RAW Review and Reactions

Hello everyone and welcome back to Talk Wrestling World. Last night saw the night after the final WWE pay per view of the year, TLC, and to be fair it was actually a decent episode of RAW. We finally got to see both Brock Lesnar and the actual WWE World Heavyweight championship. There were some interesting story development and of course the return of Chris Jericho, as he was the guest host for the night, witch was pretty awesome. This time next week will be final post before the Christmas break and it will actually be a RAW Review and Reactions post. Remember throughout this week I will be uploading the rest of my official of the year post including divas match of the year, my top twenty matches of the year and the big one, superstar of the year. I will leave the link's bellow to any recent post including my TLC Review and Reactions and my RAW predictions from last night. You can also let me know what you thought of last night's episode of RAW by leaving a comment bellow or by tweeting me at @TezangiVictoria.

Chris Jericho, who of course was in charged of RAW last night, kicked off the show with a monster of a reaction from the crowd, and with #RAWIsJericho trending all night long. He would showcase those epic mic skills once again and gear everyone up for what was set to be an eventful night. However it wasn't long before Jericho had some company as Paul Heyman made he's way to the ring to confront Jericho. As the two went back and fourth at each other about pretty much everything two grown men in the company could argue about another man would join the scene, the man being the self proclaimed future of the WWE, Seth Rollins and then Cena would soon also get involved. The segment as a whole I thought was great. It was a nice strong start to the night and come on who doesn't want to see Chris Jericho and Paul Heyman go at it in some verbal abuse? The opening would lead to a couple of announcements, including Jericho later hosting the highlight reel with guests Lana and Rusev, the main event match being John Cena VS Seth Rollins inside a steel cage, and match up between Paul Heyman and Chris Jericho with the WWE universe voting what stipulation the match would be, even though they were all the same.

The first match of the night was a tag team match between the team of Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan and Luke Harper and the big show. Keep in mind I was still pretty angry about the previous night's decisions, such as Luke Harper dropping the title to Ziggler and Rowan for no reason what so ever losing to Big show. Anyway, Ziggler would come out (the only one having their full entrance aired witch frustrated me) showing off he's battle wounds from the previous night. The match itself  was good. It wasn't amazing or match of the year quality but it was enough to be a good, solid start to the show and a nice little way of giving all four guys some decent air time. Stand out's for me have to be Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler. They both had great little spots in the match up but in my opinion Rowan and Harper should of got way more time in the ring. I have no idea what the WWE are doing right now but they are clearly really high on the Big show right now, shoving him down out throats. He of course picked up the win after pining Erick Rowan. As you can guess I hated this. I still don't understand this decision and I think it was the worse move to make possible. If anything the match should of ended in DQ or they should of had Rowan pin Show to have him gain some momentum after losing the previous night. I'm a huge fan of Rowan and I hate that they have had him loose cleanly to a retiring big show two nights in a row. It's so important that they focus on building up their new talent the best they can instead of giving the spotlight to someone who won't be around much longer. Bad first move last night.

It was then time for the only divas match of the night witch was yet another tag team match. We had the team of Alicia Fox and Natalya go head to head with Brie Bella and the divas champion herself Nikki Bella. They got about three minuets in the ring last night, if that. This is still an on going problem that hopefully the WWE change around in the upcoming year. The booking for the divas is beyond weak. No thought goes into it what so ever. There was no hints as to who will be next to challenge Nikki for the championship and the Bella's came out with no win on their side.

Chris Jericho was then back on our screens and it was time for the Highlight Reel with guests Lana and the United States champion Rusev. It was entertaining to say the least. I loved it and I'm sure many others did. The closing moments of the segment involved Ryback and Rusev in a stare off with Lana and Rusev leaving Ryback standing in the ring. I don't know how I feel about this to be honest. I don't think I like the idea of the to feuding. There's nothing there between the two and it lacks everything a feud really needs. I also really don't want Rusev to have he's first loss to Ryback. However, I do understand that Ryback does need something strong to bounce back off of and the US championship might be just perfect. But this could easily go horribly wrong if things don't go he's way.

We then had the New Day member's Big E and Xavier Woods in a tag team match (yes another tag team match) against Gold and Stardust. Even though I had no interest in this match what so ever the length of it meant that all four guys could show a lot in the ring and it was actually a pretty good match. Even though  hate to admit it, Xavier Woods did a great job last night. The match seemed to flow better and I just think he's getting more confident in the ring. I still dislike him though. I have been mentioning over the past couple of weeks how I think it's time for the Stardust gimmick to go and that hasn't changed. I think storyline wise it has done all it can and it's time for Cody to come back, however bringing Cody Rhodes back may be more difficult than it seems.

Pointless moment's of the night include a one on one match up between Kane and Adam Rose. The highlights of this were the Bunny getting tombstoned and Jimmy Jacobs being a rosebud. It's clear the WWE have no idea what to do with both Superstars, especially Kane, witch really does such and I hope they find something strong for him in the upcoming months. A face turn for him is more than necessary. We then had Roman Reigns interrupt and attack Fandango for no reason what so ever. Half way through a promo Fandango was randomly attacked by Reigns witch made no sense at all. Big show would then come down the ramp and address Roman however received a superman punch in the process. If the WWE are planing on putting Roman Reigns in a feud with Big show, than maybe they aren't trying to keep the spotlight off Ambrose. That's all I'm saying for now. We also had Jimmy Uso defeat the Miz. Looks like they Usos are staying in the tag team championship picture.

They also showed another little promo for the debut of the Ascension as they are set to arrive on the main roster in the upcoming weeks.

Brock Lesnar then made he's return stopping the Chris Jericho/Paul Heyman match, witch was set to be a street fight match as voted by the WWE universe. Lesnar of course came out saving the ass of Heyman leaving a beaten down Jericho in the ring. For the older fans this was an epic moment. Seeing Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar in the ring together at the same time. A truly amazing moment and one that left a huge smile on my face. It's just a shame we won't see them feud.

We then of course had the main event witch saw John Cena and Seth Rollins go one on one in a steel cage. This was easily the match of the night and the to completely stole the show. Rollins of course was the stand of the match and night, with one of he's best performances to date. I said it in a previous post that Cena and Rollins always put on amazing matches so I knew this would be another one to add to the list. After Cena was attacked by Lesnar, Rollins was able to get an easy win with having Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar on he's Side at the same time.
