow to where I spoke more about why I think he needs to turn heel. Talking of the heel turn I honestly think there is no better time for him to return and at the same time turn heel. Coming back at the Royal Rumble opens so many doors and after a weak year last year (especially during Wrestlemania season) Sheamus needs to come back stronger than ever and an even bigger heel than he's ever been. But how? How will Sheamus cement himself as a top heel and will another surprise return at the Royal Rumble pay per view work for Sheamus? Well, I honestly think if anyone could pull off two returns at the Royal Rumble, it's Sheamus. He's history inside this match has been amazing, since two thousand and eleven he has either won the Royal Rumble or been down to the last three and even though this is going to be a tough year to predict I really do believe he will be in that final three or five again. We all know the most popular guy to win the Rumble this year is Roman Reigns but with top baby faces like Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose also going in we need a major heel to do some eliminating. The debate that Reigns or Ambrose will turn on each other is still active but what about Daniel Bryan. I do think it;s likely he will main event Wrestlemania but I think it's an even bigger possibility he wont. What I would love to see is Sheamus come back and eliminate Bryan. There's no better way to cement yourself as a top heel than to eliminate the top star right now. Setting up a feud between the two will allow Sheamus to slowly enter the bigger picture and at the same time slowly move Daniel away from the Authority. That being said I do think Sheamus will play a role with the Authority, maybe not a major role but he will be somehow associated with them. Either way I'm convinced that Sheamus will be returning this Sunday and he will have some huge up he's sleeve that will set up something big for Wrestlemania.

The Test of Brotherhood
I just mentioned that the favourite to win the Royal Rumble is of course Mr Roman Reigns himself. But with other top stars like Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose also going into the match a number of possible outcomes are surfacing the internet. There has been a lot of people including myself that have believe the Dean Ambrose will be turning heel any time soon but we are yet to see the turn happen. If the WWE do plan on turning Ambrose heel than there really is only one place for it, the Royal Rumble pay per view. Now, the argument still stands, out of Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns who is winning the Royal Rumble? The truth of it is is that either one of them  could win and it would make sense and would be easy to put in a storyline, despite what happens with the WWE World heavyweight championship match. If they go for Bryan to win there is no doubt in my mind that Ambrose will eliminate Roman from the match, just like Reigns did to him last year. Weather or not a feud between the two would work at this time of their careers and the year I don't know but it would force Roman to work much much harder both in the ring and on the mic. But one thing we shouldn't do is rule Ambrose out of this. There is a huge possibility the WWE could go in a complete different direction and have Ambrose win the Royal Rumble match and because I'm so convinced that the Wrestlemania main event won't be a one on one match it makes me even more sure Ambrose will win the Rumble. Over the past year he has been one of the top stars in the WWE and proven to be a main event quality superstar and so having him win the Royal Rumble would be a huge step in he'e career and really open some intresting doors leading up to Wrestlemania. However, say he doesn't win. With two huge feud losses to Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt, can Dean Ambrose afford to loose another big match? And what will the WWE do with him if he does loose. Reigns and Rollins will be in a main event feud as will Bryan and so it leaves Dean looking for something else. I think no matter what Dean Ambrose will be playing a major major role in this year's Royal Rumble match and there is no doubt in my mind he will be in the final five if not three.

NXT Stars likely to debut at Royal Rumble
My final topic of today is all about the stars of the future, as I predict possible debuts of NXT stars at the Royal Rumble pay per view. The Royal Rumble is the perfect time to showcase new and up coming talent. Stars like Bo Dallas and Rusev have made their debuts on the big stage at this pay per view helping them boos their popularity before the major main main debut. It's the perfect way to prepare the new stars for the bigger audiences and allow them to make an impact early on in their careers.

Adrian Neville
The most popular NXT star to make an appearance at the Royal Rumble is Adrian Neville. For the past year everyone has been asking when the high flyer would be making he's way to the main roster and since dropping the NXT championship a couple of months ago the rumours of when he would debut on the main roster and the changes to he's character began to surface the internet. I personally think the perfect time for him to make an appearance on the main roster would be at the Royal Rumble. Being a high flyer he could bring a lot to the Rumble match and with him an Kofi Kingston in their we could see some very intresting stuff. This may not be he's official debut but it would be a nice little teaser of what's to come in the next month or so when he make's he's official big debut. It will allow him to showcase what he can do and how diverse he is. Eliminating a big name would be the perfect way to kick start a good year for him on the main roster.

Tyler Breeze
We then have Tyler Breeze. I think it's just as likely to see Tyler Breeze at this year's Royal Rumble as it is Adrian Neville. We haven't seen much of Breeze that much recently on NXT however, he had an amazing amazing two thousand and fourteen, being in some of the best matches of the year and proving to be a top main event star. I did write up another post explaining why I thought Breeze would not hold the NXT championship before he went up to the main roster and I will leave the link to that bellow so you can have a look at that if you haven't already. I still stick by this one hundred per cent, I honestly don't think he will hold the title before he goes up to the main roster. Breeze has been working dark matches and touring with the main roster for a while now and has proven to be more than ready for the bigger stages. An appearance at the Royal Rumble will allow him to prepare even more for the main roster and get the WWE universe to understand him and he's character more building him up before he's major debut giving him some extra popularity.

Finn Balor
Despite only being in NXT for a thew months, after looking around the internet it seems a lot of fans seem to think we may see an appearance from Finn Balor at this Sunday's Royal Rumble. Now, I personally think it's very unlikely considering he's still in the build up stage but I'm not ruling it out at all. Over the summer of two thousand and fourteen it was announced that the WWE had signed three major stars who now all go by the names Kevin Ownes, Hideo Itami and Finn Balor. All three stars are not in any need to developmental and could of easily joined the main roster straight away but we all know that's not how things work. For some reason I don't think Balor will win the NXT championship before going up to the main roster. The WWE have showed greatly how big they are on him and how much they don't want to waste any time with him. If they do decided to have him
make an appearance this Sunday it would be a huge risk but the question is, is there more for him on the main roster right now than on NXT?

Baron Corbin
The final person I'm going to speak about today is Baron Corbin. Out of everyone in this list Baron Corbin is the least likely to make an appearance at this Sundays Royal Rumble pay per view but it seems like we shouldn't rule him out. Since making he's official NXT debut last year he has made a huge impact and has proven to be a huge hit with the NXT universe. Now, Corbin, just like Balor, may be in he's build up stage but if we look back at history we will see that back in two thousand and thirteen Bo Dallas made an appearance at the Royal Rumble pay per view and eliminated Bad News Barrett while still being in  he's build up stage and didn't make he's main roster debut until the middle of two thousand and fourteen. Baron Corbin could very easily be in the same position. At almost seven foot and nearly three hundred pounds, Barons size would play a major role in the Royal Rumble and grab the attention of many fans in the arena and online who may or may not know of him. This would really help build Corbin up and with a possible main roster debut later on in the year, this would give Baron the extra popularity and heat.
